For the longest time, I've been hearing people asking about Affiliate Programs. Some don't know what they are .. some don't know how they work .. some tried them and failed. Only a few actually succeeded at playing the Affiliate Game. But why so few? Is it because becoming an affiliate is too hard? Is it because it's expensive? Is it due to lack of decent affiliate programs? Well, it could be any of those reasons. BUT... it also could be due to the fact that those who failed didn't know what they were doing. They joined a thousand affiliate programs, put banners and links everywhere they could, then sat back and waited for money to fall in their laps. Does that sound familiar? Well, it should! Because 95% of affiliates do exactly that. They never bother to learn how to do it the right way. They build a field of dreams, imagining that money comes easy, or believing the hype of cheesy affiliate programs which promise them $100 a day without having to do anything ... But when they wake up from their dreams, they find reality kicking them in the butt Which is a shame, really, because being a successful affiliate is not that hard at all. Many people have done it, and they make a great living out of it. I myself am one of those people. Today, I'm starting this thread to tell you how YOU can become an affiliate champion. In a series of short articles, I'm going to tell you everything you need to know in order to build a successful, profitable, and enjoyable affiliate business. Being an affiliate is possibly the best introduction into the world of making money online. It's easy, it's doable, it's cheap (possibly free), and it works! So, if you're interested, please check this topic every now and then. We'll start from the very beginning, and move up the ladder, one step at a time. I promise you there will be loads of useful information here ... information that will help you join the 5% who actually do it right. By the end of this series, I can assure you that you'll have a successful affiliate business .. one that actually makes money, instead of wastes it. So please ... stay tuned ... I'll see you soon. Regards. Dr. Tamer Aly

Yes it is. Do you really mean that you have created only one sitemap containing urls belonging to different websites? if that be the case, i'll like to suggest you to create one sitemap for each of your websites. How will you verify other domains/websites which do not belong to you? The status of those stuff will remain unverified and you will get no report. You may consider posting your above query here. Also your server must return a HTTP 404 status code for pages that are not found, and not a 200 or anything else. Please check this link. Regards, Sid

It is well known to all of us that you require to optimise your website (SEO) to get more traffic from the search engines. Now let us consider a hypothetical situation. Suppose you have created a webpage and optimised it for keyphrase "SEO". Now you find that your url is placed somewhere around page-04 of the SERPs. So, the page requires further optimisation and you continue to do so untill and unless you are getting #1 position for that keyphrase. Now my question is how frequently can we make changes in order to optimise the website for search engines. The question may appear somewhat confusing, but, as per as my knowledge goes, atleast Google dislikes frequent small changes in webpages. And in order to optimise a page for SEs, frequent small changes are inevitable. So, how frequently should we try it optimise it ?Regards,Sid

PTR is not the greatest idea to earn money in the internet, there are better ideas to do so, try to use those. I think this is a misuse of the PPC search engines, so better not to develop such sites. If you are strongly interested, there are dedicated websites/forums for this purpose, so you may find more help there.

Yet to chalk out that formula or may be, there is no such formula. However, I'm keeping a sharp watch on latest developments that are taking place in Google SERPs. Months ago, Google had a problem with hyphenated-domain names as site: operator was not working with those domain names. Now they have overcome that problem. Still the "G" requires a lot to do to make their SERPs SPAM FREE. Now the BigDaddy has shown its effect in terms of reducing SPAMs, still there are sites like you have referred to. So the battle is not yet over, and neither the SPAM SEOs nor the Google is going to take a delicious slumber. However, if you can see a spam site in Google SERPs you can always report it to Google, and if you are really serious about it, you have to shout a lot in different forums so that Google guys can see it and take urgent action. Regards, Sid

Most likely to be that, however, it still provides a good measure of how much popular your preferred keyword is, as other SEs are most likely to show the same trend. Anyway the one I've mentioned earlier is a good integration of all the major SEs, so likely to be more useful.

Thanks for your acknowledgement. This tool does a lot of tasks all in one place and really helpful in keyword research. Last night, when I located it for the first time, I was pretty excited and posted the link here in a hurry. So far as Keyword research goes, I usually use Overture, and some other tools which are all very popular and already used by many of us. These popular existing tools were referred to wrongfully as "Conventional one" in my earlier post. These should better be referred to as "Popular" or something like that. Thanks for pointing out it. Regards, Sid

Here is a FREE keyword research tool http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ '> http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ It provides you with a lot more information that the conventional ones. Just give it a try. Regards, Sid

Another point to note about Link-Exchange is that it simply spoils the very spirit of how Google measures the importance of a webpage (Page Rank). People are, actually, not referring to your website direct, instead they are placing your link on their site in exchange of a link back to their sites. Apart from that, people are simply trading links ( both buing and selling) openly. Google also has marked this and they seem to be more skeptical in trusting IBLs to your website. It is also heard that they are now calculating the ratio of IBL to OBL to justify their importance. A popular forum for Webmasters has recommended absolute NO to link exchange. In view of the changing scenario, link exchange does not seem to be safe anymore, if you want to see your site in Google SERPs.Regards,Sid

A fast indexing is not a good excuse for indexing SPAM sites. Also so far as I can recall, after BigDaddy, Google has decided to crawl more and add less pages. This time, unlike Google, they responded quickly to this SPAM. Those sites have really compelled my wonder by the way they have managed to populate webpages. They might have used automated software to add data, still, they did it very fast., infact beyond imagination.

This time the big "G" responded quickly to spam in terms of banning 7 billion pages from five different websites. You can read the topic http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ '>here. These websites really took only couple of weeks to get billions of pages indexed in Google. After reading this thread in https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/new-spam-sites-billions-of-results.97090/ '>DigitalPoint forum it appears that: So, MSN did the best atleast in this case. I use Mambo/VirtueMart where VirtueMart it works as a plug-in component with Mambo CMS and both are FREEWARE.Using Fantastico, you can easily install Mambo, and then you have to download and install VirtueMart as a Component. I have already started a thread regarding VirtueMart, so you can take a look here. Apart from many websites offering tutorials on Mambo and VirtueMart, both of them has a very active forum through which you can get answer to most of your queries. I know Mambo has a newsletter service which will make you updated about security issues.Reagrding VirtueMart security issues please take time to read this Regards, Sid

I Cannot Recieve E-mail On My Hosting Account
iGuest replied to iGuest's topic in General Discussion
--- Ok, this is strange! I parked one of my domain names here at Xisto, and tried setting up an e-mail account using it. Everything worked just fine. It sends, it receives, it even plays basketball. I tried the default e-mail again, and its problem still persists. Well, as far as I'm concerned, my problem is solved. I can just the same use the e-mail account I set up with my domain name . Thanks to everyone, especially vujsa, who's been one of the most helpful people I've ever come across. And I'm sorry that I've been such a hard-a** . Best Regards, Mobham
