  1. I used this on a small presentation of mine, really neat function. You can see it at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/, the right vertical menu. Take a look at the source code and you'll see how it is used.
  2. Well, you can't make a game just like that. If you wanted to do it alone, even if you knew, something, you would have major problems. Game making has so many aspects that you would need years to cover them all. So let's say you find a team that would help you, and that everyone in that team (except you) knows how to cover one of the nexcessary aspects. Then YOU would need to learn a lot and prepare yourself. Making a 2D game can be rather easy, but for a 3D one you would have to spend years learning the skill. So, I advise you to delay this project and start with something simple, and learn step by step.
  3. Well, if you don't, then you've missed the whole point. Those games are not the ones you install from a CD, they are browser-based games. It is all made in php and mysql. You should try one of those, they are very addicting. As for you, yakobob, I think you don't have to bother. As you said yourself, there are plenty of games like that and people are quite fond of it. It really isn't necessary to make more of those. Of course, if you have spare time and don't mind spending a lot of money with only some chance of getting it back, sure, why not give it a go
  4. What is the other box on the first picture? As for the second one, you can choose any remote control and it will look like the Nintendo one. You really can't make anything special when making a remote control.
  5. Why would you upload it seperately? Can't you embed the mp3/wma file into the flash animation?
  6. Chicken Invaders :oIt's not completely free, but what you get when you download it is enough to keep you busy for hours! Very simple, yet again very addicting. If you haven't tried it yet, do so!
  7. Wow, that is really cheap. If you think of it, in about 7 or 8 years time we will have these hard dise for maybe 100-200$. Now it looks so awesome, but useless. Nobody really needs something that big, at least not for personal use. On the other hand, who knows what kind of systems and files we will have in the future!
  8. I've recently registered and starting making some noobish stuff. It's really great how people encourage you to keep on working and improving your abilities. You can see my works at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  9. It's nice, but probably very expensive, and there is no use of this gadget. I mean, sure, it's a clock, but do you really need this. It's OK if you have a lot of money, but if you don't, it's a waste of cash.
  10. Yep, they are really good. I've got a domain myself over there. First I though of buying a domain at Yahoo Small Business, but it was to cheap (suspicious) so I decided to use GoDaddy. I've noticed taht about 50% of people who own domains have it registered at GoDaddy. When I decided to buy a domain I though there would be some problems (I was using Master credit card) and that it would be slow, but no. Right after I bought it, my chosen domain name was available for use. Really professional
  11. Nah, I've managed changing it manually, but the problems remained.. Nevermind, now I'm collecting credits to apply again
  12. This is just a wild guess, but maybe if you are using a non-default skin it doesn't support signatures

  14. That might be the best solution. For example you make a presentation about you and you work at http://www.domain.com/, I think 1 GB would be enough . And then you use this web space to provide you customers with hosting. Now, here's that catch. Let's say someone buys your services, you make a web site and put it at subdomain.domain.com, and limit the space on that subdomain. After that you can buy a top level domain (http://www.subdomain.com/) and put it as an AddOn domain for the subdomain.domain.com. That way you use your space, and the customer is satisfied because they have their own domain. Of course, you would ear a lot that way, because you can charge everything!
  15. OK, so we all have different opinions Well, I'm going o advise you to buy Guild Wars. Why is it good? Here's why.First of all, it is somewhat free. You have to buy the game (not sure about the price, maybe $35 or so), but after that it is all free. And now there is an expansion pack coming, so there will be more to play with.Next, the world is huge. And when I say huge, I mean huge! You can play it for three of four months and still have something to explore in the end. Also, the game takes quite long to complete (I'm talking about primary missions). Furthermore, if you join a Guild, or better to say WHEN you join a Guild, since everybody does, there will be Guild Battles, where the power of Guilds collides :PSome say WoW is a bit better than GW, but you have to pay for it every month. That's why I prefer Guild Wars. I've been playing it since September and still haven't uninstalled it - it is so addictive!
  16. That would really be a huge project. Imagina how long it would tako to build a single dome for let's say 100 people! Even if it is possible (now or in a few decades) we would have trouble bringing the material. The space ships would have to go to Mars every day and bring expensive materials. Furthermore, the flight would also be very expensive. Not to mention how many people they would need. And it's dangerous, too.I think will have to wait for this until we construct some sort of a robot that we will be able to control from Earth, while he (or she) is doing all the work on Mars. But I think Earth will live long enough for me to live happily and die in the end
  17. I am sorry to say this, but I will have to terminate my Xisto account in four days. I have been messing with domain names and it all got ****** up, so I have to terminate it and then apply again. I know it sounds weird, but that is the only solution.Tomorrow I am going on a three-day trip, and when I come back I will do it. I have made a full backup and MySQL backups. When I terminate it, I will increase my credist again and re-apply with using my new top level domain.I just wanted to get some opinions on this move. Will I be accepted ( ) andd will I be able to recover everything.. I really don't want to mess up anything I just want normal hosting again..
  18. Yeah, the last one is the best. Why? Well, the first two show that you do have skill, but they are too cluttered. The last one is simple a good-looking.
  19. In the administration panel there might be an option to disallow signatures. Check if it is turned on.
  20. I've watched a VH1 programme where they talked about top 50 things to own if you are rich, I think. In the first three places was the black American Express, a credit card with no limit I'm suprised Google owners don't have it, since they can probably afford it!
  21. I don't know for it turning off, but my computer kept turning itself on, too. You might have the same problem. If you are constantly connected to the internet, the network send data packages now and then. There is an option is Windows (or was it BIOS?) for the computer to turn itself on when there is some network activity. If it's not that, all you can do (for it shutting itself down) is to pull the plug out everytime you shut it down. That way it won't turn on again, I assure you
  22. Yeah, it's very good, that's how I found some of my previous hosts. However, the results are not always perfect. I've tried using power search and checked some things that Xisto - Support, but didn't get it on the results list. That's not so good. Xisto is better that all of those I got..
  23. OK, let's see which are the best.Number one, investing. Probably one of the most profitable choices, but not so secure. I can now invest in EA Games, but they could bankrupt tomorrow!Number two.. Not really, politicians are usually disgusting, or get killed because they aren't :PNumber three - yeah, it might seem nice, but imagine all the stuff you would have to do :oFour is really not safe, unless you don't mind dying or spending the rest of your life in jailFive involves being a policeman or a detective or someone very brave (and stupid) - chances of death - 73.47%Six is I must say to silly, people aren't that generous for you to become a millionaireSeven is almost the same as threeEight is liek fourNine alsoTen is like fiveYou see, there is no perfect way to become a millionaire. Just go with the flow. I don't think Bill Gates had option number 3 in his mind when he was little
  24. Believe me, that thing really works. Of course, first, you must have someone who regularly visits you site, but I don't think that's a problem. When I look at your home page, I say to myself "This site is professional and must attract hundreds if not thousands of people"
  25. Don't worry about, I'm sure Xisto corp. is good enough to hide your password ~edit~Now I've been waiting for two days and I'm going out of town tomorrow
