If she answers positively, then well good luck. As for your parents, trust is important. But then again, you should show them some good results in your studies and show them you're old enough to think for your own, like by giving good results, as I have mentioned, and build up trust. Once they know that you're independent, giving no problems in your studies etc., they'll give you freedom. Like how I'm able to go out on my at any time of the day. Its time is known only to your Lord. You are only sent to warn those who fear it.? (Qur?an 79:42-45) The point is that when Allah says that something is ?known only to your Lord?, it means that it is something that cannot be discovered by man, such as a person?s lifespan. Many people try to predict a number of things and we assume that, because of the advances in science and technology, we can also have knowledge similar to what Allah has. However, think about how many times the weather report has been wrong despite all the satellites and advanced equipment, how many people were supposed to die but lived, and how many people were supposed to have lived but died. All of these things remind us of how far we really are from Allah?s knowledge. As for using the Maya calendar, we need to stop and think about a number of things. First, how many predictions did they make? Second, what were their predictions about? Third, what was the rate of accuracy in all of their predictions and why they aren?t being used as mainstream evidence? Fourth, where did they get this knowledge from? It is only Allah who knows and decides when the End of the World will be as it can be brought in at the blink of an eye as stated clearly in Quran 16:77:بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ أعوذ بالله من الشيطٰن الرجيموَلِلَّهِ غَيْبُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَآ أَمْرُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ إِلَّا كَلَمْحِ ٱلْبَصَرِ أَوْ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌTo Allah belongs the Unseen of heavens and earth and The Hour can come at the blink of an eye, or even nearer. We shouldn?t be fooled by such things,even if they are packaged and presented in the name of science. Science is a very useful tool, but it is often misused and twisted to fit a certain agenda or just to sell a book. When all is said and done, remember that just because the sun has risen from the east for millions of years doesn?t mean that Allah can?t change it tomorrow and make it rise from the west. We must remember that just as our own lives are in the hands of Allah, so is the life of the world, and He can end it whenever He likes. Seagate 500 GB External drive crashHelp For My Seagate Sata Hard Drive!I have a Seagate FreeAgent ® 500GB external drive which has crashed without notice. I plug in the external power cord but the external drive does not light up and the drive makes a steady off-and-on humming sound every few seconds that sounds like the drive is trying to spin but cannot. In addition, my computer does not recognize the drive so I cannot run a diagnostic on it. I cannot see a means to open the drive and examine it.The drive has a LOT of business and personal information I've backed up over the last year and I would hate to see it lost without a solution...Especially an expensive one. WOW. port forwarding actually helped for once!Speed Up UtorrentOn my new computer, I'm downloading computer games... Anywhere from 2GB to 9GB... And I've spend the last 5 days DL'ing them with a max speed of 27kb/s. As soon as (literally, seconds after) I forward the port I hit 88kb/s and it's still climbing. I've forwarded a bunch of ports in my time... But for DL'ing with uTorrent there's a huge noticeable difference. Granted I'll remove the ports from the opened list when I'm done... Found "USBDLM" software that helps map USB drives to particular drive letters.Reserving A Drive Letter For An External EnclosureFacing the same predicament regarding drive letters as others did in the forum, I found a program that can associate the hardware ID of a USB storage device to a particular drive letter. Thus, even when I plug in various other peripherals into my laptop, or *gasp* plug my external hard drive into a different USB port, this software always associates my external Storage drive with the letter S. The software is called USBDLM, and is available for free for private use on http://www.uwe-sieber.de/usbdlm_e.html Configuration is accomplished manually via .INI files, though it could be manually set up to use the Registry. The downloaded archive includes a utility to help determine the various USB hardware IDs associated with USB devices. After reading the help file and modifying the sample .INI file, I rebooted the laptop to get the newly-installed service running. The software worked as presented on the website, and in my opinion is worth it for someone technically-savvy who is frustrated with drive letters remapping themselves despite being set in Logical Volume Management, especially after hardware changes or new laptop docking configurations. -reply by Michael

responseHiring FelonsS. Baker, You keep on going. I know it is hard. My husband is currently on probation for a crime and is trying to get it together. He began his journey by going to church. A pastor there heard his story and gave him a reference to a parishner who also was told his story and offered him a job. He worked or him for about 6 months as tiler (he installed tile) but his knees were already bad and so he had to quit. He then through the church and some people we went to group with got a job with a man who he told his story to and started to work in the mortgage industry. He was making fair money when the industry collapsed and is now looking for another opportunity. It has been tough but in the end it is important to know and get to know people who will then vouch for you, or even take a chance on you. Volunteer where you can, show that you can and are willing to use your experiences to help others. Find an oraganization that you can participate in. If you have to move back home, make the best of it and use whatever time you have to involve yourself with people whenever and wherever you can.
