The man's intellectual prowess (or lack thereof) is actually an aside to the dialectic the puppeteers rig up every four years. Let's see, you have the choice of Republicrat or Demoncrat. Can you say, two sides of the same slippery coin? I found the Bush movie and comedy network bull especially telling. Note how the media focus on personalities as opposed to the issues! I could care less about the idiot in office, because the stuge is always a puppet, and if that puppet decides to pull his own strings, he ends up dead. Bush Jr. did NOT have some Christian revelation, nor was he ever the black sheep of the family. Nor did he have a pronounced drinking problem! Oh, the power of the media to control the masses is ever disturbing. They know the mass of idiots will relate to an idiot with a drinking problem, and so they created this personality so the public would tolerate Bush's outrageous policies. Oh yeah, papa Bush was CIA all the way. That's why I don't bother to criticize our current "president," often referred to as Mr. Big Ears, or, "also known as." That's because he has gone by several names and as of date, has yet to prove his US citizenship. No - you haven't heard it on the mainstream media. But our media routinely with-holds the truth. Put Obama under a microscope and you'd not like the results. But again, to focus on the personality is a waste of time. Look to the men pulling Obama's strings, and you'll find yourself in Bush company.

Which Way Do You Get Your House, Buy It Or Rent It?
Misanthrope replied to faund's topic in General Discussion
I bought my properties through a dogged determination to avoid paying someone else's mortgage, which is essentially what you do when "renting" a house or flat. In my adult existence I've rented once, and regretted it. It was a flat for $300 a month, and I could hear the tenant below me pissing in his bathroom. Talk about thin walls. The woman next door complained the one time I turned my stereo up, but I was forced to endure her opera "singing" night after night. Needless to say, I soon decided apartment life was no life at all. I paid $90,000 for my first house, lived there for ten years while the property literally doubled in value. But gone, I fear, are the days of real estate appreciation. The house was located in a desirable, suburban area near a lake, and only 14 miles from the city center. But it was also on city water and city services, which I came to understand was not desirable to freedom-minded folk. As long as you're paying someone else for basic services, you are in monetary bondage, and therefore, a slave. I was surrounded by nosy neighbors in clear view. I could hear their screaming brats, smell their cooking, sense their foul presence. I recall the time I attempted a simple bonfire in my backyard but an over zealous neighbor saw the need to call in the fire department. Freedom is not possible surrounded by such zombies. And so I set my sites on the country. With the monies I received from the sale of the urban property I had a sizable down payment for my current home which is on twenty, secluded acres in the middle of nowhere. The home itself is roughly 3600 square feet with white oak wood floors, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, a hot tub, two jetted tubs, built-in outdoor grill, three decks, and not a neighbor in sight. In other words, if you sell your home in the city, you get twice what you'd pay for in the city, and you lose the nosy neighbors. -
Despite the dissenters I have long known this patron saint of the Trapish realms for the tenacious soul he is, and am not at all surprised he has achieved his lofty goal. May our dear Saint Michael be an example for others seeking advanced degrees in the learned arts, and may his future efforts continue to provide inspirational fodder for Trapsters the world over. Long live the Saint! I shall sacrifice a bottle of rare Scotch in his honor (someone has to do it). Salute!

Now there's a man with a working sense of humor! I submit our illustrious charge start a forum on the topic despite the humble weed's illegal status. Where do I sign up, oh enlightened master of these Trapish realms? We are most fortunate to have your progressive mind at the helm. But back on topic, what manner of political tyrant declares a naturally growing herb illegal? The very thought is ludicrous! Taken to its logical extreme, a governmental entity could just as easily ban the air we breathe, the Pine trees, or......... (you fill in the blank). Where does it end? It wasn't that long ago the same tyrants banned alcohol. For some reason, truly dangerous substances (pharmaseuticals and other chemicals) remain legal. Fluoride, one of the most toxic chemicals known to man, is not only legal, but forcibly pushed on the masses via public water supplies and most convenience foods where water is an ingredient. Government-sponsored campaigns continue nation wide promoting this neurotoxin to a gullible, dumbed-downed public. Yet Im supposed to believe these fiends have my best interest at heart? The same fiends who routinely start wars around the globe, who bankrupt nations, who commit genocide against native peoples, who murder millions upon millions of innocent animals in factory farms? No, I don't need no stinkin' fiend telling me what's best for me. And neither do you. Remember, government is supposed to exist only to protect individual freedom, and when government steps beyond this parameter it is by default fascist. Arguing the potential dangers of the plant is ridiculous given anything can be harmful if used foolishly. Reminds me of the morons who say "the gun went off" instead of taking personal responsibility for their own immaturity or lack of discipline. Let's blame an inanimate object for our own stupidity, right? When some drug crazed idiot opens fire in the gym or stabs a class mate, I don't blame the knife, and I don't blame the drug he got high on before his rampage. Nor am I going to punish the vast majority who responsibly and regularly partake of these substances without incident. No - the problem is the idiot. Not the drug, not the object. Let's call by marijuana by it's true name, shall we? Hemp has a long and illustrious history in these United States, not withstanding our founding fathers who both grew and enjoyed the bountiful fruits of their labor. President Washington smoked the stuff, and frequently expounded on its benefits. Hemp, simply put, is a super substance, a super plant that could provide our population with food, energy, clothes, paper.the list is endless. There is little the plant cant be utilized for. And it grows like a weed requiring little care. But if I want to buy a hemp product, I can't do it here. No - I must purchase hemp products from Canada because our fascist government has banned the entire plant. A free country? Hardly. Hence the reason hemp is illegal in these United States. It is so versatile and cheap that the moneyed interests who keep the masses enslaved and indebted decided long ago the plants many virtues must be subdued. And what better way than to declare a war on drugs, and demonize this humble plant? Here is a rather weak analogy, but an analogy nonetheless: We have enough oil under states like Montana to sustain the nation for decades. The oil wells are already there! But they are under lock down and off limits to would be America drillers. Why? So the Powers that Be can make a killing off perpetuating peak oil myths. Thus maintaining their monopoly and inflated price tag off a limited supply. It all comes down to keeping the mass of people enslaved, and bringing America down to third world status. The sooner these mass of people wake up and understand their illegitimate governments are run by immoral entities, the sooner we can take back our lives, our land, and our plants.

Osama Bin Laden Is Dead: Pak President
Misanthrope replied to vineethmohan's topic in General Discussion
If you had any idea how often the compromised press propagated lies upon the masses, the Osamba bin-what's-his-name scam would come as no surprise. How many times can one person die on national television before the people start asking, "WTF?" How stupid do they think we are? Indeed, it wouldn't be the first time this usurped government has lied to it's constituents, the American People. Lying is their stock in trade - it's how they keep us enslaved. In case you're still in the dark, Mr. Bin Ladin has long been a CIA operative circa the Bush cartel. Wake up people. Everything you've been told by the government-controlled media is a lie. Turn off your TV and tune in to alternative radio if you're ready for the red pill: http://www.infowars.com/ -
For the time being I will refrain from unsettling the proverbial apple cart and not argue with the premise of this much parroted argument, as it is obviously a popular one. I was once a card carrying member of NPG (Negative Population Growth), but that was two decades ago and an embarrassing by-product of my impetuous youth..... long before I discovered who was actually promoting this anti-human agenda, which I shall expound upon later. For those who endorse this agenda, I ask: WHO will decide who is worthy to propagate? And by what criteria? These are questions I humbly submit for your consideration.

A Rather Vague Question On Vague Ethics
Misanthrope replied to salamangkero's topic in General Discussion
I appreciate the topic starter's irreverent and amusing insight on what most would perceive a mundane topic: the gym shower stall. I too find myself pondering such mysteries, though they usually involve scenarios of a more embarassing nature . In my sovereign mind the possibilities provide endless amusement sans the engineered trash madison avenue would fill my head with. Turn off the tv and tune in your head, I say. Why shouldn't our powers of awareness and philosophical insight extend to every aspect of our existence? We physically exist, after all, in the lower, mundane worlds, so it behooves us to approach these worlds from a state of full awareness, or at least as much we can muster. You've heard it before, but the unexamined life is simply not worth living. -
I couldn't have said it better, Oracle. I might add that when dogs aren't doing something disgusting, they are thinking about it. There is something so fine, so sublime, so ethereal about the cat, that even when this lofty creature engages in the "lower" activities we often associate with canines, it maintains it's dignity and exists that litter box as unsullied as when it entered. Contrast this visual with your average dog, who before evacuating his bowels on your manicured lawn (without so much as covering the mess), shoves his wet snout up your nether regions whilst tracking all manner of filth across your freshly mopped floor. Oh, and let's not forget how this animal greets your important dinner guests: snout in crotch. How rude! My experience has been that dogs take on on the personality of their people. Hence the rude behavior. Rude owner = rude dog. Thank God cats maintain their individuality, otherwise they'd be as course as your average biped. The most disgusting human being will never sully the regal feline. Can there be any question which animal has earned more elevated status in the eyes of the gods? A lion stands guard at gates of the heavens, not a crotch-sniffing dog.

Most versed in the finer points of arcane wisdom would strenuously advise against opening this pandora's box, and the Enlightened Misanthrope is no exception. When you toy with a ouija board you are literally inviting all manner of disembodied parasites to feed off your vital bodies, and tell you ridiculous lies in the process. And yet it remains a rite of passage for spiritually curious youth. Unfortunately, the lying entities summoned can linger long past their invitation. Many a Catholic priest has been enlisted to exorcise these disembodied entities from such youth, and can attest to the board's danger. Not every human soul ascends or reincarnates after physical death, you see. Some, for various reasons, devolve to lower life forms, or simply remain stagnant in this dimension because they remain terminally attached to the mundane. These shadow entities are waiting for an opening - any chance to return to physical form. And your form will do just fine. When you use a ouiji board you give these spiritual scum cart blanche to enter your dimension. Would you slit your arm open to invite the mosquitos to feed off your blood? Would you bare your neck open to the Vampire? I didn't think so. There are far superior methods of evolving your soul. Leave the ouija board to the amateur.

Do You Believe In Astrology? The Personality part or The Futeure
Misanthrope replied to Wynter's topic in Health & Fitness
Do I "believe" in Astrology? At risk of coming off defiant (as opposed to ), I humbly submit it doesn't matter what I believe. The laws of the universe operate with our without my belief in their holy agenda. The sun sets and rises according to natural law long since set in motion. The winter brings it's inevitable snows, the spring it's iris, the fall it's autumn colors.....weather or not I believe in their glorious splendor is irrelevant. When the soul descends to this dimension (human OR animal), the planets and their respective energies leave an impression - an imprint, if you will. Some would call this imprint, "personality." It is what makes us unique. This astral imprint remains with you during your stay in this physical body, which of course calls into question the mystery of free will. How free are we given this "imprint?" Perhaps it's our uniquely human ability to recognize and curtail these influences that develops the individual divinity within. Understand the generic horoscopes one finds in mainstream newspapers do a great injustice to the science of Astrology. I would go so far to say they bastardize an art utilized by kings of old and not so old. -
I Hate Doctors! They have no clue what they are doing sometimes
Misanthrope replied to BuBBaG's topic in The Vent
Did you know medical doctors in the United States are responsible for more deaths than car accidents? This is not my opinion - it is fact. Were it not for the blind faith some are so comfortable with, the white coat would easily steal away the lawyer's most hated professional status. The white coat takes the Hippocratic oath to ?do no harm? upon graduating from medical school, but often prestige and the almighty dollar are his true motivation. Unfortunately, many practioners I?ve had the displeasure of interacting with fall incredibly short of the philosophy of providing quality, caring service to their patients. Then there's the inhuman schedule they must endure as interns. They are taught early on the patient is the "enemy," and to churn out as many patients as possible within the shortest time frame. This sentiment is echoed by MD's the likes of Dr. Rebecca Carlie who have left the profession for this very reason.Personally, I avoid the medical establishment like the plague and strive to maintain enough health to keep me out of their wretched clutches. I don?t need their stinkin? vaccines or relentless drug-pushing. Ever notice how many people suddenly come down with the flu after getting their flu shots? Or how many people end up with pneumonia, staff infection, or worse after being admitted to the dreaded hospital? This is not to say the MD doesn't have his place. He is without equal in the realm of trauma treatment. Naturopathic doctors are another story entirely, as they make a conscious decision to pursue a medical career that actually values the individual. The mainstream doctor usually takes a ?one size fits all? stance that often ends in lethal results for the patient. I imagine most everyone has a horror story to this end, and I am no exception. When time allows, I will tell you what they did to my poor uncle and my own mother, bless their souls. -
Tv Or Internet Where do you get your info from
Misanthrope replied to Echo_of_thunder's topic in General Discussion
Television is an antiquated dinosaur, a thing of the past (oops, was I redundant?) as far as the diminished role it plays in my life. I simply dont have the time or patience for the dumbed-down trash the media whores so enjoy pushing on Joe Six-pack and his gullible ilk. One thing Ive noticed is the longer I avoid it the more offensive I find it upon turning it on again. Try it yourself sometime. Turn the stupid thing off for a week and enjoy the uncensored freedom of the Internet and the written word. When you turn it back on, you too may find yourself disgusted by how far the medium managed to degenerate in the span of one week. This highly regulated venue of propaganda is tightly censored and controlled by a mere handful of powerful entities with specific agendas, so it is no wonder the content appears similar regardless of station. Three hundred stations of *BLEEP*, I say. Even the so-called "history" channel plies propaganda. Internet, on the other hand, has proven itself to be a true bastion of our beloved constitutions First Amendment, a true democratic venue of free thought. But the free speech that attracts many of us to the Internet is under attack. If you value your current freedom to visit the sites you want and create the content you want to the audience you want to attract, consider educating yourself on the many efforts being taken to undermine your internet. This is a good place to start: http://www.savetheinternet.com/sti-home Were it not for the efforts of watchdog groups like the above our net neutrality would have long been lost by now. -
3 Years At Trap 17 Where has the time gone?
Misanthrope replied to Mich's topic in Web Hosting Support
My Dear Lady,I had no idea your benevolent presence had graced the cyber-pages of Xisto for three and some score years! Nor had I any knowledge of your "evil group" pedigree. How, I wonder, could this omission have escaped us all these long, long years? Oh, the indignity of it all! If someone less technically challenged than I will kindly post the code for inclusion of your name, I for one will readily amend my signature to include your worthy title. That said, may the name "Mich" ring loud and clear through the lofty chambers of Xisto's cyber-halls. And let us all lift our goblets in collective cheer to our Lady of Xisto. -
I Hate The State Of Mainstream Music Mainly Hip Hop.
Misanthrope replied to PSTUBb's topic in The Vent
Excellent submission, topic starter. It is the rare individual who steps outside the mainstream to question, let alone criticize, the matrix that enslaves the masses. Music, among other forms of media, is an integral part of "conditioning" youth to adopt the culture of the moment, whatever it happens to be. Sadly, the majority readily adapt to shifts in culture (music, fashion), as advertising genius is well aware. Don't you find it curious how one style of music - so popular with the masses, can be suddenly usurped by another? The masses didn't ask for Hip Hop. Yet, when it was cleverly introduced, they readily adopted the new culture - all the way down to their ridiculous baggy pants and exposed britches. Whenever you see something on a mass scale like this happen simultaneously across the country, you know it's being orchestrated by a very clever puppeteer. Art does not always imitate life. In fact, art is no longer allowed to imitate life. Try getting anything that doesn't fit into the approved mold of mainstream media on the air and see what happens. I was quite happy with the hair bands of the 80's, but someone on high decided that all radio stations, all across the country, would stop playing their tunes in favor of Hip Hop and grunge garbage. I don't recall asking for this trash, yet it was forced upon me by my "betters." They know what's best for me, after all. And what's best for me, apparently - is embracing the knuckle dragging filth currently impersonating musicians. In the 60's, the culture creators of Madison Avenue promoted hippie bands during their initial stages of destroying the nuclear family that has been the backbone of our great nation. Actually, this agenda is much older, but for now we will concern ourselves with recent history. The culture creators are all but successful in their endeavor, so now they focus on compromising the young with "entertainment" that resonates with only the most degenerate of life forms. I hesitate to call them human. And the thinking man is who doesn't buy into the filth is immediately labeled a racist elitist by the well-conditioned drone. Quite the scam they've got going. Do yourself a favor: Turn off the mainstream crap that's turning others into drones in favor of independent internet radio. -
The topic starter raises an issue that dare not be ignored by Trap 17 readers. "Global warming," as put forth by the Al Gore sheisters of the world is a comical FARCE in our face every time we turn on that infernal boob tube or pick up a mainstream newspaper. Guess what? Both forms of dissemination are owned and operated by the right arm of our illegitimate government. Yes, the legitimate government our founding fathers instituted in earnest has long been usurped by traitors, as Jackson would have it; traitors like the forementioned who would willingly sacrifice self and country for similar deceptions. And make no mistake, "Global Warming" is a sham, a LIE. Thank you, topic starter, for bringing this scam to our attention! I, for one, have long since taken issue with the bogus science. Watch where this pseudo science takes us, dear reader. Soon, the Al Gores of this world will tax you for every breath you take, every crap you take - all in the name of "Global Warming" and "Carbon Credits." Speaking of Al Gore, let's not forget this individual profited greatly by the 9-11 tragedy, and continues to travel by private jet. So much for curtailing personal "carbon credits."

Here here, Triple X. I always find it amusing that the folks who tout their "tolerant" outlook tend to be the least tolerant of all. No one dictates what works best for my personal constitution. I choose not to smoke, but only as a Sovereign Individual, not as a ward of the State. If I decide to take up smoking the dictates of the State will not influence me. Indeed, their philosophy borders on fascism. The decision to smoke is a personal one, and best left to the individual, not some useless drone speaking on behalf of the State's current agenda. Remember, it wasn't that long ago the State emphatically encouraged and romanticized smoking, through it's various media outlets - especially it's side kick: Hollywood. Nary a Hollywhore star could be seen without a cig hanging out of his mouth. Can anyone tell me the State didn't know nicotine was a carcinogen while they promoted it way-back-when in their ****-infested movies? The potential toxicity of nicotine has been well documented since the turn of the century, yet the Powers That Be sexualized smoking, knowing full well the sheep would fall victim. And now the same elite who pushed smoking on you are now telling you to stop. Don't any of you question why? Obviously, your culture is being created by someone other than you. Doesn't that bother you? I cannot speak for the topic starter, not knowing his mind. But the fact remains the State and it's Madison Avenue flunkies have waged war on the smoker. Why? Because the smoker is an easy target the mass of people will readily vilify. If you do not stand up now and defend the smokers right to smoke, you soon will be targeted for the things you have every right to enjoy.

A Day I Wanna Forget Why it always happends to me
Misanthrope replied to Echo_of_thunder's topic in The Vent
What ever happened to "the customer is king" ethic? I fear it has gone the way of American morals - straight down the gutter into that infernal abyss of Hades. I am currently living in a hotel that prides itself on customer service, but that service is sliding down that infamous slippery slope to mediocrity. Doesn't business understand how much they lose in the long run by shorting their customers? To illustrate, Starbucks coffee is nothing to write home about, but they have made a name for themselves by treating customer as king, and have managed to stay afloat this sinking economy by staying true to this ethic. Granted, this analogy is short of perfect, but I'm sure most get the jest. Dear Echo, if you are a military veteran, lets look into finding you a resource who might advocate on your behalf so this travesty doesn't happen again. -
Who the hell doesn't? The problems inherent in our "education" system are many. Students are given authorized information to memorize, and are awarded grades based on how well they parrot back that information to their tormentors. And I never cared for the socialization that forces students into contrived modes of behavior, either. But here's the stone-cold reality: people with degrees generally earn more than their counterparts. They live longer, eat healthier, and enjoy a higher standard of living. So go ahead and get your degree(s). In the process of memorizing all that "authorized" information, you eventually learn how to think things through, and how to question preconceived dogma. In other words, you have a better chance of becoming truly unique and human through your acquisition of knowledge. For those burnt out on the Public Fool system, consider enrolling in a Jesuit University. There, you will learn how to think - whether you like it or not.

World's Ugliest Website I believe I have found it
Misanthrope replied to BooZker's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Dear God man! This is almost as bad as my website. I think the site's webmaster is trying to put viewers into either epileptic shock or zombie-like stupor. Or both. The easier to reel them in. Thanks for sharing this hideous image. It will take years to undo the damage this site has done to our collective psyche! LOL -
Hehe, you're an expert compared to me. But no worries, baniboy. I was just foolin' about regarding my website. Still, I wouldn't mind a banner if you happen to have the time and inclination. As you can see, my current sig is just text (vivianbritton.com / think dangerously). Should the creative spark hit you, I'm fond of the cool color schemes (blue, black, silver).

I never failed to be horrified at this misguided notion a Catholic is not also a Christian. It is one the Enlightened Misanthrope has repeatedly heard espoused by Protestant denominations, blatantly ignorant of their own faith's origins. Here's a quick newsflash for uneducated readers: If you're Catholic, you are out of necessity, Christian. One does not exist without the other. And contrary to popular belief, Catholics do not sacrifice new-born-babes to Satan, nor do they drink blood out of black goblets while fornicating on black alters adorned with inverted crosses. They do, however, drink red wine out of goblets, which I'm about to do right now...
-
Without the benefit of reading the entire thread, allow me to quickly interject a random thought on the matter: Nature abhors a vacuum. When you remove a core system the mass of people have been raised to believe in, you must, out of necessity, replace it with another - or so Machiavelli's, "The Prince" would have it. Read this work if you want an inside track on how the elite form the sheep's culture and opinion to their own end. One need look no further than the recent example of Communist China to see the outcome. That is, the State makes God (as we know him) illegal and replaces him with, well, the State. In the meantime, mass genocide on a scale FAR surpassing the over-hyped German holocaust occurs. I believe the State is currently creating a new-world ethic based on the "green" movement (aka, environmentalism) to provide a gap between traditional religion and the new fascism they have in mind for the mass of slaves that make up the bulk of society. Those willing to espouse traditional religion in favor of The State would be well advised to study their history. Understand I am not arguing for or against religion per se. I merely point out the naive folly inherent in Utopian idealism. I submit once we get past personal ideological bias and recognize the fallen nature of man, the truth is painfully obvious.
-
My thoughts on the subject in no way coincide with the many "experts" who routinely change their stance on the matter. Have you noticed how Madison Avenue's propaganda changes month by month, year by year? They have their agenda, I have mine. I prefer my agenda, as it actually benefits me and not some greedy bio-tech firm. Several years ago, the "experts" told us women were not to induldge in the fruit of the vine. Wine was harmful for women, they said. A year later, they said one drink was ok. Two years later, two drinks are considered a very good thing for the fairer sex. I tend to make up my own mind based on what has worked in traditional societies, and what works for my individual constitution. I personally imbibe on a daily basis for both health and residual benefit. Ok, I enjoy the stimulating buzz as well, and it's stirring of the creative juices - but aren't these also a boon to emotional heath and well being? Of course they are! We must get past this peculiar American (protestant) demonization of naturally occurring elements that can enhance and promote human potential. Any element can be abused, but why should I be punished because some idiot never learned how to handle the stuff? This whole, "getting drunk" to get drunk phenomenon is also peculiar to American society, as some of us weren't fortunate enough to have been raised Catholic, where wine is actually included in the sacrament itself and introduced to children at the dinner table. I say, to hell with provincial amateurs who can't handle their drink. They give the urbane professional a bad name. Still, they are only seeking out an experience integral to human potential they were denied as youngsters by their well meaning, but misguided parents. If the reader of this post decides for some reason to procreate, please introduce your child to wine at the table at a young age, lest he become one of the unfortunate statistics spoken of by the topic-starter. I suggest a fine work entitled, "Nourishing Traditions," wherein the author outlines humanity's historical relationship with alcohol, both as a food preservative, drink, and tonic - and why societies have traditionally fermented their beverages for ease of digestion and ultimate health benefit. There are also titles detailing why humans (and animals) will naturally seek out plants and tonics that alter their awareness (i.e, gets them "high"), but that is fodder for another topic....
