Not all servers have the same community like the one you experienced. I was in Tortus and the community is a hell as theres too many dramas going on.Agree that game is really fun but its tedious to form up a group for dungeons.

Google Releases Browser Aka Chrome Beta release
onscreen replied to dimumurray's topic in Search Engines
Nice read, glad to see Google decided to join the browser making train and do some serious competition. Hope they allow interface customization. Update : screenshots of Google Chrome can be found here : http://blogoscoped.com/ -
Good quality photos is based on your experience. Sadly i dont have any photography magazines with me at the moment to cross reference on which camera have good reviews on it.Have you tried surfing around your local online retails that sell cameras?

phpbb is good but with recent phpbb3 release, i find that its not really user friendly compare to mybb. IMO, every forum package available in the market have its own advantages. I would advice you to run a local server and try some of the forum package locally and its easier to judge from there. For me, i like SMF and mybb but when it comes to making a general forum, phpbb is my choice as it has the most users since its the best alternative to vBulletin.

Its a good start for a beginner and lots of improvements can be done in time to come. Here is a tip : a header text must have more visibility than the background or any other support graphical elements. This apply to header logo as well. All the best

I did say start on picking up a game then learn game modding from there. Usually a person who knows game modding would know how to make games easily.Games like Unreal, Half Life series usually include SDKs which can help you on your learning process. But before all the dreams and big plans, like what other said, learn the basics of C++ and understand the in and outs of it.

I would say start small, having a great idea for a project doesnt mean you can start right away. I am not a programming person but i have worked with one before on a mobile phone game.Put the huge idea aside and try on a smaller idea where you and your friend could work on side by side. Yes, a LAN-only game is a great start as you can test out the game remotely through hamachi client.Back in the high school days where i was so interested in Visual basic, i started by writing a 2D side scroll shooting game and slowly moved on to 2.5D (isometric) game. Maybe you could do that as well.I am not sure what others would give you as advice but for me, start small and simple, once you get the hook on the game developing architecture then start going something big. Many hobbyist programmers fall due to instead of crawling, they start to run and jump. All the best mate

Ah, since you are building a new computer from scratch, still i prefer GTX280 Just make sure you get a true power PSU that have around 500w + and a casing that have sufficient space for the card and the drives. Make sure the drive doesnt "lean" to the card. Best casing to date for me is Cooler Master CM690.
-
I would say GTX280. Solid drivers, better OpenGL respond and Autodesk is pro-nVidia. If i am not mistaken they are coming up with a performance drivers for 3Dsmax in the future. ATi is a good choice but the X2 flavor may seem to be too "expensive" to run on as you MAY have to change your PSU, your casing just to fit in the gigantic card. I am not sure about GTX280 on it size but according to some users, they claim that it is slightly smaller than the ATi.

Looks like Microsoft is really late for the browser security party. Most features to be implemented for IE8 is already in Firefox and Opera. Opera so far outshine in security between Firefox and IE. Though, its still too early to tell how solid will these features are, its known that what thrown in IE in every release turns out more flimsy then featured.Bookmark site just to retain the cookies? I bet there is way better alternative to it.

Looks good. In addition, the RvR is all related. Every tier RvR activities will affect the tier 4 in total. You seem to miss out some of the delicious part of the character, like totems which you can decorate it within your character.Anyway, your review overall is very informative about Warhammer Online. Good effort!

LOL Nabb, you are evil :)So far as per player experience, the Pandemonium Warden is the hardest boss in FFXI. It have more than 20 outfit and it transform on every few percent of HP dropped. The second hardest one took a good 5 hours of gameplay just to take it down along with its minions. Also, in the original source, one of the raid member do state that if they didnt stop, most likely the news headline will be "MMORPG Group Dies after 70 hours of battling a boss mob in FFXI but failed"
-
Haha, dont think SquareEnix will make changes on the boss seeing that its a trend for them to have hard to kill mobs since level 1. A few friend of mine were there watching the fight but didnt get to join in since she knew the fight will take very long to accomplish.Overall, this news shock me abit as the players know WHEN to quit the fight

A group of dedicated players tried to bring down a boss in an MMORPG Final Fantasy XI's Pandemonium Warden but failed. Source : http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ This would be an interesting read but its too short. For many years in MMORPG, i would say FFXI really made a genuine record for longest gameplay.

Dominos Delivery Marketing Scam, You Got 30 Minutes
onscreen replied to iibbssee's topic in General Discussion
Theres Dominos over here and yes its bad to push those pizza delivery boy within a certain time frame, that i really agree. Each time i make an order, i would ask them, take your time, no rush here. So for that, i would make the order 20 mins early than the usual time.Even if the pizza is delivered late, i wouldnt ask for the free one, in return i tell the boy that you did the job. I am satisfied. -
VirtualBox. Its a wild application currently as its an open source software with good support on OS. Many claims it have good performance against the commercial ones. https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/24801/virtualbox <-- get it while its hot . I might give this a try as well. Another one which i am not sure if the development is still in progress, CrossOver Mac. Sounds very unfamiliar but i cant comment on its usages and features.

Video Manipulation Manipulation of captured video
onscreen replied to gnitsuk's topic in Science and Technology
Such technology will be used in film making in the future, making video editing much easier compare to current frame-by-frame batch editing. What i like most is object removal. For all the other enhancements like HDR photos, it really amaze me as the system itself is self computing Ambient Occlusions and depths maps.Really looking forward to see how would this research end up in film industry and how much would it cost on end-user side. -
I prefer to play COD 4 on all platforms.Since COD is one of my favorite games and most of my friends have consoles and PC. To blend yourself into your favorite game whenever you go is to well verse in controlling the game no matter it is for console or PC. Getting use on gamepad for FPS isnt hard, its all about practice and trial and error.

This came to my mind recently, When a geek is bored, he is usually bored with his computer related activities, mostly i would say. So, the best solution is this : 14. Select a destination and lets go travel! Gather your loved ones, family members, friends or even colleagues then mark the best holiday for your travel and book the tickets. Holidays can always help a geek to regain his inspiration on his tasks and whatsoever.

What Computer Should I Get? My First Computer I Get To Pick Out
onscreen replied to xlilshortaznx's topic in Software
rvalkass statement is right on the quad core. Since you are a gamer, its bet just to stick on the top-of-the-line core processor. If your budget couldnt fit in an Intel processors, AMD will do the job just fine.As harddisk price is falling, get at least 500GB or 750GB depends on your needs shouldnt hurt you much. Still whats important of all mentioned is your power supply. A good power supply is always needed in order to have your computer running smooth. Get a Power supply with REAL power aka PURE power. That means, a power supply labeled as 500w that means it have the capability to provide 500w output at a steady rate.On the safe side, do consider pre-config computer systems. -
The Night I Stayed Awake. (really awesome)
onscreen replied to i_speel_good's topic in General Discussion
HAHA! Best adventure ever you had, i bet. I did the same thing during my holiday trip but the photos were smeared with my dirty lens filter so i just left the pictures in the backup HDD not bothering to upload it.What watch are you wearing? The interface reminds of an old Casio G-Shock. How is the weather during the wee morning of 5am? Dont mind if i ask question but as i was looking at your pics, i could clearly imagine your point of view on the scenery. Its marvelous actually with that suitable thread title, it makes it even nicer to read -
I have, its a very hot situation here. Some call up, throw in some vulgar words and off the phone. Some were even daring as they threaten you that you owe him/her debts and lots more. Its even annoying if they do it everyday during the wee mornings. Usually i would put my phone to non vibrate silent mode then just let the phone ring, the next morning, no surprise to see i have collected 12 ~ 18 missed calls

Your complain isnt specific. Sony consoles so far have good durability compare to XBOX from my view. So if you broke a PS2, best is to check your wall socket that you plug to for proper earth connection. Air flow is important too, if you stuff the console in a CLOSED TV rack, then chances of it getting roasted is fast. Also, like what others said, you got the PS2 at a dirt cheap price which have false claim on its working condition.

Your review on the phone is too personal.Every phone have its flaws and strength but from what i can read, Motorola indeed suits you than SonyEricsson. The buttons on W910i isnt that hard to press as i have big fingers too and once used to it, you will know how to overcome the issue.Customization, as you said its hard to use its bundled software to create more themes. Well, i use it all the time as i do themes for fun and for friends. Nothing is easy on first start and the customization for Motorola is even harder than any other phone. Though, i can agree on some of your points but overall, this summarized review is too personal for my reading.
