I am not stupid I did not set one, 12345 does NOT work 1111 does NOT work along with several others, there is no positive outcome to this, you gotta buy a new one or format. SolutionMaking A DSL Connection Auto-Connect On StartUpHi Guys I found a program byR2 studios called startup delayer. It can seem tricky at first but all you do is add rasdial.Exe which is found in system32 directory. Once you added rasdial.Exe from the system32 directory to the list hit edit and under extra where you can put in a string you put your details in. Please note you should use rasdial commands which I have found on microsoft. "dialup name" username password so if you have a dial up connection called webafrica it would be "webafrica" username password. Set the time for how long after the boot you want to have it start and there you go. By the way this works for bridged mode dial up and not for router with dhcp that holds the connection

cpanel main pages gone...Hack Into CpanelHello all, I made changes to one of my cpanel websites today and everything went smoothly. I checked the changes using mozilla and internet explorer to make sure everything went smoothly, and everything was fine. However, once I got home tonight and tried to go to the site (by go to the sites I mean typing the address in the address bar-not through cpanel) through mozilla and then through IE, all that came up was a white screen. Then I went and tried the other website (which I did not even log into to try and edit it) also linked to my cpanel account and that too was not functioning. I then logged into cpanel and checked the html coding for both sites, and the html is gone for both main pages of these sites. Does anyone know anything about this/has this ever happened to you before? Suggestions?

I really need help! My parents (82 & 77) have 2 computers. There is a modem from earthlink and a linksys router. The pc is connected via ethernet and the wireless via the router. All was working fine until 3 days ago. My mom (enough knowledge to be devastatingly dangerous) went "playing around" and apparently found herself in network connections. Yikes. I barely knew enough in the first place to connect everything in the beginning so obviously this is really beyond me. As she was fiddling around and exploring network connections she inadvertently changed some settings (could be one or several). Prior to this when she booted up her pc (xp/sp3) I believe it just loaded and went into windows - not entirely sure of this she may have had to click on her user picture - but I thought it just went into windows. There is only one user account on the pc (guest is turned off). Anyway, now when windows load the familiar box comes up with her name asking for a password which she never set up. So with her name showing, no password entered she its ok and windows loads. She can live with that but it isn't how it used to be. I mention this problem because something she changed has created this. I believe she was in the authentication area and may have changed something there but I am not familiar enough with those things to figure it out. The upshot is now my father cannot access the internet on his laptop if the PC is on (an undeducated guess would be that the authentication relies on her sign in but it is purely a guess). if her computer is off he goes in unplugs the router and the ethernet cord going into her pc then goes and turns on his laptop and he connects just fine. She goes in and turns on her computer and wham - he is toast. I need help. They are older, they are beginning to panic and they are all upset. Does anyone know what she did or perhaps how I can fix it. What should her lan settings be in regards to authentication????????? please help! I'm desperate -question by malcom

I was hoping to have an infinite 'while' loop with, for instance, a global double ctr1 = ctr1 + 1 that would begin execution upon the push of a button, and the value of ctr1 would be displayed once every second in a text box with the timer1. Problem seems to be that the timer will not interrupt this 'while' loop! (Heck, I can't even get the timer to display the value AFTER it has finished counting in a for-next loop!) To remove this disconnect all cables etc, from the back of your pc, hold down the power button with all cables disconnected and that should discharge any static electricity built up. I've been a Windows user since "95".I've been a Linux user since Ubuntu 9.04 Release. Not long @ all, but I am very confused when people say KDE is Like Windows & Gnome is like Mac??? To me it's the total opposite, in fact. In Gnome **** just works especially in Ubuntu. KDE on the other hand U can customize the customization until hours have wizz'ed by, and still haven't done any real work. But I wish I could add Kate & Gedit together to create the ultimate text editor (Please some programmer do this!). Also the merger of Nautilus & Dolphin would make for a very interesting file manager. Not 2 mention the combination of GDM & KDM. Basically just add the best of the best in one, with the best of the best in the other, and combine to produce the ultimate OS that Linux, the world has ever seen. I don't write code, program, or anything like that. I just make it better. This would be the best hands down for Power Machines and Power Users. This would be the most sought after, downloaded, remastered, Linux distro the NET has ever seen. I think I will look into GTK+ and QT a little closer and try this for myself. There is no better in Linux of these two. There is only MERGER, Gnome & KDE together. The other Window Managers & DE's pail in comparison to the merger of the the top 2... Someone do this then watch as all attention shifts to Linux. Now manufactures have one distro they could pay real attention to. Microsoft & Mac would really be in trouble as more and more people buy bare bones equipment, instead of pre installed crap. Just a few words from a layman. -reply by DaMad-Man
