  1. What? Or, you can just follow Brooks' tutorial on coloring. Either way works. I prefer the latter because it explains in specifically.
  2. 1. GM, you have to add s234a to your list of sigs given. 2. This applies to Michael, Brooks, and GMU. It's received. NOT recieved. I before E except after C. In this case, they're after v, so it's e before i. 3. Now, to rate the sig: Tech border looks good, but for most sigs, use a 1 pixel stroke. If you want to get fancy, use a double 1 pixel stroke. The background looks like filters (I could be wrong). Use brushes instead. The background color also doesn't go with the render. I'd make it silvery blue. The render color doesn't go with the background. If you want it to be blue, ctrl+click on the render layer. Then go to Layer -> (something) -> Color Balance and tweak it. Render needs to size down. That's it! If you need help on how to do what we say, post it.
  3. What do you mean that it was designed to be random? Replace stuff with style and that sentence is completely false. If you found a style that you love, then keep going with it.
  4. I'm not feeling the tech border there, but I guess it makes it a little more exciting. Hmm, try taking off the clouds effect if you can. I wanna see what your brushing looks like. The clouds seems to be covering up the excitement in the background. The blending is decent, but I would not blend in the head. That's just my style. And the pink cloud looks like someone farted. What I would do is take the hands with the render as well, so it'll look like he's holding a gun.Not bad overall though, but your sigs are quite tall. Use 400 * 150.
  5. Use brushes. That's where it's at. Just find Brooks' (or Johnny if you're new) teaser tutorial (should be in the photoshop forum) and download some brushes. The render: Do not scale them down too much. I always try to get the head of my renders only, but that's preference. Try to also pick out good cuts which means no ugly white border around the render. I'm not feeling the font there, but it looks like it goes with the characters. I don't know. What you need to do, though, is find Brooks' teaser tutorial and find strawberrie (sic.) on make a border and follow those. Notice from Johnny: Brooks doesn't exist.
  6. Don't use filters. It's hard to memorize which filter to use after another if you want to get an effect. It also takes a long time, too, if you're a photoshop newbie. I'd just get some brushes. Much easier, and chances are, you'll create a unique background everytime.
  7. FOOL! You know how hard it is to go back into the forums to find the challenge? Post both the answer and the question in the same thread, please. My connection doesn't feel like going back to the sigs forum. And I was totally off.
  8. Well, I'm a little late on this, so I'll judge the second one.If you're gonna make the skin bumpy, you might as well make everything bumpy. The right side of the eye looks like lava. What are those three black stripes by the eye?You can lose the text decoration. Make it red with a black stroke.
  9. Is it me or am I seeing a trend in background here (except for the last one)? It doesn't matter because it's a very good background. Very depthy.
  10. That's nice and off-topic, but I'll bring you back on topic with an edited version of Mr. Burns: Gotta go! Tomorrow, I find out what classes I will be taking for 180 business days. Later!
  11. Yes. That came with the brush. And Frozen, I'm playing with contrast in my sigs now, and I'll try to learn some curves. *breaks out the magazines* :rimshot:
  12. Hahaha! Why didn't you make me cry?Anyway, the large text is there to fill empty space. I'll go reduce it later. Thanks for all the good comments.
  13. EFFING IMAGESHACK!!If the image is not loading, then that means that my games on my site aren't loading as well.
  14. That's up to Michael to decide. He's the challenger. And nothing is worse than a 404. Michael, why on earth would you host it on your space, dawg? It's killing your bandwidth.
  15. Thought there were. I sensed it in your words. Whatever though. If we start it now, then you have to be sure that a lot of people will enter and vote.
  16. Nguyen always has a point. Add a moon (if it's possible), and kill the clouds. We don't even have clouds here at night in antartica.
  17. Ever noticed that you went off-topic. Listen, I would look at them, but remember that movie that I talked about with you? Still downloading.
  18. You spelled Michael wrong. It's a before e. I would move Saint so that it's left justified. I would also make the background a bit more exciting. Use some grunge brushes if you're using photoshop. Try using brightness/contrast if you're using photoshop to give it more light.
  19. The render sucks on this one. I hate the white stuff yet I don't want to blend it in. I sort of want it to pop out from the bottom. If you're not kubi, try to make me cry with words.
  20. I can't find anything wrong with this one. Maybe the font is a bit wrong or something. :-/ If you're not Michael, give me your hardest comments. Make me cry.
  21. Very generous of you, but I'm not gonna download. Slow connection.doranp, PSD stands for photoshop document. It's basically a file that you can edit in photoshop, with all layers attached.
  22. For the first one, you could make the render bigger so that it shows only the head or something. You can also kill the Grand Theft Auto text. Replace that with your name.Second sig is really good. I just don't like the colors, but I'm not a fan of blue all together.
  23. First sig: Excellent blending. There is a huge space in the left though. Try moving the text up a bit.Third sig: Good blending, but make the background more exciting.Fourth sig: Sweet animation.Fifth sig: Move the text a bit so that it's not on the render.Sixth sig: Move the text and make it brighter.
  24. 1st sig: Odd blending. I'd blend the back of the render but not the feet. Don't use hue/saturation though.2nd sig: Background is not exciting. Use some grunge brushes and quit using the sand background.
