I'm sorry to see that the UE is not that united...grim days are coming...

I'm from Romania and in 2007 we should be a part of UE. With France rejecting the Constitution that becomes a problem... It doesn't seem fair to me that they judge the UE Constitution by the way their guverment deals with internal problems. I think this is a huge stap back for UE and I can only hope that they will make another referendum (hope I spelled it right). It would be great to have an UE balancing the power of the USA (at this time USA do whatever they want in the world...for detailes see the war in Iraq)

I am a strong beliver in the evolution theory. I really belive in science more then in God. You will wonder why... For one thing the evolution theory is probably right. It's not that hard to imagine a human as a better monkey since only 2% of our genetic material is different. Not to mention that the proofs cannot be denied. I take it for granted...I never saw God stoping an earthquake or decembers tsumani waves. You'll say that was a punishment ... but what was the guilt of a kid who died in that horrible day in december. Everybody has a pet. I have a turtle and I care for it and i don't like it suffering. So why is He making us suffer. We are, as the Bible sais "His children" ... so why does he let us suffer. A kids mother and father would make anything for their kid

It's about 6 months since I saw "The End of Extinction: Cloning the Tasmanian Tiger" documentary on Discovery Channel... and today, don't now why, I started searching on Google to see if they done any progress with the DNA. It seems they didn't do anything new but as I searched I ended up on some sites that were discussing if cloning the tasmanian tiger is a moral thing. In my opinion it is very moral to do so since "thanks" to us it's extinct in the first place. Others say that we shouldn't play God. Yet we do that every day... when a doctor saves a person from death. Like the nuclear bomb cloning has a lot of potential, hoping that menkind has the power to use it wisely (see The Cuban Missile Crisis for details).In the end I really hope they can bring this animal back to life. It is our duty to make it happen. If I had some money to spare I would have donated them for this great cause.So what do you think?

My country had a communist regime until december 1989 and nobody really seen Star Wars before that. I remember I used to go to with my father, I think it was 1994-1995, to see the first trilogy every Saturday at 9:00 am (you wonder why... the tickets where cheaper then... ). I was very impressed by that movie when I was a kid. But now after the The Phantom Manace and the Attack of The Clones i'm not that impressed. Maybe because there is a very big gap between the 2 trilogys. (If you saw the Matrix trilogy you will know what i mean... the second movie was still running in some parts of the world and they lunched the third one).Anyway I'm looking forword to see Revenge of the Sith. I will probably go somewhere next week. I'll wait to see was the local public has to say... Here is still 19 and the official lunch is due for 21:45 p.m. About the trailer: I would give it 9,25 out of 10.

My first mobile phone was a Sagem MyX-2, which I can say it was pretty good for my needs. A month ago I bought a new mobile phone Sagem MyX-5-2. I like it very much. Of course it is far from beeing the best but it good enought for me. Still I regret a little that I haven't bought SE k500i . You will wonder why have i chosen Sagem.1. It had a price more then fair. I mean 115$ for a mobile phone with camera isn't that much2. I was used to Sagem and i didn't have any problem with the older one... so even if Sagem isn't the leader on the market it makes great phones.

Until May last year I used to have a dial-up connection but now I have cable (256 kbps). And the problem is not only the speed but you have to dial at certain hours because you'll have a shock when the telephone bill arrives. I used to spend a few hours a night surfing or witing for some music to be downloaded. The movies whre excluded from the start. Even now with the cable connection I can't say I'm totaly happy because it takes around 7 hours for a CD to be dowloaded. That is still a lot...

I have applyed to Google Adsense since February and they accepted me. Of course your website must be in english or in any other supported language and shouldn't be a blog website since they reject those.So what is Google Adsense? A service that delivers targeted comercials to your website. Why is Google Adsense better?1. The ads are targeted. A spider detects the keywords on your website and displays the advertisments. The targeted ads has a better hit/impression rate.2. Google Adsense has (mainly) fast loading text ads and rarely image ads.3. Even if they pay per click some clicks can give you a few $.The only downside I can see is that their minimum payout is 100$ which is too much for me.

Of course pop-ups are bad but so is TV advertising or any other form of advertising. For example, any TV station (excluding HBO because you have to pay for it) lives out from their comercials. You won't see a good movie without comercials... Why? Because the TV station has to buy that movie and the only way they can get the money back is to insert comercials into the movie.The same thing happens with a website. The webmaster has to live somehow...I'd be more then happy to see a free software download website with pop-ups then a paid software website without pop-ups. So as long as the popups are not really very anoying I can live with them but when they start to load 2 or 3 at the same time....

A few days ago Yahoo changed the famous "250MB (1GB coming soon)" to "1 GB of email storage". That would be great if it would be true... I should tell you I'm not a very big fan of Gmail or Yahoo. So I have 2 accounts at Yahoo: one is mine and it is 3 years old and the second is my mother's and it has 3 months. My account was upgraded long before the official annoncement but my mother's still has "only" 250mb. I really don't care about how much space they give since I don't use more then 10mb but the problem is why they lie

My favourite books are "The Fundation" by Isaac Asimov and "1984" by George Orwell. Why? I just like SF a lot...I like everything that is releated to SF. Some could say 1984 is not SF. Well there is nothing new in that. My old english teacher has a few cats and she trained them to use the toilet...i mean not flush (don't know if this is the spelling) but to go to the toilet when they had the need. I don't really think she used some special training or something...Anyway I think it's a normal thing that people should train their cats and dogs to use the toilet since you don't want ...you know what... on you beautiful carpet!

At first was Internet Explorer vx.x. But then I got smarter and used Opera (I still use it a little bit). And after that it was time for a new change and Firefox came. I wonder what's the next step?

In the country a new version of this virus appeared. We have a very low quality kind of music (gypsy music) --- and when i say very low... i mean very very very, etc. low... you'd shoot yourself after just 10 min of listening. So the virus detects this kind of mp3 and deletes them... personally i'd give a reward to the one that created it!

I think Gmail doesn't actualy have 2+GB for every account. They only have 100 or 200 mb because thay know nobody will use them. It's just for marketing. I don't even use more then 10mb...how can i get to 1 GB. Maybe if i won't delete my emails for the next 50 years. Now let's face it Microsoft will be gone by that time. No normal person could use that much space.Returning to the problem of marketing... Everyone buys different things just because they are "a very, very, very little bit" better then the other. So when I see 2gb of space i would say "this is great! i'll make an account"...i'll never think "well i really don't need that much space"

I've heard a few days ago about an OS called Windows Xp Nemesis and after some searching on the internet I discovered it's a version of Windows Xp Hacked that has a lot of programs installed with the OS. I was just wondering if any of you tried it...

I know it is hard to imagine a world where robots take our place but it will happen some day. Maybe we are not prepared for it yet but when the time comes we will. Just think... the caveman would say modern civilization is impossible just because his mind can't reach that far. Another example ... Star Trek ... 24 century ... there is no money, people are working to emprove themselves ... that sound farfetched but maybe it will happen in x00 years.We (our children) will adapt to robots. Don't woorry ... we won't loose our jobs...

Of course everyone should buy the movie and not download the DivX... but for people in the Eastern Europe 20 $ is quite a lot. I mean that a lot of people are working a month for just 150 $ and you can't expect them to buy a 20$ DVD (not to mention that they release the dvd after 2 or 3 months). For an american that get 1500$ a month 20$ isn't much but for us is a lot... there should be special prices for the poor countrys like 5$...it's better that getting 0$When that happen I'll buy the DVD!
