LOL.I didn't even think about April Fools and what it may bring some confusion No it's 100% true. Johnny, over at Xisto, was the first one to receive his 1 year free extension by OpaQue yesterday.OpaQue is working on automated script that can transfer, renew or create new domain using your hosting credits. Once that's established admins will receive instructions on how to approve for this new service by Xisto.

Just as a future reference, ~username is in the format of UNIX. This is how UNIX distinguishes all different users and translates it as the folder when hosting.Xisto is UNIX OS hosting server. Glad that you got it working. This topic is resolved.

Currently this free domain offer is in Beta stage at Xisto. Once I have the confirmation from OpaQue, I will let you know if Xisto members can participate as well. Or, perhaps he meant for all gamma hosting members but made the announcement at Xisto first... ;)In any case, I thought Xisto members should know what's going on at the sister's site with this mind blowing new service. And it won't be long until it reaches Xisto.Thank you.

ComputingHost internet backbone is OC-192 (9.6 gigabits per second). Therefore, you should not be getting what you have tested out. Download meter does not calculate the actual server transfer bandwidth limit but the packet receiving rate from you to the next node. For example, this could be your configuration: your PC--ISP--ISP node1--ISP node2--country node--international node--USA incoming node--state node--Xisto - Web Hosting As you can see, there are so many other factors involved that can contribute to your slow speed. If Xisto - Web Hosting was actually slow, I too would get the similar speed. But for the past 24 hours I have been averaging 700kbps download and 420kbps upload (using 4mb dl and 700kb ul ISP). So the conclusion is that something else must be contributing to your issue. Please state at which local time you have tried and see if anyone in your area is experiencing the similar result. Some firewall programs can contribute to extra slow speed. Test your internet speed at https://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and choose California, CA as your testing ground. And compare to your ISP claimed speed.

Which VMK are you referring to? If it's Virtual Magic Kingdom, why is this topic in Google SEO section? You must elaborate when making your post.

You should be more specific when request for your account help. Where is it exactly located, under which sub-folder?What were you exactly doing when installing this plug-in? Because the folder permission is different from what is showing. For example, it's showing as 755 but it's actually set to 777. How did this happened? Not only that your backup-d4ec9 under the same folder is experiencing the same thing.PS, please close all your connection especially your FTP while I am trying to sort this out.UPDATE:Folder in question was deleted at 12:32PM GMT-5 and resides in your Trash bin. Topic is resolved.

I was just informed that this selling of item is against RuneScape's TOS. This topic is closed and members are advised not to deal with anything which would taint Xisto's good reputation.Thank you.

Found only in West Africa, once plentiful but now reduced to very small area, this strange berry isn't new to the world. But it's been re-introduced to the science community for what it can do in this age of obesity. This berry, also known as Miracle Fruit, tricks the brain by binding to the tongue. Its natural component basically tries very hard to hold on to any and every little bit of sweetness from acidic molecules. And the result is that your brain notices sweet taste from something that should not be sweet. Far fetched, you say? A demonstration was held yesterday by Science Friday segment from National Public Radio (NPR) where three announcers tried various different foods, after coating their tongues with this strange fruit. Three announcers first coated their tongues by bitting into the berry. First to taste was a plain lemon slice. All three shouted, "mmm, it's like lemonade!" Second taste test was with cheese which did not altered the taste. As they concluded, one read out that this Miracle Fruit can make a slice of bologna taste just like a cheese cake--they all laughed. The active ingredient is called, miraculin oddly enough It only turns any sour food to taste sweet. Imagine, instead of drinking lemonade, which is doused with tons of sugar, just having plain lemon will give you the illusion of having a tall glass of cool lemonade. Think of the sugar you don't have to add to your drink. Miracle Fruit isn't a sweet additive but if any sour food that you enjoy can be turned to taste sweet, wouldn't you rather have the same pleasure but cut the sugar? Well, I wasn't sure if you want your cPanel username to be used in the forum posting :lol:It will be 64.69.46.210/~blackrab/forum or gamma.xisto.com/~blackrab/forum Both will work. I would prefer that everyone uses gamma.xisto.com instead of a fixed IP address.

Www Problem! Trap17 Fault! [resolved] thats what they said
BuffaloHelp replied to MusicOnly's topic in Web Hosting Support
Honestly I do not know. My speculations are 1) we had many dropouts from hosting group in past few days--they were either non-interested or made mistakes and decided to terminate. This lead to too many clustered and uncleared data that bottlenecked WHM, which controls your DNS and cPanel. Perhaps in during this time your domain got "lost" in it and pointed to the never, never land. 2) and my best assumption is that OpaQue somehow forcefully contacted your previous nameserver or hacked into whatever is needed to be changed and demanded that everything should be resolved as it should be. Personally, I'd pick the second guess HA HA HA.But I do not know what exactly went on. OpaQue was aware of your situation but couldn't get to it until few days ago. Sorry for the delay. He said he will take care of it, the last time I spoke to him, and now he did. Looks like another mystery solved. Great job, Scooby. Topic closed -
It's because you forgot to state which member to look for "forum" folder :lol:You do not own the whole server IP 64.69.46.210, right? So you should include your cpanel username when using server IP as URL, such that:64.69.46.210/~cpanelUsername/folderI can see your phpBB board just fine The reason cPanel access works without your username is because cPanel can negotiate which user with which permission (directory).

In the case of CO2, the natural state of this element is the form of gas.So by forcing gas (excited state) to "calm down" or give excited energy away (exothermic) this gas condenses to the liquid form. But it requires the constant energy loss (or in lower temperature) to stay as liquid form. The reason CO2 becomes solid is the basic theory of mass verses pressure. When CO2 (whether in gas or liquid) is forced to a confined space it has no where to go but be forced to stick together. This forms much more tighter molecule formation (like over crowding in a tight place) and thus forms denser format--solid. The reason it's called Dry Ice is when CO2 solid melts it leaves no trace of liquid, unlike H20 ice.Oh and by the way, CO2 solid is does not expand since it conforms to the shape of the confined space. The other substances that expand on freezing are H2O, Germanium, Gallium, Bismuth and Silicon. Any liquid that becomes denser than the solid counter part will expand.

Gfx Crew And Other Credit Bonuses I think we should get a bonus
BuffaloHelp replied to BooZker's topic in Web Hosting Support
I agree with all previous answers given--that there should be only one rule when it comes to hosting credits calculation; same for admin as same for hosting members (that includes moderators). This way no one person above all others can abuse the hosting credit system. As for the honorary titles, I started so that very frequent members can help the forum and each other by feeling more of ownership of this forum. After all, if you (yes you) are not here what good is the community forum without its members? Moderators are moderators but GFX Crew and Spam Patrols are titles which what everyone should be doing anyway (again, as mentioned earlier) I don't know about you guys but ever since the creation of GFX Crew, I find more and more people are placing sigs using Xisto gallery and in the forum signature. And that goes the same for Spam Patrol--I haven't seen topic titles like "hey guys, what's this forum all about?" or "hey, how can I host here?"...well except for the shoutbox lol. However, if you feel that these honorary titles are drawing attention away from the important objective--making Xisto the best internet community forum--then please let me know -
Www Problem! Trap17 Fault! [resolved] thats what they said
BuffaloHelp replied to MusicOnly's topic in Web Hosting Support
Is it me or am I the only person who can see with www and without www of your site? Both lead to same site without an issue. Are you still experiencing difficulty with www as your prefix? -
It is possible that the old hosting has manually bound your NS records to their's. Try asking them to release your NS records.OpaQue should be able to advise further with this one.

Www Problem! Trap17 Fault! [resolved] thats what they said
BuffaloHelp replied to MusicOnly's topic in Web Hosting Support
Nice title to implicate how terrible Xisto has been to you.Your DNS records are being reviewed by OpaQue and he will fix why your prefix www is not responding as soon as he can. OpaQue was made aware of your situation at the time of this post.Stay tuned. -
MusicOnly's issue is totally different from delivi's inquiry. MusicOnly's problem will be addressed by OpaQue with your own topic posted. delivi, it is not recommended to redirect your domain to include prefix of www all the time. This is not only bad for search engines but when you add your own subdomain, you will have to always add http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. As you can see it can be messy. Your domain should be always available in two formats: one with prefix www and one without. This is how people and search engines find your domain (unless you don't mind Google dropping your site from its PR and cache because one wasn't available). Xisto (with our without prefix www) shows without redirecting to the other one. Only the forum folder replaces dropped prefix www when entered such: http://forums.xisto.com/ --> http://forums.xisto.com/ This is done through .htaccess redirect command. If for some reason you are seeing prefix www for just the Xisto domain, I believe your browser setting was set to translate with the prefix WWW, and not by Xisto.

Checking the server status (top forum menu, Xisto > Server Status) it's all green down the board.Although hosting accounts are now accessible, please use every caution when uploading within next few hours. Hosting approvals will resume once I have the confirmation from OpaQue.Thank you everyone.
