Sig Of The Week #12 ~ Voting
BuffaloHelp replied to truefusion's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
WHOA!!! May be it's been a while I reviewed sigs but... is it me or did you guys just got 5000% better?? It's is true that Truefusion probably has the eye-catching sig with good proportion. But I think it's because the color choice is mainly blue hue among the amber hues. So it stands out. However, my vote goes to St. Michael for getting that render as thought it's on fire! Man I don't know what that is but it looks like a monster hand holding the torch. Nicely done.Nguyen: 0Saint_Michael: 1Reaver: 0Truefusion: 1Avalon: 0 -

Account Access Issues I cannot access FTP and cPanel
BuffaloHelp replied to Goosestaf's topic in Web Hosting Support
It is determined that there's a good chance the school's firewall may be blocking IP access to 69.50.188.18. More will be revealed once Goosestaf talks to the school I.T. department. -
Go to the processing page and you can do that--it's a self service now. It will cost you 10 credits.Thank you.

Account Access Issues I cannot access FTP and cPanel
BuffaloHelp replied to Goosestaf's topic in Web Hosting Support
As of now I can see your site "Heartless Creation" with brick wall as a background. This is stated that I can see your site. It's strange that you cannot access your site from both home and school. Would you know another person that can try to see your site? Can you connect to FTP? Can you connect to cPanel http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ ? Can you click on this link and see your site http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ ? -
Free Hosting Doubt subdomain or domain?
BuffaloHelp replied to sanbeand's topic in Web Hosting Support
TRAP17.com and Xisto.net will always provide you with free subdomain, i.e. yourName.trap17.com or yourName.trap17.netOffering free domain name, a.k.a. TLD (top level domain), is too costly and face it no one will ever offer it for free without strings attached :PHowever, Yahoo is currently offering domain names at $2.99 per year. You might want to give that a shot. -
I Still Can't Login Unbeliveable
BuffaloHelp replied to Unregistered 015's topic in Web Hosting Support
I have asked everyone to stop making topics that blames Xisto's service. ciroxyz PM me your password and see if someone else can access your cPanel. This will determine if it's indeed Xisto's server or your ISP/computer issue.Thank you. -
ciroxyz, http://forums.xisto.com/cpanel is for the server of Xisto (if there was one) For your site it should have been either http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ or http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Before jumping into a conclusion please explore the every possible avenue.

Account Access Issues I cannot access FTP and cPanel
BuffaloHelp replied to Goosestaf's topic in Web Hosting Support
Stop making topic title as though there's something wrong with Xisto's service! Your site (Heartless Creation) is loading just fine and I can access my cPanel as well (since I don't have your password I can't say the same for your end). Before you make a conclusion hold tight for a while and see if the problem persists. Editing topic title. -
I would like to add to the discussion that your warning level will not affect your hosting privilege or service quality. It will, however, affect you when you are applying for hosting or requesting for upgrade. Discussion is closed. PM administrators or moderators for further clarification. _________________________

Okay, that's enough!Listing your software you have is not part of contribution to this forum and unfair getting hosting credits out of it for something you should all be quoting. From now on, no more topics such as this. Thread is closed.

I am about to reveal something that's very secret only elite video masters are still using it today. And it's absolutely free. For those who know about it already do not need to post to show-off that you already knew tmpgenc So far as I can tell, as long as you can play back your file, with correct fourCC dencoders installed, this little program will convert to mpeg at any frame rate and frame size. Remember to select "STREAM" type as SYSTEM (audio+video) otherwise you will end up with audio and video files separated.

Creating Custom Error Pages For My Domain
BuffaloHelp replied to Jesse's topic in Web Hosting Support
As far as I know, you have to add a new line in. So go down to your file and leave a space before you add the line. The reason it's not there is because when there's an error, your browser knows it as certain error code, i.e. 404, 403 etc, and calls the default error page from your local SYSTEM32 or SYSTEM folder. But by customizing .htaccess file you are redirecting which error file to display. -
New York City has been, in my view, the fastest adapting city when it comes to serving the mass transit system with environment friendly method. I remember about 15 years ago that NYC was the first city to employ methane fueled bus even before California or Florida considered such action. And I have to say that NYC has the best metro transportation system that beats Irvine, San Francisco and Miami all combined.I am pleased to see that NYC is once again leading the trend on Earth-friendly transportation methods.

Account Problem CPanel and FTP dont work :(
BuffaloHelp replied to bureX's topic in Web Hosting Support
Before blaming Xisto have you stopped to think that it may be something else? Before you jump to the conclusion consider this:How many times during your hosting that you came across this kind of behavior? If you have, has it resolved in few hours? Could it be due to your ISP recycling their cache that your connection just can't be established to cPanel or FTP during that time? This is alarming that members are quick to blame Xisto before sorting out every possible scenario. If all hosting members can access cPanel or FTP but it's only you...there must be some other explanation to your problem...right?Please, stop making this kind of post before you explored every possible avenue. -
Creating Custom Error Pages For My Domain
BuffaloHelp replied to Jesse's topic in Web Hosting Support
Hummm I'm not sure if that's possible. Since there is only one .htaccess file for the host (and not domain determined), both domains will use the same .htaccess file no matter what. That is something to search for on the internet. -
I believe we have new competitor for signature of the week contest! Look out past winners! :PI would give 9.5/10I like your play on light and shadow.

Creating Custom Error Pages For My Domain
BuffaloHelp replied to Jesse's topic in Web Hosting Support
To recap, you make a error page called 404.htmlyou upload it to public_html directory you open .htaccess file and EDIT in this line-ErrorDocument 404 404.html (if you upload 404.html in another directory it will be ErrorDocument 404 /directory/404.html)I wanted to make it clear since I was bit confused with your first sentence. If I am mistaken there will be someone correcting my error(s). -
Creating Custom Error Pages For My Domain

First read through this http://forums.xisto.com/topic/25073-new-warning-system/ and then this http://forums.xisto.com/topic/27872-warning-level/ To sum up your answer, only YOU can see the warning level followed by moderators and administrators. No other members can see your warning level. It is designed to give you a visual nudge to keep you on track with the board's rules. Once you reach 100% you are automatically out of the board member and your hosting terminated. Sometimes your IP will be banned altogether. Each warning issued by moderators or administrators will increase by 10%. While there isn't a set rule when to decrease member's warning level the usual time is between 15~30 days. Do not ask moderators and administrators to review your warning level. We might be inclined not to review in spite of that. When you are being the best member you can be we all notice. And that acknowledgement will expedite lowering of your warning level.

From time to time I too am a dial-up user when I travel. So I understand your frustration when it comes to loading pages and later finding out that it wasn't worth the wait--if you will.Although the board cannot control the size of individual sig, I can offer you this little tip to help you expedite the forum loading as well as viewing graphics. In your browser you can choose to display graphics automatically upon loading or turn it off and manually pick and choose which graphics to be load with your mouse, right click, etc. That will help you to speed things up and when you are interested to see other member's sig's you can right click and select "show picture."

Thank you for your suggestion. If you know the history of this forum (which you may have to search for ) you'll find out that this forum was created to gamers and game related in the beginning. So staying true to the spirit of the creator this forum cannot cater to every interest of all our members. As times goes on it would be foolish not to adapt to the needs of our members, however, but the current structure serves this forum quite well in fact. We'll keep your suggestions under our hat. And don't forget to use BB codes for things that are not contributing since it could be viewed as cheating the hosting credits. Editing your post.

Unable To View My Site issue with my hosting
BuffaloHelp replied to exhale's topic in Websites and Web Designing
You can (and all of you) see your site by typing the host IP address followed by (slash) and (tilde) (cpanel name) So for exhale's case http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ This is the last resort checking to see if your website is hosted properly with Xisto. If this fails there's something wrong with your account and must be terminated and reactivated. exhale, give few more hours to see if your URL name would be resolved. We'll talk more afterwards if it does not.
