  1. You can also perform PRINT or ECHO to spit out HTML codes, such that: <?phpprint '<html><head>';include "frame.php";print '<title></title></head><body><!-- Include pure page content here --></body></html>';?> You don't have to do any modification to your code and simply save this page as filen_name.phpNotice the usage of single quote verses double quote.
  2. Topic is resolved. Please PM any moderator to continue this discussion. Until then, this topic is closed.
  3. coolcat50,Nice work around! Although I barely got it to work, certainly it was one of solutions.truefusion,Brilliant! Instead of just HTML I guess I can use PHP to include files. It worked like a charm. And now to rewrite the code
  4. Browsers since IE5 and such alike have released a security patch to prevent IFRAME from opening local file--as truefusion mentioned why it was necessary. I am trying to circumvent this restriction and perhaps only allow 'localhost' to access files outside of 'htdocs.' htdocs is the default folder set by Apache to store and view server files (C:/Program Files/Apache/htdocs). Only files within htdocs, aka localhost, can be accessed using http: //localhost/... This is so that if your computer is servicing web files, you wouldn't want outside browsers to view any of servers root files/folders. So anytime //localhost/folder/file is called it is still within the confines of htdocs folder. Apache configuration allows me to change where 'htdocs' is located but I do not want to set it as C:/ This is dangerous. And since localhost cannot call external files, i.e. outside of C:/Program Files/Apache/htdocs, due to is there a clever way to access restricted files on the server from a local browser?
  5. Is it possible to call a file, i.e. 1.htm, from my web browser using such tag <iframe src="file:///C:/1.htm"> </iframe> file:///C:/1.htm is the correct path since when I enter it to my web browser's address box it shows up properly. But when I use the same call function in my PHP it does not. My situation is that I'm running Apache with PHP, therefore I am running my own mimi-webserver on my computer. There's no risk of someone else accessing my file because it's for my testing purpose. I thought it had to do with some Apache setting but I cannot seem to overcome this obstacle. Any HTML or Apache gurus out there, if you have a solution to call localized file to a browser using any HTML markup I would be appreciated
  6. Carson, Transfer is only if you already have a domain name and would like Xisto - Domains to take care of the rest. So instead of paying $9.99 to your current registrar, where you purchased your domain name, you're now paying $7.99 to Xisto - Domains. However, if you have not purchased a domain name and this is your first time you need not worry about transferring anything :oironchicken,Thanks for your support! Although you do not have any obligation and free to purchase from other registrars, Xisto and Xisto - Web Hosting truly appreciate your decision to support Xisto Corporation.
  7. It's been on my mind if I really dream in color. I remember many times I can change an object's color during my dream. That is, if I think this object in my dream should be red then it turns red. So does that mean I am dreaming in color? What I do recall vividly is that full color dreams are only at the center of the action and the rest of are in black and white--like a tunnel vision or peripheral vision is in black and white. I can't stay dreaming long enough to find out exactly because most of the time I wake up thinking, "this must be dream..." and *poof* I'm awake. Rats!
  8. The value "Unlimited" is still not recognized by cPanel from WHM. This has been reported but cPanel is not releasing the patch.I have manually allowed "99" for most of your settings but only "9" for Parked and Add-on domain. This is the default and maximum allowed numbers. If you need more email accounts or subdomain just PM me--these are unlimited.Thanks.
  9. I have a small tattoo shop that I invest in, and I've heard something called skin bleaching. Skin bleaching isn't new or something dangerous--I was told that Adult Entertainment Industries use this method for something else but for this topic purpose it's to reduce discoloration of scar tissue. And it's certainly not like the method used by our beloved Michael Jackson (sarcasm ). You will always have a scar. It's the matter of how visible it would remain. Skin bleaching might help to make your scar less visible...

  14. I have traveled Europe for 3 months as a back-packer. Backpacking is popular in Europe visited by many foreigners. When I initially had this idea I too had many questions including how much money should I have during my visit. The book titled "Let's Go Europe" was very helpful. And the same publicist released just about every country, every continent you can imagine that is hospitable to visit. This book offers tips and tricks on how to stay cheep, where to visit and staying safe. Hostiles are small bed place where you can stay anywhere from $5 ~ $15 dollars a day. It's not pretty or clean--motel or something other. But a hot shower and comfy bed for $5 ~ $15 dollars a day isn't too bad.If you're going to be traveling in style--staying at a motel/hotel and renting a car--expect to spend about $250 a day just on this expense. And don't forget to calculate meals, tourist tickets, gas and emergency money. I started the trip with $3000 in traveler's cheque--in increments of $20's and visited Money Exchange stations in each city I visited. I also planned ahead to find banks in each city I would be visiting. I was in luck since my local bank is HSBC and I was able to find HSBC all throughout Europe. The advantage was that with my ATM/MasterCard I can withdraw cash in indigenous currency without paying a heavy transfer fee. The benefit of traveler's cheque is that if it's stolen you're not totally lost. You can call your bank and report the cheque number. Double check with the place you want to visit regarding Passport Visa. Many countries would not require special Visa status but it's better to check and travel with your passport. Always leave copies of your passport, ticket itineraries and intended destinations at home. If your passport is stolen or lost your family can get a replacement so that you can come home. Since a copy can act as an emergency proof, it can be faxed to your foreign Consulate while you get your affairs in order. It's also a good idea to avoid hostile countries and report to your Consulate of that country when you arrive. But most of all, travel with some leisure. Planning too much in advance and too perfect can bring stress to what-would-be the vacation of your life time. Allow small surprise visits during your daily routine. Stop by local stores and have their specialties. Talk to locals especially elderlies. Oh and if you are bringing film camera do not develop them while you're on the road. Bring it back home then develop them. And watch for airport x-ray machines. If your ISO is higher than 400 you can ask airport securities to bypass x-ray machine just on your films. If you're bringing digital camera always have a backup planned--extra flash cards, emailing them to yourself by visiting internet cafe, etc.Always watch your surroundings and do not let anything distract you from your belongs. Keep your zippers locked with a small lock so that pickpocketers do not take everything.
  15. Impious DNS issue was resolved by OpaQue. Member is now hosting properly and received activation information.Thank you OpaQue and especially Impious for being so patient.Topic resolved.
  16. Not that I am promoting Xisto - Domains because of OpaQue, but I have to agree--I really like the Domain Privacy without any added cost!I do, however, think the domain controlling panel should be intuitive. It was bit of a work to initially get started. I'm sure OpaQue is under way working on web2.0 style control panel but I hope it gets here soon. Remember that to have DNS control over your domain name either purchase the control option or send a support ticket to Xisto - Domains techs.Switching from Yahoo! domains to Xisto - Domains wasn't easy.
  17. You can edit your own post, if your post is the last one. Please refrain from double posting.Anyway, glad that your situation is resolved. And thanks for posting a solution to your problem. I'm sure it will be helpful for others.
  18. Before I start the manual activation, would you send me all necessary information to activate your hosting account? I would need your forum username, password, your URL, cpanel user and password etc.I still have to see if it's something at your end or something wrong with Manage page's script. Thanks for being so patient. OpaQue has been alerted with this topic to see if there's any possibility with script error.I'll use your information to activate your hosting, on your behalf. When I have the same error and OpaQue gives me the go ahead I will create your hosting manually and let you know the login information. Thanks!
  19. Ah, I see that your NS has been updated to Xisto.Alright, so far so good. Now, use the proper page. The Process page is no longer valid. I want to make sure you use the proper page to activate your hosting account before we involve OpaQue or Xisto techs. Okay? ^_^Thanks.

  22. It is also a good coding method to practice isolation between Global Variable and Local Variable.
  23. It's going to be difficult. Some database related scripts call the full URL, i.e. yourdomain.ext/joomla/page. And since yourdomain.ext is still being resolved you won't be able to see it 100%.If the joomla is installed under a folder called "joomla" then you can at least try by going:gamma.xisto.com/~cpanel_name/joomla where "cpanel_name" is your cpanel username.
  24. It is normal for a person in puberty to expand his or her horizon. This is defined by him or her where to explorer different aspects of life--in general.Teenagers often go through depressing stages. And although it is accepted as normal it is not normal to cut herself. Usually a self inflicted injury is taken as "seeking an attention." And the lack of attention from her family is first to be examined. I am not here to say everyone else is wrong and your sister is just being normal. This is to introduce a deeper look into the family's relationship with your sister. Is your family going through some radical change recently? Are you parents extra busy at work lately? And the next examination is to see if your sister had some changes in her life--such as being dumped by her crush, extra stress from her school work or is she being bullied or abused...?I have one younger sister. She is 33 years old and yet there were times she acted out of control. And it is not no long ago that she and I really had talked about what really bothered her. It was a shock to me that my sister was suffering from low self esteem. You see, my sister is the most strongest person I've ever known. She battled all her life to go after the things she truly love. She is one of the best teachers in NYC Board of Education. Her achievements in her school district even made the headline in The New York Times. Needless to say that she is very accomplished. And yet, after hours of heart to heart talk she admitted that she is totally afraid of failing. She was not confident about herself to show some imperfection in her life. And this stress really bottled within her for all these years. I never knew that. I felt like an idiot. Some big brother I turned out...There's no quick solution, I believe. But the best thing is to heal slowly. Sometimes just listening is the best remedy. And don't give up no matter how many times you get shut down. If you give up on your sister she will expect to be alone for the rest of her life. Get to the root of the problem now. Don't let it build up. But take patience and understanding with your approach. You don't have to agree with her point of view. But all she might need is just an ear so that she can speak her mind.Fighting for her is a good cause. You may be faced with complete humiliation at times. She may sound so harsh that it will break your heart. She may even insult you and step all over you. But don't give up! Let her know that you'll always be there for her. And, if the World is as perfect as I perceive, she will come around.
  25. The official Invision answer (back when I contacted them) is if you have downloaded during free offers from Invision you can use the forum board. You cannot download 1.3 version from Invision anymore and anywhere else would be illegal since Invision does not even provide v1.3 with cPanel package.Furthermore, any addition to secure v1.3 would violate the free licensing usage of Invision since v1.3 did not release secure patches to public to download. So called v1.3Final is not legal download from Invision (because they only released v1.3 for free download). v1.3Final is reverse engineered by several coders and released to general public. So Invision strongly recommens not to run v1.3 because of security issues. And any attempt to add secure patches would violate the free licensing usage. Running v1.3 alone is alright with Xisto hosting. But if Xisto is contacted by Invision regarding your hosting you will be prompted to take down your forum immediately.
