  1. I remember using the older versions and I must say, the new default look is very nice looking indeed, infact i'd use it as is myself. When do they plan to release the full version?
  2. Iv'e always wanted to play the guitar, but because of the fact that I can never get a left handed one (and have to play upside down) and I just play the strings until it sounds right , I could never really learn much.Is there any good resource that show fingering position and what not for some easy tunes/songs?I'd prefer not to have to learn all that music sheet crap lol.
  3. I have a Celeron D 2.4, overclocked at 3ghz.768mb of DDR ram (PC3200).nVidia 256mb GF5500 (memory and core clock overclocked).Windows XP Home SP1.ADSL 1.5mb/256kb (soon to be ADSL2+).Opera still renders noticeably slower than FireFox and generally functions slower.Pity it doesn't have any themes I don't like either , then again I haven't found any for FireFox that really hit the hammer on the nail either.
  4. I downloaded Opera the other day after hearing all these great things about it...... well just looking at it and seeing how slow it renders pages and just using the program.... I'm not very impressed .
  5. Oh I dunno how easily broken or anything either of them are, but High Definition is useless without an expensive TV that supports it..... as far as I know atleast.Blu-Ray is just a bigger DVD .
  6. I dunno, I like the sound of Blu-Ray, basically it has more capacity (alot more if I remember correctly) so you can fit more on it (which can be quite important and also means things won't need to be compressed if necessary and lose quality). As far as I know, that high definition junk isn't any use unless you have a tv that supports it and man they are expensive junk, to make it look a little nicer meh >_<.
  7. It's a good thing we have people like that though (so don't bash them LOL), because they pay the huge prices and keep it floating until they drop it for the rest of us, mwuhahahaha .
  8. And I wouldn't blame them, I would really like to know what on earth is wrong with Windows XP that can't be fixed? (does anything really need fixing besides some upgraded drivers and things sheesh....).Fair enough that new drivers and technologies will come out but not long after Vista more will belt through and we probably won't see another OS for quite some time.....
  9. Hold on a second, besides planets (and/or stars) etc and all that, in just space itself, is there any usefull kind of energy or matter? If the universe was limitless........
  10. I only like Fable on the xBox, nothing else tickled my fance , haven't seen anything different for the xBox 360 and it still has a hefty price tag, I think it'll be the Wii for me if anything.
  11. I guess that depends on how far the end is lol, I doubt it'll be anything like what happens in a video game *bang, darn invisible wall* .
  12. Sounds like I'll need quite the upgrade to run it decently lol, that will be some time.....
  13. But even if we mention the possibility of a god or some form creating the universe and everything, your still left with "who the hell created this god or form or w/e"...... so using that would be quite infinite. But, how do they mean that our universe is expanding, who says it's not already huge beyond what we know and things are just floating out further, that's not really expanding now is it?I had more to say but I forgot, it's getting late here lol.Hope the discussion on this keeps up, I find it very interesting although I have no technical knowledge of the subject.
  14. I don't exactly know much about what this will mean but it sounds like a good idea.At a first glance I thought it meant they were going to take a look and try and improve the internet in general (hardware as we do, software and maybe even the standard protocols we use), but perhaps not, I'm actually a little bit confused lol.
  15. The PS3 seems more or less an upgrade from the PS2, rather than a whole new system ,it basically means alot more power so developers can throw alot more crap at it and it won't bust or lag.The more recent PS2's out seem to lag/stumble or take forever to load some more recent games which means it's definitely time for an upgrade .
  16. My misses has wanted a K750i for awhile now, she thinks it's the best thing ever lol, so I guess it must be pretty good, the specs looked allright too.But there's so many darn mobile phones out there, who the hell knows what is the best lol, I just plain avoid them where I can, I haven't owned one in years.
  17. Why did he recieve a notice, any information in that text should be immeditaly obvious and if not, it doesn't really give anything away at all *shrugs*.And the links look like they go to a proper Microsoft website eh, didn't even know they actually let just anyone download it at any stage, or did I read wrong?
  18. LOL cricket eh? I'm not much into cricket or football and what not but oh well, go the aussie cricket team I suppose .I know a few local online stores but none have that thermal paste/goo stuff .
  19. Yeah my room is very dusty, we don't have pets and things but the dust just never seems to end.I cleaned it out aswell as possible only yesterday (to see if this would aid the CPU TEMP readings my mobo was giving me but it didn't seem to).But I snapped a piece from the plastic holder that holds the fan and heatsink off so the whole piece doesn't quite fit on 100% evenely (but shouldn't be a problem). And everytime I have to take the darn heatsink off I swear the stupid thing cuts me lol.I think however it could do with some thermal paste/goo it's looking pretty thin atm but I have absolutely no idea where to get the stuff and how much it costs, I'm in Sydney (AU) so if anyone knows where to get any around here and how much it costs i'd appreciate it (might aswell give that a try if I can).I didn't think heating would be a problem seen as I have 4 case fans, video card has a fan, cpu has a fan, power supply has a fan and I have a house fan that runs on the outside at either Setting 2 or 3 pretty much 24/7 depending on the weather.
  20. I usually keep my drive with plenty of space unless needed and I defrag quite often. Not so long ago however I was recieving BSOD's when defragging or trying to rar something big but since I cleaned out the dust bunnies it's been fine, which is another thing that has led me to believe an over heating problem.
  21. Windows XP Home SP1Celeron D 320 2.4ghz768mb combined Kingston ram (512mb and 256mb module(s)).GF5500 with 256mb ram (fairly new)Onboard Audio (SoundMax).Asus P4P800 (around about, I can't remember the id exactly).and 80gb Western Digital drive (fairly new). The motherboard reports the mobo temp as around 25-30 but cpu at 70-80 last time I checked (earlier today). No spyware, no viruses, only applications installed that I need, file paging is setup for as optimal as it gets.I think I might just overclock the processor and see how long it will run .
  22. Oh it's not just the graphics, the computer as a whole is noticably slower, but alot of graphics is affected by CPU, if cpu is slow the graphics can't possibly be updated and displayed quick enough.I had 36 ping on MOHAA, but the screen was so laggy I couldn't keep up with movement .If my CPU overheats too much it might underclock itself so it won't go too far and burn out, so that could be what's holding me back but I have no idea why the temp has jumped dramatically all of a sudden.
  23. Not sure why the ram would be a problem, the usage has been consistent for over a year (so I know exactly what is running) and I do sometimes scan for spyware and viruses but I never have anything, just the occasional cookie. The graphics card is a GF5500 with 256mb memory, it's not a powerhouse but it had no problems running my games on high graphics without fail or even a single noticable jerk and now all of a sudden they jerk like crap on half the quality settings.Even from a re-boot when the ram should be cleared it's still the same and my cpu temp has me worried, it would explain the major slow down.
  24. For the past month or so my computer seems to be much slower than usual, even when running through tabs on FireFox or when MSN notifications come through they seem a tad laggy.Playing Gunz the graphics seemed a bit bung (as in lagging behind), I mostly thought bleh nothing serious. The other day I went out and cleaned all the dust bunnies out of my comp, fans, cpu fan and heatsink, mobo, nooks and crannies etc to find that my motherboard is reporting my cpu as being 70-80 degress celcius just in the BIOS :| (motherboard temp is around 25-30 which is normal). And today I went to play MOHAA (which I used to play with absolute full quality settings without any screen/game or net lag what so ever) and today I had to put the settings all down to half quality and it still lags incredibly......Does anyone know what on earth could cause this? There hasn't been any hardware changes or major software ones so other than some kind of damage or weird settings crippling my system I have absolutely no idea what the hell is going on .
  25. It's been many months since I have really done anything in Delphi and even longer since I have use UnDelphiX.I'm wondering if anyone knows of any recent updates to it (I'll be heading for some googling soon) or if anyone plans to have a go at improving it?I'd also like to know if anyone else here uses it themselves and if they can give any advice or possibly build up a list of learning resources for applying the use of Delphi and UnDelphiX together to get started with games, basic, advanced, what ever.Iv'e begun some simple shooters and very basic RPG's before (although I gave up when it came to enemy AI lmao, the enemy would get stuck to my guy and push him around ).I haven't heard of much happening lately with games being built in Delphi with UnDelphiX and a friend of mine who used to help improve UnDelphiX himself has been absent playing World Of Warcraft .P.S. I use Delphi 7.
