Is the testing site on a Xisto hosting server? Then the answer is NO! Your call for hacking your subdomain not only would inconvenience other Xisto hosting servers (since it will knock-down other related services for other hosting members) but, even at an educational purpose, it is against our hosting AUP.

Private WoW server validity is up to WoW's TOS. Xisto forum simply respects another service's TOS. We are good like that :lol:Anyway, check with WoW TOS to see if your server is within their guidelines. You may post link to your Private WoW server as long as you are not soliciting. You cannot share how to build Private WoW server in our forum, because I believe it's been deemed as against their TOS.

Is it possible that your mind is so concentrated on a particular event that your conscious mind can act according to your subconscious mind?I see 1234 all the time. I see it on my computer. I see it as money ($12.34). I see them as patterns (one stack, two stacks...). I see it as time. I see it more when I think about the next time I would see this hour. I can concentrate what time it would be and sometimes I can come very close to less than a minute or two. Could this be the result of my internal body clock tuned with hours of the day?I am a heavy sleeper. But few years ago I started to concentrate on what time I had to be up the next day. As I practiced this simple act of repeating "I should be up at 6am, I would like to be up at 6am, I have to be up at 6am... I will be up at 6am" before I fell asleep. Sure enough, now a days I rely very little on loud buzzing sound of my alarm clock. So if you are aware of your phenomenon in witnessing your number through out the day, is it possible because you're subconsciously seeking it out? Or are you strange as the movie, "The Number 23?" [thundering sound followed by roaring of pipe organ--dan dan DAN~~~~]

It was so brave of you to share your deep, personal experience with the rest of us. And words like, 'you're not alone on this one...' really do make the difference to others.Although pain and suffering are similar in foundation--that we all feel guilty and connected to misfortunes, that somehow it is my own fault that bad things are happening--the duration and remorse can be quite high voltage to each of us. What I mean is that even though your experience and someone else's experience may be similar with one another, the pain you feel while you're going through this tough times are quite real and the intensity can be overwhelming. And so, what you describe only the 8% of the pain, to you it's 100% pain. But for some it may not even be 1% pain.To cope with tremendous suffering it would be a defensive way to think, "I'm not the only one with this suffering" but it's also important to recognize that you are going through a real pain. Once you recognize the pain you can then decide to dwell or move-on. When you establish an exit plan (to get along with your life) you can decide to live with the pain or exchange with another emotion.

As two of you found out already, OpaQue fixed the issue and three account holders should give it another go at creating Xisto hosting account.By the looks of it, only Inhuman needs to create the hosting account. I will wait for Inhuman's confirmation before closing this topic.Thank you all for your patiences during hosting server's maintenance.

Searching through our forum, I came across few posts mentioning "my site was hacked" while using CuteNews. So before I made this post I wanted to be sure if everyone here knew about CuteNew's serious vulnerability by searching our forum. I am also a victim of recent vandalism by someone from Germany who knew about this exploit. Please read Cutenews <= 1.4.5 usernames fetching exploit FIX and discussion for clear understanding how, why and how-to. If you are using CuteNews as CMS for your site please visit the above URL and countermeasure for your CuteNews script. It looks like this information has been available since January of 2008 but I, like most people, have not maintained a regular visit to CuteNews forum so I failed to prevent my site from becoming the victim of this "hack."

lemonwonder,If you're not using SEARCH within your CuteNews, just delete the file. Otherwise go to CuteNew's support forum and edit the search.php file to countermeasure the security hole.

CuteNews, like any other scripts, are vulnerable when people are developing it from the ground up. That's why people pay to have scripts that are thoroughly tested. But even with paid scripts there's a constant updates and patches to be on the look out. CuteNews have released the security measurement but I failed to check it on time. This forum, IP.Board, has alert notice section when a new or patch is available. Perhaps it's time for CuteNews to implement something similar. The fault might have been on CuteNews for leaving such hacking potential but that fault is also shared by me not checking CuteNews' support forum on a regular basis. And some clever guy just knowing how to manipulate this vulnerability has nothing to do with my position here at Xisto If I were to place a blame, it's Google or other search engines making it easy to search all sites with CuteNews interface without much effort.

Ack!!!This comes too late for me. One of my sites was hacked by someone who boasted himself as a hacker. Deleted all my articles and completely wiped all categories. However, I had my backup made and was able to recover...but still My site was "lost content" from Feb 23 ~ Feb 27. A simple rule of making CuteNews to manage only partially may have saved me from whole lot of trouble. That just goes to show me--not one thing should be the complete content management for a site. I had 1/3 in CuteNews, 1/3 custom script and 1/3 plain HTML.

If those guys are easily swayed by just the looks of a "sexy" girl--even though it's not the real representation of a person--how can you place your trust on them? Would you really want to be with a person who is easily distracted by other girl's looks? I don't think I can even be at peace knowing that if he was alone, he could be chasing after every "sexy" skirts. I might go crazy from this obsession! Wait a minute, you said you were going to call her Pattie or Parttie Bannanie?? Slip of the keyboard, are we??

One of my business' computer was doing the similar thing. Although it wasn't the same pop-up but basically it was trying to promote this anti-virus software--ultimately to make me purchase the program.I ran Spybot Search & Destroy today and it caught 7 registry changes that cause unnecessary pop-ups. Proceeded to clean my system and viola~ no more pop-ups.

But for those who are actually compelled to participate in this scam, and other alike, please be aware that there's no such thing as "easy money" especially via email.Numerous occasions have been reported through respected TV and newspaper journalism reporting people with losses up to tens and hundreds of thousand dollars. While some of us can distinguish scam and real thing, still there are few of those who cannot. A rule of thumb: none of respectable organization(s), such as Microsoft or proxy lawyers, will ever contact something so sensitive or urgent over an email. Email can be intercepted. Email can be delivered to wrong inbox. Email is not a registered first class mail that is protected by a private company--like USPO. Therefore please use your best discretion when dealing with the above situation.
