  1. I always find it amusing when americans complain about the price of gas as we run close to $8 a gallon in the UK. Plus our taxes and insurance are alot higher to boot...makes driving in this country VERY expensive...

    Dvd Decoders

  3. Hmmmm the future of computers is certainly a biggie....My view at the moment is that if you can dream it its probably going to happen. The only question to ask is when it is going to happen. We are already building computers that can in their own fashion 'learn' from their input wether that be through voice or other forms of interface. Granted that this is only a form of response and prediction and in the scheme of things has still got a huge amount to be developed but its there. We already have the capability while not approaching the capacity of the human brain to build computers with awesome processing power which the boandaries are being constantly pushed back.I think there will be a certain stage in the development where we will reach a stalling point where advances past that point will be very difficult but those will eventually be solved as we march on in our inevitable progress. The question that will be raised at some point will be the need to develop computers further. While I am sure advances will be made and hailed to be revolutionary there will come a point where we will not need bigger and more powerful processors. There is already processors that can run at something approaching 800ghz, while the processor burns out from overheating in a fraction of a second it is still a step in the right direction...The march will go on...we just don't know where its going to end up

    Dvd Decoders

I have been searching all over the place to find some dvd decoders that will allow me to play original and copied dvd's. I got my hands on a k'lite package which had quite a few on there but unfortunatly doesnt work with any of my dvd's.The DVDRW drive I bought came without any disks or even screws so no luck with that and I would like to avoid paying for them if I can help it as I have limited funds available to me at the moment :rolleyes:Anyone have any ideas on where I can go?
  5. Just posted this in the gaming forum so I hope this isnt counted as spamming My favourite online game has to be Everquest 1. Have been playing 3 years and loved every moment of it I do play alot of Warcraft 3 online but I tend to concentrate on TD's, Mauls and poker td's as I can actually hold my own in those games
  6. My favourite RPG would have to be Everquest 1 as I have played for over 3 years (Bard here if you know the game) but I also play tabletop RPG's like Vampire, Werewolf and Shadowrun.I also do some Live Action roleplay which is just sooooo much fun :rolleyes:To sum it up? Everquest 1 for teh win PizzicatoHerald of <Old Continent>Druzzil Ro
  7. Ok first post here so treat me kindly :rolleyes:I havn't actually played Guild Wars yet but I have been considering buying a copy. I currently play Everquest 1 and have no intentions of giving that up (Am in a Tacvi raiding guild if you know the game) but have been thinking of starting a different game, preferably not subscriber (ie paying for it) based to play when I can't be bothered with EQ.I have heard that once you get to the higher levels of the game there starts to be a lack of things you can do outside of PvP. While I understand that it is a PvP game in esence I do enjoy doing quests and groups with other players...which leads me to the second question... How is the whole levelling grouping thing setup as I have heard that grouping is essentially impossible as once you leave the PvP areas you are effectivly in an instanced part of the game and don't have any interaction with other PC's...Could someone confirm or deny the rumours for me please?
