Drivers Using Cellphone cellphones can maximise accidents
iGuest replied to atm's topic in Science and Technology
I heard there's this thing being made by I think Microsoft where they have like basically a navigator type thing. It can be used as a cellphone, to locate people, play music, everything. It'll take the space of the usually components to the drivers right, and also has touchpad and voice recognition devices inputted in it. I have a feeling that wil make things worse, and not to mention we can't forget about the states that banned cellphone and driving already. They'll probably have to ban the car too! -
These are quite good tips.I prefer using Thunderbird than Outlook/Outlook Express though and I might give tips on using that.Cheers,MC

Just an update on that link, it's still in the testing stages, so some things have not been tested yet. IE 6 & 7, Firefox 1 & 1.5, Opera 8. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Always happy to see improvements on the standards no matter which browser is improving. Final Fantasy Which one do you consider the best?
iGuest replied to aaorozco's topic in Computer Gaming
I'm a big fan of romantic novels, movies, and everything else that might be like that. So basically, Final Fantasy VIII is my favorite among all the final fantasys out there. I've replayed Final Fantasy VIII so many times, that I've lost count now. Also, I've gotten maxed stats twice during those play throughs. I can't get enough of the story and the style. The only problem I had with it was the damn junction system. It seemed to consume a little too much of my time trying to get all the good magic for each character. Final Fantasy VIII is probably going to be my best even after Final Fantasy XII comes out, even though XII does like promising. It just won't have the romantic feeling like in Final Fantasy VIIIFinal Fantasy VII also is pretty up there. It just had one of those very sad, world-is-ending feeling to it. Loved how each of the characters but Cait Sith was portrayed. Cait Sith was just annoying until after awhile..which he was still annoying but not as much. -
From what you've provided I assume it's a Intraserver 6110 Ultra2 SCSI adaptor yet I'm not sure what is with Intraserver's website although try Symbios/LSI Logic (http://www.avagotech.com/) to see if they have a miniport driver for the device, considering it's got their flash chip and I heard they were going to buy Intraserver out.Serial Number is probably irrelevant as well as the barcode (might be the ID for the person who worked on the card). If you were using Linux/Unix, I think it's supported.Cheers,MC

Battlefield 1942 Does anyone here still play this?
iGuest replied to Mossaic91's topic in Computer Gaming
Yeah Battlefield 2 is a pretty good game, much better than 1942 in my opinion. Gotta love the ability to play against over 40 people at once, with not much fluncuation. It does lag a little though, I get about 30-80 ping on average, depending on the server. Awesome game, love the tanks too. -
What Is The Best Program For Animated Gifs?
iGuest replied to marcin's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I would recommend flash at first. It's very nicer looking with flash in my opinion. But if you don't know how to use the flash, then head on over to adobe image ready. That's very basic and all you need to do is put the pictures together whatever you want, and make it a gif instantly!! It's that simple! Now if it was simple to get a good price on Adobe... -
Overture Services has stopped selling search-related advertising to unlicensed online pharmacies, in response to concern about illegal drug sales over the Internet. Overture, the commercial search subsidiary of Yahoo, said Tuesday that it filtered the last of its advertisements related to online pharmacies or pharmaceutical drug sales on Monday, and it notified advertisers over the weekend that it would cease selling the ads. The move comes in response to lobbying from U.S. pharmacy trade group the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) and Drugstore.com, a major Overture advertiser and one of the Net's biggest online pharmacies. For the last nine months, NABP and Drugstore.com have been trying to wipe out ads for prescription drugs, such as painkillers Vicodin and OxyContin, that can be ordered freely by mail from some Web sites without a doctor's consent. NABP held a meeting with Yahoo last Wednesday about removing the ads. Overture lets advertisers bid for placement in Web search results related to keywords, ranging from "Vicadin" to "digital cameras." The ads appear under the heading "sponsored listings" when surfers type in related terms. Overture partner sites, including Microsoft's MSN Web portal and Yahoo, have displayed the ads. Overture said it will ban the sale of drug-related keywords to licensed and non-licensed pharmacies until it has employed a third party to verify the legitimacy of drug-related advertisers, which it expects to do in the first quarter of 2004. The company still allows ads related to addiction recovery keyed to drug terms."We think legitimate online pharmacies serve an important need by giving consumers access to drugs cost-effectively," Overture spokeswoman Jennifer Stephens said. "However, the online environment has become increasingly complex in this area. We thought it was best to take the listings down until we can impose guidelines that will help identify legitimate online pharmacies."Stephens said that MSN, one of Overture's biggest partners, also wanted the ads removed from its site. MSN licenses commercial search results from Overture. Overture's new policy is a win for NABP and Drugstore.com in their campaign to rid search engines of ads from rogue pharmacies. The two entities have contacted several sites, including search engine provider Google, MSN and America Online, saying that they have run ads from illegal distributors. NABP and Drugstore.com have wanted the sites to agree not to run ads from distributors unless they are certified by the industry. The association lists 14 certified pharmacies on its verified Internet pharmacy practices site (VIPPS), including Drugstore.com and Walgreen's online arm, Walgreens.com.AOL, Yahoo and MSN, through its partnership with Overture, will now be in accordance with their wishes. Google spokesman David Krane said that the company is evaluating its pharmacy-related advertising, but it has not yet decided to make any changes. Google's policy is to accept ads only from pharmacies that require customers to provide appropriate evidence of authorization, such as a doctor's prescription or consultation, before fulfilling orders. But the company has allowed advertisements for unlicensed pharmacies. Krane has said in the past that Google is exploring the adoption of more stringent measures, including limiting sales of pharmaceutical ads to VIPPs-certified companies. The war on drugsNABP's efforts to restrict online pharmacy ads come as concerns mount over illegal prescription drug imports from Canadian and overseas Web sites. Sites that sell low-cost medications with or without a prescription have proliferated online, littering Web search results pages and e-mail in-boxes with pitches for a range of restricted drugs, including the male sexual aid Viagra, the antidepressant Xanax and the sleeping pill Ambien.Pharmaceuticals sellers served some 2 billion advertising impressions in October, making them the second-largest group of advertisers within the health industry on the Net, behind weight-loss marketers, according to researcher Nielsen/NetRatings. The health market made up about 5 percent of the total online ad sales in October, Nielsen reported.Demand is there, too. As drug prices rise, many people are turning to Internet stores to buy less-expensive alternatives from abroad. Analysts say that the trade of unlicensed prescription drug sales online will be worth between $800 million and $1 billion this year.Regulators are beginning to crack down. Following a complaint from the Food and Drug Administration, a federal judge in Tulsa, Okla., shuttered Rx Depot, a Web site that sold low-cost prescription drugs from Canada.Overture's Stephens said that the monetary loss from removing the drug-related listings would be insignificant, but the company is eager to put a new third-party system in place.

Problem With Mysql Cannot connect to database....
iGuest replied to abhiram's topic in Web Hosting Support
I would look into your cPanel and look at MySQL Databases under Site Management Tools and see if you can notice anything different from the databases, username, location etc. MySQL Database would be the way I would create users, databases etc and I would use phpMyAdmin just to administrate it, but I usually do everything from commandline than in a web GUI.Someone with All rights can be limited to a database but if this is your root, you shouldn't have limited it and made sure they had access to all databases. If possible, just create another username with ALL rights, another database and then just write another script to test this database out. It could be a setup problem, yet I can only guess that. You could also attempt to backup or if you have a backup of your database, remove everything from MySQL Database and start afresh. Remember to not prefix your user as this is automatically done, which I think you already know.Cheers,MC -
Problem With Mysql Cannot connect to database....
iGuest replied to abhiram's topic in Web Hosting Support
OK abhiram, This may not be the problem but you've not actually connected the database, because you have not actually said in your code to do anything to it. This line only sets $conn, it doesn't actually show that we connected although this can sometimes work, but it's best to make sure it does. $conn = mysql_connect( $dbhost, $dbuser, $dbpass ) or die( 'Error with given username and password' ); Should be: $conn = @mysql_connect( $dbhost, $dbuser, $dbpass );// this makes a definite connection check and reports an error if any// since $conn can still be set with an error message and not be considered// a failure.if( !$conn ) die ( 'Error with given username and password' ); As you can see here, I am checking if the connection actually works, because we shouldn't instantly assume that we connected by setting it, since an error string being sent can still be valid. At least now we can make sure we're connecting. The @ sign is just to suppress any error other than what we want to show. You could test this by echoing the results of $conn if you don't think this is the case. To be on an even safer side we could do this as well which adds the connection link we wanted to use so to not let PHP guess which connection to choose even though it usually defaults to the last connection made: mysql_select_db($database, $conn) or die('Error, could not open database.'); The only other problem would be, are you positive that's the correct database? Since that would be the most obvious at that stage without the above failing. Hope this helps. As for global variables, you mean autoglobal variables? You should be able to do away with autoglobal variables, this is not a set back, global variables exist but must be explicitly defined if you need them. So you should fix your code up if you rely on autoglobal or auto registered variables. Cheers, MC -
The game was pretty good for the fact that there are so many Korean games coming out these days. I used to play this so much until some guy found out my easy password, which I didn't care baout since I was gonna stop playing anyways to go back to counter strike. It's quite fun, makes you use some brain when you want to make those crazy old shots with the boomerang and stuff. I found myself using that one gravity mobile that would bring people closer to the shot, and the tonker toy thingy mobile. Where you can shoot those little babies and the next time your turn comes up the closest person will be the target of them. Awesome game I recommend it for those who accept games that aren't with blood or human violence.

I don't think there were any like that. There were probably things that might've resembled it, but no, it wasn't still. I think the only dragon we call one today is the komodo dragon. Which isn't one at all because it doesn't even begin to fit the description of a made up dragon, except they both breathed. If there were dragons though, I don't think those poor knights would really stand a chance against them XD haha, really though, it's folks tales or fables, or whatever you want to call them that aren't real but made up stories.

Hi all,I have a client (church) who I am making a Mambo site for. THing is that they do not want any down time in the move from old to new, not even just an hour while I load content. I need to know if it is possible to create a whole Mambo site on one server, and then transfer it (via ftp) to another server. -How hard is it to reconnect the database?-If all the installed files are moved, does it matter that the new server never went through an "install?"-will the configure file open up on the new server so that I can change the site information?ANy other things that I need to know?
-
Hi! I'm extremely new to Mambo, and was just playing around with it to set up a "back door" site for my main site's writers. I'm thinking that a cms might be a good move for my entire site, but I'd just like some input from people who know more about the subject. I've read a few conversion tutorials that I found throughout the net, and I'm still not sure about whether or not this would really work, and what the best way would even be. Sergio
