I wouldn't start taking more of it until I understood that. Part of the problem with all these different recommendations from all these studies, is that they are not really saying how much to take except in a very general way. I started taking an 81 mg dose of baby asprin a day for the heart benefits. If that could be enough to protect against cancers than great. I don't believe 81mg will hurt me in any significant way. However, if I'm told that taking a much larger dose daily will do something good without being told there may be side effects, or interactions with or against other things I ingest, than I would definitely question that. Asprin is a powerful medicine. Taking it like a vitamin should be looked at carefully. Everyone should find out what they need as an individual before jumping on the myriad of bandwagons the media keep throwing at us. We are all individuals with many traits and risk factors. Those things need to be sorted out before deciding on a regimen of any kind. There is no magic bullet.
