Your Fav Day Of The Week? Why? self explanatory
adriantc replied to BeyondEarth's topic in General Discussion
For me the best day of the week would be Friday... Why? Because Friday marks the beginning of the "holy" weekend, those 2 free days we have all dreamed about all week. 2 days of not going to school, doing homework or beeing pushed around by the boss. Of course Friday you are very tired, but you feel quite refreshed thinking of what is next.On the other hand there is Sunday evening and mid Wednesday. First of all Sunday because it's the day that marks the end of the weekend and the returning to our jobs or schools. Sunday evening you start to regret the fact that there aren't anymore weekend days. Mid Wednesday because it's half of the working days. You remember you worked had till now and you are tired, but you also fell sorry that there are 2 more days in hell. But of course nothing beats a Monday morning after a three months holiday. You wake up in the morning and you remember that it's the first day of school and for the first day in three months you won't be a cauch potatoe watching discovery channel (specially myth busters-- great show by the way) or playing those great computer games. That's over... You remember that today you have to go to school, you start having homework to do... and this is how you enter in denial state. At least that's my opinion... -
I don't know what you understood, but I wasn't refering to a free script but i was refering to someone that has a computer open all day and doing autosurfing for you in exchange for a part of your earnings. There is no free script involved... Notice from BuffaloHELP: Edited as requested. The QUOTE button is working just fine. Make sure you double check your post by PREVIEWING your post before submitting.

The really bad thing about this situation is that the USA as the most powerful country of the world has a ver very big influence nasty on global economy. I'll take two major natural disasters and compare their efects on global economy. So I am thinking about last december's tsunami waves (in my opinion a much larger disaster, but affecting some less developed countries) in comparison with the devastation of katrina. Well first of all victims... close to 200,000 in the tsunami waves and only 10,000 in the usa. A much larger surface was affected by last decembers waves still when the waves hit last year the gas price didn't go up so fast of so much. I remember they were speaking about 50$/gallon. What does that mean? That the USA controls pretty much everything... disasters keep happening at an incredible rate (global warming rings a bell) but the sad thing is that only when it affects USA it turns into a global problem. The gas price are in my non-expert opinion only the beginning... the price of the dollar is going DOWN way DOWN. I can't even imagine where it is going to stop... It will be great for the USA because they will make some money on the back of the rest of the world after the disaster it faced. Of course the rest of the world also compensated for the war in Iraq and I haven't saw Romania or any other country wining something out of it except of course Bush's close friends which really needed that gas pipes...Well it seams I ended up talking about the war...I'm sorry because those billions of $ that Bush has spent on a pointless war would have really made a difference for us or the poor guys in Africa which die daily from hunger and specially for those in the tsunami waves and New Orleans. Every american should be blamed for voting Bush...

Since I have signup to PTP I have received 2 E-Gold payments with a total of over 35$. Of course like all money making programs they had some difficult time in the summer month, but it seems it has passed. So ypu'll wonder what is PTP? At first it looks like any other get paid to put ads on your website. But there is a catch... They don't count unique hits, they count visits (5 minutes apart) and above all you are allowed to receive visitors from autosurf programs and get paid to surf programs (that will also make you aditional money). So what do you have to do to earn some decent money at PTP? You just have to signup and have a small, fast loading website with some contest on it. It would be best if you could find one of those free low quality hosting company that gives you unlimited bandwith. After you have a website with the PTP ads on it you just have to sinup to as many autosurf websites as possible (as your computer can handle) and start sending visitors to your website. If you would like to know the CPM --- 0.11$/1000 visitors. But of course you could make it much more better (even triple that figure) if you get hi-quality traffic like unique visitors or US visitors. So happy earning to you! My tutorial website with all kind of info about PTP is: My PTP Webpage

Review My Website; Pls help me with some advices..
adriantc replied to kitty's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well i'm not a professional website critic like some guys from here which have a lot more experience the I do, but I can tell you what my non-critic eyes see.First of all the introduction is cool, but it kind of makes you forget that you have to go to the website. You look at it and then you look at it again. Not to mention the fact that the ideea of clicking on the animation is not such a common ideea and for someone new it would be very hard to realize that he has to clcik the animation in order to gte to the website.Second would be the site background... the color is nice and the full picture is nice too. What I think is not nice is the fact that you can see that the images are put together and you realize that is not a full picture but a picture duplicated a few times. There would be other things I don't like but that I things that are special for me so I think it would not apply to someone else.If it were to give a mark to your website i'd day 8-8,5/10. Anyway the introduction is great and with a liitle more work it will be a masterpiece. -
You are right! But that is usually because the old stuff were less mass produced so they could easily check the quality. These days they produce so much there is no way they can check even half of their hardware before it leaves the factory. Not to mention the fact that old stuff are very reliable before new stuff tend to push technology to it's limit and sometimes over the limit.

Today, just 2 weeks before my planed total system upgrade my video card finally died (more of a coma if you ask me). Of course it was an AGP one and my planed one would be PCIx, but I also planned to sell it not for a few $. But as it seems fate has other planes for me. I'm now running on a nvidia riva tnt2 32mb. I don't want to make any negative publicity for the company but I thought Leadtek is one of the top companies.Anyway this wouldn't hate the hardware part so much if it weren't the second time a componet dies when you need it more. Last year my PC kept restarting and first I thought it was my HDD because it was a very old one. So I bought a new one. Everything worked great except for the fact that the PC still kept restarting. Anyway I finaly managed to fix the broken part and no PC restarts...but i'm a very very very lucky guy and my new HDD started having problems. If i installed Windows today, exactly the second time I rebooted the pc tomorrow it would give me a critical windows error and a full system crush. At fisrt I didn't realize what it was because I didn't even think that is was my new HDD because it was new. I finally took it to the warranty and after a week those guys said the hdd was fine. Same thing happened at home.... Took it again to the warranty (I was so freaked they won't accept the warranty I even emailed the company that produced the hdd) and I told the guys the hdd had the same problem and that i have taled with the hdd manufactor and that they said they would accept the warranty directly (that was my plan . So after a month since I took my hdd for the second time to the warranty they finnaly admited the hdd had bad sectors.By now of course my mother was so angry at my because the hdd was expensive and i had this trouble. So today I'm going to take my video card to the warranty office! I can only hope that history doen't repeat it self...Wish me good luck. I just hate the unreliable hardware

This moments will really show what Buch is made of... because till now he didn't do anything right...he was more into starting a new war, invading a new country, giving terrorists resons for blowing themselfs up. Now the Americans will miss those billion $ which were spent on war. As usual everybody will have to suffer more or less thanks to mister Bush. I live in a country in the eastern europe and i can feel the economical side of the problem. In just a week the dollar fell a lot in my country and it will probably stay there until America recovers. Of course a small dollar means cheaper import stuff but for the export a more powerfull national currency is a disaster.Oh well Bush is not entirely to blame, also Mother Nature has it's part in the problem. As for the oil prices-I guess we will have to travel less

I personally don't want to play another GTA because they have gone to far with the series just for the money. "Everything that has a beginning has an end". GTA had its share of glory. Like all huge games only one will remain in history. I'm not saying that GTA x wouldn't be good, but after a number of games with the same story it really becomes boring with a major B. Let me give you an example: Star Wars fans would like to see Lucas making Star Wars Episode 3854, but I sure that he will not pass the ep. 10 without people loosing interest. It is the nature of things... some have understood that... Doom 3 was good but nothing can beat the original... only the original Doom will remain as the legend. Thats why I won't play any other GTA...

I think you are just beeing mean...Why? Because the war in Iraq was not under UN supervision, in other words it was just an act of revenge which costs, not only the lives of the soldiers in Iraq, but the lives of people that died in terrorist atacks in Madrid and London and for what???... so Bush could stay another 4 years as president. In the moments of crisis like the one in New Orleans where is Bush, where are the billions of $ he spent for the war effor not to mention where is the equality between races. So what has America gained for the war in Iraq...Nothing-only death and billions of dollars lost that could have made a big difference now

I don't belive that much in God, but I do belive in science. This beeing said I do belive in some kind of End of The World, but not the Bible style End of the World. The End Of The World I see comes from what menkind does (see nuclear bombs, global worming, 3rd World War). For example during the Cold War we (as menkind) were half an hour away from doomsday. And not by the power of God, but by the power of the atom. The End as I see it is the result of menkinds greed...But lets not forget that extincting is just the fresh start of a new life. The dinosaurs extinction was just the first step in menkinds rise to power. The question is: if the dinosaurs wouldn't have gone extinct would the *person* sapiens of the cave stood a chance agains a bigger, better (if that is possible) version of T-Rex the killing machine. Of course not. So you see, to some point extinction is, as death is, a normal part of live, a link in the evolutionary chain.

Have You Ever Seen A Ufo? I would like to know
adriantc replied to wild20's topic in General Discussion
I'm not extremly sure that what I saw was an UFO, but it defenetly didn't look like any kind of airplane. The observation took place 2 years ago when I was taking a trip in France. I was in Normandy, near Utah Beach, in a castle called mount saint michael (Click HERE for more info). I remember it was the national day of france. I was playing with a friends video camera and filming the top of the church which was lighted beautiful. As I was filming I have noticed a light (very similar to a plane, except for the flickering lights). I zoomed as much as I could (800x or 900x i can't remember exactly) and I saw it was round shaped (or at least thats what it looked from the distance) and it was a little bit faster then a normal comercial plane. Till now i'm sure you would think it was a plane, but a strange thing happened next. It speeded up instantly, most then twice its last speed and took a very, very, very sharp 90 degrees turn (when i say sharp i mean instantly). It went with this speed for 30-40 second and then I couldn't see it anymore (maybe I just lost it or it got to far to be seen???). Well this is my experience and I even got it on tape, but the tape is at my friend which I haven't seen for more then an year. I should tell you this because it is very important (and I think it is a question that must be put to every UFO eyewitness)... I really belived in UFO even before this incident. Why it is so important? Because it changes the way you look at the incident. For example the best way to view an UFO related even is throught the eyes of a "don't care" person because he doesn't label the incident so fast as a beliver or a non-beliver. -
Of course I have heard. I even have it on my mobile phone. It's really funny...

I personally don't see any real application (for me) for this feature. But, of course, this kind of features and upgrades are the result of competition between google (gmail) and yahoo. Even thought this feature has no real application it's aim is clearly visible... for the people that use both services and/or other free email services this feature will surely make a difference; people will turn to gmail as their default free email provider.

By the way... I have heard that there are people who know the lat and long of Aria 51 and I was interested if there is anything to be seen. Please PM if you have the long and lat. Thanks

Yes, 80, 000, 000 that is 80 million downloads, quite alot in terms of people who started to switch to firefox, but I've heard many people don't use firefox as the default browsers except those developers and web-designers and technically sound people. Many users don't want to bother the plug-ins that has to be installed all over again after firefox is being used, besides when internet explorer is automatically installed with the operating system itself, it is hard to beat microsoft. In fact, eighty million users is not quite alot in terms of net users around the world. However, I would like firefox to keep this momentum and give a very stiff competition to microsoft internet explorer and other browsers. Firefox should learn from how Microsoft was forced to create a special version of Windows Xp without Windows Media Player. Maybe the same thing could happen to Internet Explorer so the other browsers could stand a better chance of getting a bigger slice of the market.

Of course that isn't the greatest news of them all, but if you start thinking about what NASA spends to send it's astronauts to space you'll see that travelling to space becomes cheaper. We all would have wanted to go to space, but remember that it has only passed 40 years since (not so sure about that... still a debate on that conspiracy theory) man landed on the moon. I have heard somewhere that NASA must pay a 10.000 or a 100.000 $ per kg they send into space so 200.000$ for a trip (to space AND back) isn't that much. Anyway I think in 10 years that price will go down...You know the americans had in the '80 a good (and very much possible) project for building a base on the moon...but with the Cold War ending the senators of the USA weren't interested. Of course menkind was half an hour away for doomsday, but you have to admit that it really helped to make those senators think about sending men to space and beyond. Now, with the Cold War over we have other concerns like the (joke called) "War agains terrorism" and how to send billions of $ on a war with no real purpose. Just think where menkind would be today if the Cold War lasted 20 or 30 years more... bases on the moon, landing on Mars... It is true that war means, besides lots of hate, suffering and millions of victims, very fast progress; almoust all inventions had when first designed some kind of military purpose. So, don't worry. In a few hundred years the planet will become very crowded and one way or another they will have to send some funds to space research. Personally didn't even dream about going to space, but I hope that my children will...

Regarding the seaside problem with the dirty beaches and water. You are not the only one... The water in the Black Sea is well... black.... thanx to the tourists and to the nature which brings to the shore a lot of plants. Can't say the same thing about the beach where it totaly the tourists fault. I can tell you that my seaside if extremly expensive for its low quality services (read bad hotel rooms, food...). At least the women are fine (everybody would say the same thing for patriotic reasons, but the women from my country are really beautiful, but when it comes to brain they are all blond )

I was wondering what is your favourite spot for spending your summer holidays???I live in Romania (Nord-East Europe) and I have both options: seaside or mountain-side. Of course (for those of your how are young, including me) there is the third option: countryside.Well, since outside is very hot most of you will choose the seaside. Nice beach with fine sand, clean (but not cold) water, (and what all boys like) those topless women (for the boys). Ok...maybe for boys the least reson would be the most convincing for choosing the seaside... :)But why would I choose the mountain-side? If my country would have some mountains over 4000m and I would know how to sky I would choose the mountain-side. Even without those the clean air will make you fell great. As for the last option... I could choose the countryside if: 1. I would be that 10 year old boy that used to play football until it would be dark enough to not see the ball.2. I would have a computer and an internet connection. So what would you choose...Seaside, MountainSide or the CountrySide?Cast your opinions...

London Bombings Aftermath ...two people murdered...
adriantc replied to brainless's topic in General Discussion
By beeing afraid and over protective we give those terrorists satisfaction. Once we are afraid their mission is compleate. Because we have to realise that their ultimate objective is not to kill as much people as they can, but to inspire as much fear as they can. If people start to panic and not do their daily routines it means that the terrorists have won. The aftermath of london bombings just gives them satisfaction because the guverment is afraid and the police is shooting everybody up.A few days ago I noticed on Yahoo News that the Patriotic Act has been made active for an unlimited period of time. That means taping (dont know if this is the spelling) the phones, reading the medical hestory, even you library history (?!?). As more and more freedoms are destroyed the terrorist came closer to their final goal. -
Maybe if they can change the name Microsoft thay will have a success with the new Windows. As we were used since the release of Windows Xp the new Windows will probably have more bugs and Microsoft will implement some new tracking software to lower our privacy. Of course we should not forget the price which, of course, will get higher and quality lower. Sorry I forgot to mention the hardware requirements which will be the "strong" point or Windows Vista (codename: Longhorn). I have personaly seen Windows working on 400Mhz CPU, but the beta of Longhorn is working like (sorry for the expression) a crap on my 1700+ AMD Athlon CPU.I can only hope that Linux will change a few things here and there so it can make an impact on desktop. That day will be the beginning of the end for Microsoft and Windows. As always: LONG LIVE OPEN SOURCE!PS: Got to admit that Windows Vista (Longhorn) does look great...

I just received an email today from Studiotraffic saying that their reserve have now reached 1.000.000$ thanks to their most profitable investment: StudioPay. It's clear to me (it's also written in the email) that they are trying to stop those rumors that say: "StudioTraffic its near to it's doom". I don't belive such rumors and I hope that StudioTraffic is going to "live long and prosper".

Another London Bombing Similar to the bombings that killed 56

I read your evidence canpolitics and a part of it might be true, but there is still much things that they don't even talk about... like why did the FBI confiscated some photos and security camera videos?!? -
