I cant believe it, its just dumb. I cant wait to see the day the M$ goes down b/c the users wont like it anymore, and they start switching to a different OS. It just makes me mad that they have to do all that, why cant they just iimprobe their OS without does so much dumb stuff with it, i mean people are still gonna buy longhorn, but i bet many will switch, at least i hope so.

I use winamp, and i really like it, the skins, the thing that i like the most about winamp are the skins, and that you can have it all the way on top of the screen on top of everything and its just a small bar, that doesnt bother anything else, and lets you see things perfectly, you dont have to be changing from window to window to change song.

this is what im getting from all those posts, and it is that all of you guys/girls, like XP because it is more User Friendly, can change desktops backgrounds images blahblah. But yeah i also agree taht winXP is more targeted by coders, just bacause it is the OS that is most used. Therefore there are other OS that can be used so you dont get a virus, etc. I also think that people dont like linux because they dont know how to program, and that is ok, but i just think that is one of the main reasons.

Well, it really isnt recomended, i have been told by numerous people that know what they are talking about. Im not saying that you really shouldnt, ive never done it my self, but i do have two HDD's on my pc with linux on one and XP on the other one.

haha yeah, its a cool optical illusion, but i think there really arent any black donts.

I think that your ZA didnt work because you didnt have it configured correctly, i used to use ZA untill i got Norton for free, not that i stole it, but it had a mail in rebate that made it free. Well anyways it worked fine for me till i switched, you can just try installing it again and configure it manually.Just a suggestion.

IMPORTANT: I really not recomend you that you install Windows and Linux on the same HDD one simeple reason, they cause conflicts, and it will cause both OS's to run unstable. It kinda complicated, but it happens. I just dont recomend it. If i was you, and wrere to install Linux and Widnows i would have two HDD and that would work perfectly for your system

Well it definately looks pretty cool and very small, as you said it is wierd that IMB is not using it to make their own profits out of it. But who knows, maybee they are working in something that is going to be even better. Well i still cant wait to see the performance of the PS3.

Well, i think that if you compare XP to other M$ products then yeah, its probably their best OS, but, linux is way better, at least from my point of view, and ive only been using it for the past 4 or 5 months, no crashes or anything.I hate when XP crashes, with that blue screen, or lately it hasent been shuting down well, so its just not very good with me. Maybe its different with you but, not with me.

Its kind of ugly looking it think, i think they can make it more unique, other than changing the color and making it thinner. But i dont know, its just a thought.

Well, what do you guys think the future of computers will become? Will computers manage many of the things that humans do nowadays?I think a good example is the movie iRobot. I mean is our world going to become like that, if yes, well when do you think this will happen?Do you think we will be able at some point to travel as fast as the speed of light going from galaxy to galaxy?? I think we will, and i hope i am alive for when this happens. I wonder if one day we will be able to live in a nother planet.Who knows, but say what you think.

Well to start the topic off here is one that some of you guys might like: Extending your screen real estate with virtual desktops At any point during the day, i might be writing software, listening to music, purchasing computer equipment, messing with my mp3 player and sofware, playing computer games. Sometimes I'm doing all those things at once. It's a wonder that i can keep all the windows organized. Forunately, i dont have to do all the organizing myself. Virtual Desktop Manager (VDM) gives me a way to organize the work I'm doing, using up to four switchable desktops. VDM is part of the unsupported PowerToys collection from Microsoft that includes TeakUI, which is another "hack". Download VDM from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/products/windows powertows.asp and install it on your machine. Once you have installed VDM, you will not notice anthing new. You have to activate its toolbar before you can begin using it. To activate VDM, right-click on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen and select the Toolbars -> Desktop Manager. After you activate VDM, you will notice a new toolvar on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. To switch between desktops, press one of the numbered blue buttons. At first, the desktops will appear the same, because you havent done anything in them to make them unique. Click button 1 and then launch your web browser. Next, click button 2 and then open something else. Now click the green button and youll see that you have a full view of the desktops, and what is open in which. Now if you right click on the toolbar, threre are some options that come up, which lets you configure the desktop images and the shortcut keys. You can also check or uncheck, the animations, and to chose to share Desktops or not. Its up to you, just change things and play around with it. I hope it helped! I corrected the typo in the title of this thread (teaks -> tweaks)
