Replying to cybernet_surferIt's a weird glitch; I just encountered it. Not even uninstalling/reinstalling fixed it. What I just did was leave my other music player open like you described while running a test game, and then closing the player in the middle of the test (while the game's bgm is playing). Everything magically went back to normal. I don't know what the deal with that glitch is.-reply by miyayoshi

Replying to xipI am having the same problem, but only after I installed Nero. It wants to install dx9 even though I have dx9 installed already. I did a system restore to before I installed Nero, then everything works fine. Any ideas?-reply by drag68

(WAR) CHINA VS USA War Replying to kahat The united states in a war with china would be costly the usa has never had a war in the last 70 years or so where there opponet was nothing more then an army china however now has a airforce and navy that has to be dealt with true that todays date 2008 the you.S. Would win the war because of our technology sheer naval and air power would cripple the chinese airforce navy and there army doesnt matter how many troops they have one bomb could kill thousands of there troops with out loosing a soilder on the americans side and we have alot of bombs plus with the bases in korea japan and tawiian the supply of the you.S. Military and its allies would be hard to beat specially if the chinese would no longer have a airforce or navy after the americans have bombed all of that tho you still would have to watch out war with china could mean war with north korea and we would have to take that into account and then that means there is another frontier that the united states would have to guard and if north korea attacks south korea you are looking at world war three then if we start using nukes then it will be the apocolypse in which in that case no one wins becuase a nuclear war cannot be won -reply by matthew

The Vista GUI is horrible. I recently purchased a laptop pre-installed with Vista Home Premium. At first, I was slightly impressed with the fresh clean look of Vista. Then, as I started searching for the customizable options, I realized that I couldn't find anything. In their quest to make it prettier, they removed the functionality that I have come to expect out of a Windows OS. On another topic, the wizards and the help menus make you feel like a total idiot. At least XP treated you like an intelligent adult who has to figure a few things out for himself, but that's ok, because it still allows you to customize a large portion of it. I also figured out how much RAM Vista uses on an average basis. Are you ready for this? I don't think you're ready, but I'll say it anyway. A WHOPPING 300MB OF RAM! That's right, you read correctly, 300MB of RAM just to make the windows transparent and look pretty. It's no wonder they require a 2 GB setup. If you have anything other than a top of the line PC, you'll run super sluggish. When I realized just how much memory the GUI was running, I pulled out my old XP Pro CD and installed. I sincerely hope Microsoft will do something about this. I think if they allow users to run the XP Luna GUI, a lot more people will switch to Vista. They may praise and exalt the "New and Improved Revolutionary" Vista GUI, but plain and simple, it's a resource hog that sucks the life out of your PC. Hate to say it Microsoft, but if you don't change your ways with Windows 7, I'll either stay happy with XP, or find myself shunning Microsoft in favor of Linux.

Replying to ~Upnorf Cr3w~I wouldn't be running two miles several times/week if you're playing football. Stick to sprints and plyometrics. Interval training is good too. Try 20 minutes of intervals instead of the 2 miles. A 1 minute ladder and then a one minute slow jog, 10 times each would be 20 minutes of good work. Also pyramids if you have access to a track... 10 40s, 6 100s, 4 200s, 2 400s and back down would be awesome. You can do a 2 mile run once in a while, but it's sort of a waste of time for a sport like football. Not a waste of time... But I would say there are way better ways to focus your time and energy.If you do the intervals, start off 3 times per week. Work your way up to 10 sprinting sets (pyramids, etc) and 10 one minute (or 45 second - depending how quickly you recover) jogs. NOTE: The slow jog is your "rest" between sprints, this should be a constant thing. Why Valve make such a "Steam" program? In the past, they're not using that to package games like Half Life : Game of The Year Edition, Half Life : Counter Strike...And in the 2001, Steam released with "unliked-by" customers. Maybe because of that Valve wasn't well-known anymore 'til Half-Life 2 released.I've same problem, and I've googling over the internet, and the answers still doesn't good. 'You have to connect to internet to play'. What a such damn!But...Valve itself say that you must upgrade your Steam console to play offline.
