  1. There were several attempts in the past and they were all dealt with extreme prejudice. This time the login name was changed and the member was placed under the banned list. Additional attempt from the same IP will result in IP ban and the ISP will be notified You may think notifying ISP does nothing...oh I assure you it does wonders in interrupting that particular IP user for at least 72 hours OpaQue, we can't ban you... you're like protected with super shield. I had to rename the hoax member and then banned.
  2. Well, not to be on the confronting side but when the board does not enforce strict rules there will be members who will not follow them. When members are starting to disobey rules you'll have one untidy forum. When a forum is disorganized the lack of proper service will lead to termination of free web hosting (the benefit of being active in this forum). So which one would one choose, follow rules and everybody benefits free hosting or loosen the rules and perhaps this forum shutting down in a year or two later?Don't look at it as drama or being too strict when a newbie joins this forum, but look as it as firm guiding hand so that a newbie does not derail in the future. Besides, how many times can we stress "READ PINNED TOPICS" or "READ THE GUIDE"? Would one drive a car without learning the basics first? It's a rhetorical question that only oneself can answer.
  3. I am pretty sure this page has been discussed in our forum. Until I find or someone finds it this thread shall remain open. It is important that you SEARCH the forum before making a new topic.
  4. Hello intermission,Welcome to our forum! This forum probably the best place to share your ideas, views and frustrations freely. All we ask is that you observe this board's rules which are found by following the link in my signature called, Xisto README.Addition to being the greatest board community, Xisto offers free web hosting without any forced ads as the byproduct of being active in this forum. So whether you're here to discuss and debate about the world issues, issues around your neighbor or to enjoy our free web hosting service, I am glad to have you aboard. Our members are friendly and they are eager to help. So don't be hesitant to reach out.
  5. This concludes 2005 Thanksgiving messages.
  6. OpaQue has been notified because there might be a possible issue when a server shift occurred. Hang tight.
  7. Are you using old IP address to access your cPanel? Your cPanel address should be yourSite/cPanel and your normal cPanel user name and password.
  8. Topic closed. Please continue this discussion at the link provided above (post #2).Thank you.
  9. It could have been posted under the tutorial section if it provided with great details. Check out further detailed introduction to hosting a radio station under the tutorial section. http://forums.xisto.com/topic/30394-run-your-own-mail-radio-server-shoutcast-and-more/ Jack, I'm not stating that your information is any less. Nice work by the way!
  10. I hope that's an error on you typing nameserver's IP address. Both of IP should be 64.69.35.170 and 177. However, if your service autoconverted to IP addresses there's nothing you or Xisto can do. Make sure that the first nameserver's IP is 64.69.35.170.
  11. Use the search feature for our forum and use the keyword "formmail" Since you are not hosting with Xisto, my tutorial on CGI formmail will not help. However, there are free frommail scripts that will meet your needs (it has self generating form, where to send, what to send etc). Snlildude87 has also written php formmail in our Tutorial section.
  12. If you are going to quote me or use my words as an example, please do it right so that incorrect information does not circulate. Refer to this thread http://forums.xisto.com/topic/29032-credit-system-how-does-it-work/ and see that I have never said 0.5 credits per word. I used 0.05 credits per word Thank you.
  13. If no one is reading the announcement (titled Server Shift Complete) on the very first topic of each key forum sections, should I even bother in the future? The new IP for your hosting is 64.69.46.210 and you were trying to access your account using the old IP or during the server migration. Topic resolved. Thread closed. PM mod/admin if you need this topic to be reopened.
  14. You are using the incorrect IP address. Since the server migration (which was posted in the ALERTS AND NOTICES section) our new IP address is 64.69.46.210It is always the best idea to use http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ to access your cPanel, however, this will be the only server migration since we are now on a dedicated server.Topic closed.
  15. Wait few hours or a day before attempting it again. It's likely that the server migration has frozen account upgrade/activation.
  16. Do you still have the RvBlue theme (found as my cPanel demo) or it is the classic old theme where a woman with a computer is shown at the top banner?
  17. Did you look to the left of the screen? Follow Preinstalled Scripts > Addon Scripts > and look at the left side under "Preinstalled Scripts" you'll find CGI Center Addon Scripts Fantastico <--- it's here Agora Shopping Cart etc... That is if you have the RvBlue cPanel theme. If you still can't find it. Go to Addon Scripts and do Ctrl-F to find and type in Fantastico.
  18. Both plans (plan #1 and plan #2) are identical in service offer and performance except the only differenece is the web hosting space and monthly bandwidth limit. Please visit http://forums.xisto.com/ for further details.
  19. Perhaps, then, you should be careful how you phrase your questions/complaints. When you place, I'm considering shifting to another host, and, I'm paying for both services, only indicates that 'where is the service I deserve after all I paid you guys.' This is the quote from OpaQue Ping your site and see if above IP shows up. If so, it will take about 24-72 hours before the new server propagates through out the world. Until then your files and data may be updated and up to date BUT it will not reflect on the web browser. I believe the server cache is still holding your site visible. Without this bridge ALL accounts would've been "can't display the page" for about three days. OpaQue made sure that the website service was not interrupted. Until the server cache or new server is propagated, any update will not reflect immediately. By the way, your counter went from 18025 to 18077 from my first reply to this reply. Are you sure it's not working? Or is the counter off by certain number?
  20. Sounds like an idle threat... isn't Xisto related issue but you bring it up? But it was once, correct? Xisto service is free but how do you mean you are paying for "both" services? And how exactly your count isn't working? Is it not incrementing? Is it counting twice because it's working alright from the looks of it (when I visited your site). If you are going to complain, do it with detailed information why it's not working. Xisto's owner tries hard to bring you unmatched service for free, and in the process there may be some glitches. Please be patient and let the issues resolve without view point like yours. Thank you.
  21. Judging by your member group you've activated your account successfully. Topic closed.
  22. Do not access (log in) to your forum account for 30 days and it will automatically delete your whole account.Thank you.
  23. You MUST quote words that are not your own, conret.Any way, the problem isn't with you or anyone except we are in the middle of servier migration and looks like my timing and your activation is caught in the middle. To bring better service to everyone, this forum and many other hosting services are moving to one huge dedicated server. Please wait few hours or maybe a day and try again.Thank you.
