  2. I dont use any internet download manager, unless the download manager included in Mozilla Firefox includes as one. It seems to work a whole lot better then the downloading in Internet Explorer

    What Program...

I currently use Windows Media Player for my music, but I also use Winamp with plugins so I can play game music. I probably use Windows Media Player more often though, for music and to watch videos
  4. The best server operating system is Linux Fedora core, seeing it has everything included, and it is open source. No additional software is needed for Linux, and it is absolutly secure. Depending on what jobs the server needs to do, you can install individual conponents like FTP, mail, HTTP, etc.

  6. To gain full potential out of a PC for gaming, would be to custom make a computer. Companies like HP, and especially Dell require you to purchase additional hard ware from them, because they make custom hard ware for their computers. A custom PC is extremely easy to upgrade, and very customizable. I would choose a custom built PC anyday, then buying from a company. Just my recomendation
  7. Gmail has great, fast service. I especially like how they are upgrading the storage space from one gigs to 2 gigs. From a year ago, they have really done a good job. I'd rather see the Google ads, because they are non-intrusive, then the hotmail ones. Even some of the ads on Gmail are useful! I also like how they enabled POP access, because I use Outlook for a email client, because of all of the email address I have. I will recomend Gmail to anyone that I see. Keep up the good work Google!
  8. Try reinstalling your Norton Antivirus, and if that doesnt work, look on Symantecs site under troubleshooting. I had a similar problem with Norton 2005.
  9. I like to use Dreamweaver, or unless you want to code manually, then use Notepad. Dreamweaver almost contains every type of web format that you can find nowadays. I find it more easier to use then Frontpage. I have used it in the past, and have enjoyed working with such an advanced web editor.
  10. Notepad is awesome, especially if you have to edit that one file, and you dont want to wait for Dreamweaver to open. Notepad can saves as everything, which makes it extremely useful!
  11. Just tried CrapCleaner, works liek a charm! No harm is done to your computer whats so ever. I like the easy to use interface.
  12. I used to use hotmail, and I still do , but im slowly moving to Gmail, considering it now has 2 gigs of storage, and its not so ad infested like hotmail is. I dont even use the web interface with hotmail, I use POP access. I like the idea how google came up with gmail. Google needs to work on their spam filter though.
  13. I like IPB, but its not that easy to customize, and you have to pay for it. if you choose PHPBB, it's open source, and also its so much easier to coustomize. One thing I like about IPB is it's Administator control panel
  14. In my opinion Firefox is a great browser, it is robust, and secure since it doesnt have ActiceX. I personally like the tabbed browsing, its extremely convienent. I have tried the Netscape beta, and I am not inpressed with it
  15. I would recomend Norton Ghost, I have use it in the past and it hasnt caused me any problems so far. On other computers that dont have Ghost installed, I just drag and drop files that I needed to backup onto Nero SmartStart, and burn them onto a CD.
  16. I dont like using Internet Explorer anymore, because of its security flaws. I personally like to use FireFox as a browser, because it is a much more secure browser to work with
  17. I use service pack 2, but I turn off the firewall that comes with it. It blocks certain applications without notifying me. I personally like Norton Firewall the best, it has proven that its reliable, and it always warns me when a application trys to get access to the internet
  18. I dont mind using XP. After when you turn off the many un needed services, windows xp turns out to be a good, reliable opertaing system.
  19. I currently use Firefox, because of its design. I used to use netscape, then went back to IE, still didnt like it. Then Firebird (beta of Firefox) came out, and I really liked it.
  20. I recomend Winamp. It is not so bad on using resources. It works great, and loads extremely fast. The equalizer on Winamp is a nice feature. I have always used Winamp, and will continue using it.
  21. There is a known problem of having a default printer selected that is offline. I have had this happen to me a couple of times. Try changing your printer.
  22. 3D MAX is for 3D modeling, depending what you want to do, I would recomend Photoshop for editing images. It has been the best program that I have ever used for editing images
  23. I recomend Norton AntiVirus. I have always used it, and it has proven to be reliable. The only disadvantage is it is a drain or resources. I notice my boot up time to be a lot slower with Norton installed.
