  1. samlockart,Email used to contact was correct. The proper site is to visit Xisto - Support.com and login with your email/account. Create one if you don't have one. This is the sure way to keep track with all your support issues.Request Xisto - Support to reset your password... if you used weak password for cpanel it looks like it's preventing from a normal login. Also request your IP to be looked at for possible IP ban. And remember, please refrain from accessing your hosting account from your work or school. This is a sure way to ban your hosting from your own location firewall and from Xisto's firewall.Thanks.
  2. Unless you modified CNAME for your domain to Google Apps, your cpanel handles all MX traffic. Which means, if your hosting account is suspended you cannot receive any email.I cannot even see your add-on domain probably due to disconnection from your main hosting account. The only way to resolve this issue is to bring your main hosting account to current (unsuspend) and then re-add your add-on domain.
  3. Have you transferred your SQL from old server to new server? If so, your update should be saved in your new hosting provider.Just test out one item update and see if it sticks.
  4. Could this be the problem? In the old days, manufactures used to brag about CD writing speed. I think Pioneer once promoted that their CD writer can write up to 72X. But someone took that lie and found that only data written closer to center were writing in 72X but as it went closer to the edge the writing speed slowed down extremely. The average writing for a single CD broke down to a mere 12X.I wonder if a similar phenomenon is happening here. When you initially install a fresh OS with minimum programs are installed I'm sure seeking and testing times were quite fast. But as you accumulate files and programs the actuator of a hard drive is now traveling the "longer" diameter. Therefore, causing slower seeking and transferring time...? I once saw the best explanation for this physics problem in Calvin and Hobbs. It had to do with a needle of a record player traveling shorter distance closer to the center ring and the outer ring must travel faster and longer distance to keep-up with the same speed.
  5. Not your fault indeed. But you deserving your hosting credits back is not up to me. OpaQue will be the one who decides if hosting credits lost trying to reset the password would be refunded. In a perfect world that would have been the right thing to do. But since we're not in a perfect world we simply ask Xisto members to stay in touch by staying active in our forum--even as short as just logging in quickly to see what's new. I have a full time government contracted job and managing 4 other businesses but I still manage to log in 10 minutes a day. Do I have to? No I don't have to. But sometimes things need to be done. Are we getting into a pissing contest? Take it under advisement or not. Emotions are running high and feelings are still raw. Instead of pointing to what was the past, we should quickly move forward. So speaking of moving forward are you requesting your password to be reset or you have it under control? I am not going to risk the double jeopardy by resetting. Your post still does not state what you want me to do. I am not a Xisto server technician. I have no control over what gets upgraded and when it gets upgraded. Furthermore, I am not updated with what's going on with Xisto. I have to find out what is going on by logging into Xisto - Support just like the rest of us. That's why I stay active in the forum to collect hosting credits to run a "test" hosting account. So when a problem like this comes about I'll know shortcuts to solve/prevent issues with my best ability. With what's given in limit by OpaQue I try to do my best to support Xisto hosting members. And if this is not enough for some I suggest you ask OpaQue for more. You can talk to Live Support to reset your password if I am not around for a quick support.
  6. Yes. Let's hear some new ideas from new perspectives. Creating new sig tournaments every week is tough. It was originally proposed sig tournament of the month or so.And perhaps expanding from just sig to something bigger might be a good start? And once again, let's not be consumed by hosting credits giveaways. Do compete for the competition sake. The forum is yours...
  7. We are facing with some remote connection issue from outside of server request. This is important because it's how your hosting is activated within our system.Until I hear from OpaQue that the forum server is acting properly I will approve pending requests. Thanks all for your "patience." There I go using the word but this time it's not to order but to request.I will check back soon to see if I hear anything back from OpaQue.
  8. I thought this topic was to explain why it happened and how to fix it. If not to your satisfaction contact OpaQue for detailed explanation. Staying in touch with our forum could have prevented unnecessary usage to your hosting credits. Although this incident is not entirely at member's fault there's no official word from OpaQue regarding reimbursing hosting credits for password reset. So is this your official request for password reset or you were able to access your cpanel? I do not want to lock you out of your cpanel again by resetting your password.
  9. Topic is resolved. Please PM any moderator to continue this discussion. Until then, this topic is closed.
  10. Now don't quote me on this one. I used to support one of the largest computer stores in United States. They, the corporation with blue and yellow (ahem), told me there are specific calculation before they perform a warranty work. Now this applies to LCD televisions but you should call your manufacturer to double check.LCD pixel warranty applies when: total of 15% dead (dead, defined by the manufacturer) pixels from total pixels. And these dead pixels are concentrated in the main viewing area concentrating about 5% radius from the center. Or something like that. Now mind you, 15% may sound good but imagine how many pixels are there on a 22 inch screen with max resolution of 1900x2400 (or what have you). 15% of that total pixel is a very big number. And to top that majority of dead pixels should be clustered around the center of viewing... what are the odds of that??This means one dead pixel will not be "under the warranty to exchange or fix" by the manufacturer's policy. If it's within 30 days majority of stores should have exchange policy where you can take advantage of that. Again, call your manufacturer and find out what you are entitled, clearly.
  11. I can see your default Xisto index page. If you cannot see this, try viewing your domain through a proxy service. If you can see your page your true IP might be listed under ban list. Contact Xisto - Support, give your true IP and request to be unlisted from the ban IP list. If you can see your default index page, simply go to your file manage or FTP and remove the default index page.
  12. Any issue with your database connection, first check to see if your database is associated with a username. It appears that during account restoration database was restored but associated username was not.Simply recreate username and its password, give proper privilege and off you go . Usually, your settings, config or whatever that stores your database connection information can help you remember the old username and password.
  13. I have so far replied to all those who requested for password reset. I am currently working closely with Misanthrope and etycto with special circumstances.UPDATEMisanthrope's account issues have been fully resolved.
  14. Aside from Misanthrope, if you have requested on this topic to reset your password AND requested to Xisto - Support I apologize for resetting your password, again. I was in a rush to resetting passwords that I didn't have the time to read it through before I acted. I tried to PM a new message but Misanthrope's inbox was full I hope she sees this before thinking something went wrong again.I will ask OpaQue regarding other subdomains which have been created in recent application approval. And this is one of the reasons why I have not approved further pending hosting requests.serverph made a great post (please go back to see his post) regarding how to add and park your TLD again. But here is a quick note:If you are parking, just click on PARK DOMAIN and follow the on-screen instruction. If you are not using its username and password for any other purpose (such as granting control to another user or separate FTP login session) then you do not need to worry about giving it the same username and password as before. If you are adding, just click on ADD-ON DOMAIN and follow the on-screen instruction. If you are not using its username and password for any other purpose (the same reason as above) again, you do not need to worry. Remember to use the same folder, i.e. public_html/folder_name, as the one you used before. Use the FTP or File Manager to remind yourself which folder is associated with which add-on domain.Check to see if your database, such as WordPress, IPB, CopperMind anything that might be using database connection, is connecting properly and reassign user permission and password if necessary. If you have to give new username and password, please update your database config file/setting with these new information. Finally, yes Xisto - Support will assist you in resetting your cpanel password for the time being. If you cannot wait for me please use the Xisto - Support (either live or ticket). If your account is suspended Xisto - Support is not allowed to resurrect your account to reset your password. I will not reset your cpanel password unless I see in the log that your account was suspended due to repeated password reset via Manage page. You can always contact me through PM to see what can be done.Thank you all.I'll try to be here tonight around 11pm (GMT -5) for further support.PS, if you cannot even see your home page a good possible answer might be that your IP has been blocked by Xisto servers. A test would be use a proxy service to see your website. If you can see then the answer is IP block. Contact Xisto - Support and ask if your true IP is blocked by Xisto firewall. Request for unban on your IP. To find your true IP search for "what's my IP address" on any search engine and you'll find out.PPS, never login to your cpanel using a proxy service. They are known to harvest any HTTP request information such as your password.
  15. I'm not sure if it's your credit system or just need to re-establish your addon/park domain again. This problem started since the restoring of hosting accounts in Xisto. Refer to http://forums.xisto.com/topic/59072-official-cant-access-my-cpanel-supports-from-admins/ and see if my suggestions help.
  16. Addon and Parked domains have to be re-associated with Xisto hosting account if you used any of these features. Aside from totally recreating an account, if your hosting still has public_html/folder where "folder" used to be your add-on domain you do not need to fear. If parked domain fails to load just re-Park your domain to Xisto hosting account. This answer comes too late but I had to do some extensive research and tinkering around to find out for myself as well. Check this topic http://forums.xisto.com/topic/59072-official-cant-access-my-cpanel-supports-from-admins/ And in order to do any of suggested actions you first need to access your cpanel. Please follow cpanel password reset request found in that topic. Thanks.
  17. Ah, I have made a recent reply regarding what's going on at http://forums.xisto.com/topic/59072-official-cant-access-my-cpanel-supports-from-admins/ Please continue discussion there. Or you can PM me for further details. Thanks.
  18. If any cpanel login problem started on or after June 20th, 2008, please refer to this topic http://forums.xisto.com/topic/59072-official-cant-access-my-cpanel-supports-from-admins/ Otherwise, this particular issue has been resolved. Thank you.
  19. First of all, I don't see how non-hosted member can start a topic about hosting with Xisto. Second, kindly refer to this post and continue cpanel issue discussion. http://forums.xisto.com/topic/59072-official-cant-access-my-cpanel-supports-from-admins/ Thanks. Closed.
  20. Please read and follow direction on this post http://forums.xisto.com/topic/59072-official-cant-access-my-cpanel-supports-from-admins/ Thanks. Closed.
  21. Let's make this the main topic regarding cpanel support. It is now clear to me that all hosted members are affected by whatever recent updated that was performed. And I'm not talking about DC migration. This cpanel access issue started on or around June 20th, 2008 (well after successful DC migration). Here are key causes so far:1) cpanel password does not work2) naturally, due to cpanel password your FTP does not work3) all your add-on domains fail to load4) all your parked domains fail to loadI will fix #1 and #2 using WHM. So do not use Manage page to reset your password. I was hoping hosted members would keep an eye on this topic. It's going to be a lot of work on my part but at least I can do for you guys. You guys have been very patient so far.#3 and #4 need to be fixed once you access your cpanel and re-addon or park. Just add your domain and give the same folder name as before, i.e. public_html/add-on_folderPost as reply to this topic saying, "please reset my password" and I can see your forum username, cpanel name and will PM you as soon as I can. And please consider that I am not here all the time but will get to your request as soon as I can.Thanks.
  22. Let's holdup on changing passwords. I would like to talk to OpaQue regarding this matter before I announce any resolution.Thanks.
  23. Python is gaining its popularity and Ruby was recently added to Xisto hosting. I will run by with OpaQue and see if he agrees with posts made here. ;)Thanks and keep those suggestions coming!
  24. Glype Proxy will not be allowed to remain in your hosting if you're using Xisto Free Web Hosting.Continuing to operate Glype Proxy or any other proxy service/server on Xisto Free Web Hosting will result in immediate termination and possible permanent ban.Thank you.
