The authors descrption of the pagefile and virtual memory is confused and best ignored. The pagefile is most certainly NOT virtual memory. Virtual memory is a system in which the pagefile is a component. It is used to store infrequently accessed data, thus leaving more RAM for more important uses. The pagefile can indeed contain passwords and other sensitive data. But accessing this data through the pagefile is not easily done and is likely to take considerable time, even for a well equipped hacker. In most systems accessing such data can be done by other means and with far less effort. Unless you are willing to take the time to guard your system from these other threats as well, cearing the pagefile will do virtually nothing for security. Clearing the pagefile overwrites every byte of the pagefile with zero's. It does not delete the file. Doing this will most certainly increase shutdown times, particularly for laptops. The are absolutely NO performance benefits from clearing the pagefile. The pagefile was designed to improve performance, disabling it will almost always be a bad idea. I don't know about PVC cement, but that "Liquid Skin" they've come out with stings beyond belief when you put it on the wound/cut. I have some and I've used it on very small cuts, but I don't think I could take putting it on anything even the size of a penny, much less larger. It's a stinging way beyond alcohol or anything else I've had to deal with. I suspect PVC cement is probably just as bad, but if plumbers have been using that stuff with good results, that's fine with me. I'm gotten it on normal skin and it does form a nice barrier that sure isn't likely to fall off very quickly.

Bull. I'm trying to find out info now about if I should pay or not. Ive been with my girlfriend for a year now. She suffers from depression and has an eating disorder. Her therapist put her on the pill to stop her periods so she didnt feel even lower at that time a month. I'm jobless, so is she. I got to see her once a week because she had really posh parents and they didint like the area I lived in so had 2 go round when they were at work. But I stuck by her. We both ended up homeless coz of it. I worked with her mother and she was alowed back 2 month later. Now she refuses to call me or txt me because her parents have said they will support her if she doesnt have anything to do with me. I was refused the first scan and now ive found out I wont even be alowed to be at the birth. Should I pay maintanence? should I hell. ok, first of all, don't just wake up in the morning and say to yourself 'I know, I'll make a game today, then maybe I could be a firefighter tomorow, the next day a businessman' etc. It doesn't work like that. Programming is harder than you think. I personally fell into the trap of learning thousands (well, actually about 10) different programming langs. I personally recomend Java. The compiler is free, and is very powerful 3D software. I know RuneScape™ uses Java, and look at where that is today. Chances are it used many different code libraries, worth thousands, so you will have to wait for a good income to get that good. Game devellopment usually requires a team of up to and including 100 people, sometimes more. And you are probably talking months, maybe even years of programming. Some minigame applets will take little more than a week, but what you are talking about will take ages. Start small. Try to make something where a simple shape travels across the screen, and when a user clicks it changes direction, or follows the mouse pointer, or even try it where it moves to the cursor keys. Take things one step at a time. And when you do succeed, post it on here so that I can try to follow what you did, and produce a game of my own (LOL) -reply by Death 2 All

It said I had to download something for 13 HOURS no less just so I could play FEAR2, *** is with that?? I had the two disks it came with brand new out of box. 100k players?Creating A Text Mmorpg?Hi Lightning 100k players is really a lot. About my codes, well I started with an "unbugged" clone, you know that a thing like that doesn't exist lol and took me 4 months to get the complete idea of what I was making, right now the game is 43 days old, just got 250 players and is running nice. 80% of the codes are done by me and that other 20% has been checked line by line so there are no problems or backdoors. Only problem I got is the time out with the server (I can't afford a dedicated server right now) that makes 1 bug if it laggs while saving but without that it is running really nice. hmm,,, I think that cloning has its advantage and disadvantage, if we cloned a human being, that clone... Would it be treated as a human? or a second class citizen... And the thing about having the clone as a "back up" and that they will be a donar if your heart failed or something like that, would we have the right to force them to? After all, they are a human being just like us, so human rights would apply to them as well. Also, would the mother of the clones treat "them" the same way as a mother would treat her original children? The thing about cloning, I think it will cause more problems than it would solve, clones would probably rebel due to being treated unfairly (a possibility), religious people will protest, the DNA might somehow get infected, causing the clones to suffer, and being disabled as the result. -reply by Fenix
