Signature Problem this one is a new one
snlildude87 replied to round's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Honestly, I have clicked the link to your site in your posts many times, so the method of gaining visitors by putting it in your post does work. On the other hand, you're (I wouldn't say spamming) going off-topic a little bit because on some of your posts, the link has nothing to do with the post. The safest way to go is to just put it in your signature. That way, it'll appear in all of your posts, and if a spider happens to crawl this page, your page rank will increase. -
Who Actually Got Paid By Google ? Payments from Google
snlildude87 replied to google-adsense's topic in Business Forum
I get an average of 800 unique visitors a day and around 3000 - 5000 pageloads, and I make around $3 to $5 bucks ($14 is my max), so you can expect figures around a dime a day...that is, if your ads are well-placed. I tend to blend my ads in the content, so it looks like links, and that seems to raise my CTR. Here's an example of what I mean by link-embedding: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ So far, I have made $170 bucks from Google Adsense. They have not paid yet because you need to get over the pay-out limit of $100 first. Then, they'll send your check out at the end of the month when you reached $100, so they should send my check out at the end of August. I'll keep you guys posted if I get my check. -
Hey! We have something in common! Why thank you. I just saw phyre's sig, and I think I'ma go download Brooks' brush set now. It actually looks good. mayank's render looks good, too...but then I realized that the render actually came with the blue streaks. Nevertheless, I love the icey effect on the text (I still can't do that ).

The Word Game A variation of Fridays Word Game

Well, you can start learning PHP at http://www.w3schools.com/. That will show you the basics, and if you know a new function, and you want to look it up, you can go to http://php.net/ to find its arguments and syntax. -
Designed By You Or Site Builder?
snlildude87 replied to David789's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I design my site. I used to use an editor, but the code generated did not validate. Moreover, the editor seems to insert useless code everywhere. If I code my own site, I know exactly what's going in, and I can make it validate. Also, many editors out there use tables of layout. That's a no-no in my book. -

Same difference. I'm sure that the topic starter simply did not know the correct spelling. -

Because AIM rocks. You can't do this in MSN. Besides, all my friends use AIM, and I don't know anyone in real life who uses MSN. -
That is pretty good for a first sig. Much better than my first try.Good job.

I love them! The first one is teh best in my opinion, but what's up with some of the blue grids? For the second one, the words POWERED BY needs to be more clear. It looks like stored by.

Sig Of The Week #2 -- Voting Vote for your favorite sig
snlildude87 replied to Johnny's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Even though I don't like how the grids went over the render, I'm voting for Ralphie because of how everything flows with one another. Good job, Ralphie. -
Today, I learned my name in Chinese. I have no idea if it's correct or not, so if you speak Chinese, and it's wrong, tell me, and I'll remove this thread. Anyway, here are the Chinese characters of my name: Here's the page: http://chineseculture.about.com/index.htm So, what does your name in Chinese look like?

Got them. Here are some pictures, and yes, they are absolutely crazy. ^Click to enlarge ^Click to enlarge Thanks for the heads=up, brawler. -
First: Background is a little plain. It looks like you used filters. Brushes are so much better. I like the little fade thing on the second render. I should do that more often. Second: See First. Both: Resize the height. I used to use 400px by 150px, but that was against the TOS, so now, I'm using 333px by 125px. If the background were a little more not plain, then your first sig would have been off the charts. Here are some really good brushes: http://xaliasx.deviantart.com/gallery/ If you hover over each one, you'll see the description. Look for the ones with the word pack in the description. And if you need help installing the brushes, PM me. Overall, you did pretty well for a vampire. I thought you guys are supposed to be sleeping now....
