    Hello!

Hi Nicola. I'm pretty new here as well, but I enjoy it here.
  2. 6'4" and 146 pounds, 4th percentile. So no, I'm no where near fat.I should gain some weight, only lower body and core would really help.
  3. awardspace.com offers a free no-ad solution. However, I had to switch here because awardspace's uptime was not nearly good enough for my needs. Also their mysql kept getting overloaded. So it depends what you need it for. If you want the extra features and great uptime then just post every now and then. If you decide you don't need that and you only want to run a test site for coding, use another free host or download xampp and run a server on your own computer.
  4. If you put a deep scratch in a cd it's ruined. So what happens if your paper gets torn or wrinkled a little? I still can't see how it's phyisically possible to store more data on a piece of paper than a dvd.
  5. Well I would think you sound really clingy. Teen relationships are almost never about love. Most of them are for physical gratification, because the other person is "hot," or because people felt pressured to because all of their friends had a girlfriend/boyfriend.A very very small amount of highschool relationships contain two people that actually love each other. If you're talking about marriage, I agree with you. But you can't expect to love someone unconditionally on the first date.
  6. Probably the xbox if you're a serious gamer. Ps3 is really expensive. While it has some improvements the cost can be a big deterrant. The Wii is innovative, but there won't be as many games for teenagers. Instead it's all for younger kids or families it seems. If you want some good fps or racing games then go with xbox.
  7. Some of those were pretty funny. I like the soccer field one and the passed out dog.
  8. Now I just need to learn how to pronounce flocci?nauci?nihili?pili?fication. Thank you, that was very interesting.
  9. There's no way that the man who's face is probably the most recognized in the entire history of the world (apart from "pictures" of Jesus that is ) could live the rest of his life completely unnoticed. And the man was mentally insane. You'd think that towards the end of his life in argentina he would throw around some more aryan propaganda. If he's going to die of old age what does he have to lose?Yep he died when we think he did.
  10. I thought your phone was in a hurricane or flood or something :)Glad it working, even though it may smell like sour milk later.
  11. It's stereotyping to say that all homeless people were once drug addicts. It's just not true. Many of them could have just been born in a bad family or had some sort of physical or mental ailment that prevented them from getting a job.I think drugs are bad. Almost everyone at my work is really into drugs and drinking so I choose to only talk to those people who share the same values as I do.It's not like I'm not pressured to do drugs, I just have choosen that that's not what I want to do with my teenage years. For example, this past weekend I was invited to a party and when I arrived it turned out to be a lot different than I thought it would be. The whole party was just smoking hookah in the backyard. Because I don't want to be apart of that, even though hookah is a lot less than marijuana, I decided to leave the party.
  12. There would be a lot more crime and selfishness without religion. Even most people who claim to be atheist are affected by religion and the chance of God being real. Why else is my church attendance nearly doubled Christmas and Easter of every year? So even if you are atheist, there has to be some voice in the back of you head saying, "What if I was accountable for my sins?"Without religion this planet would kill itself in a matter of years. People are too messed up to live without religion.
  13. suicide is selfish and immoral. Granted there are plenty of people who are less fortunate than I am and It's very hard it imagine their situation, but whatever it is, it's bearable. There is no way to punish people other than arresting people who have attempted suicide, but failed. However those people need to go into a psych ward a not a prison.
  14. Well they're just asking for it if they didn't even both to put any secrity measures on the connection. I'm almost positive it's illigal, but I would try and find out who the signal belongs to based on it's name or by what you know about your neighbors. If they're cool, or not network savvy (which seems obvious) then it's no problem.
  15. I love this game. I don't remember how long it took me exactly, but I think it was about 20-30 minutes. The Bill Gates thing made me think a lot more mathmatically than it really was. My brother figured it out and now we keep showing it to our sister and she's still stumped. It's hillarious to watch her freak out when she doesn't get it.
  16. I'm fine with the concept of lucid dreaming, but I think people have made it seem more "mystical" than it really is.Your brain controls your dreams. If you can learn to tell when you are dreaming and control your brain without causing too much brain activity (and making yourself wake up) then you can control your dreams.
  17. Well if you can't stop thinking about this girl so much so that you can't concentrate on your current relationship, and you know this old girl likes you back, then you should hook up with her again.I shouldn't speculate about the circumstances of your previous two breakups with her, but maybe you two are just supposed to be really close friends instead of boyfriend and girlfriend.
  18. It'll always be a lot easier for pirates to find cracks than for companies to try and keep making it harder and harder.Basically the only people that will purchase programs like photoshop in the future are professionals who can just do a tax writeoff on the program or get their company to buy it for them, and who could get found out a get sued if they did pirate the program. Of course there will still be some people with a conscience who will choose to buy the said programs. As for games, well it's all just going to turn to subscription based games I guess, and those are virtually impossible to pirate. It is very easy to pirate a game like World of Warcraft, but to find a way to play on the real servers for free would be an extremely daunting task. I'm waiting for an MMORPG to start handing out CD's like those AOL CD's that have a tiny single player "demo" and then an option to subscribe. You get kids hooked, and then they want to sign up.Other than that, a lot of things are turning to open source. 2 of the biggest sites around, wikipedia and youTube are both consistent with this philosophy (well youTube isn't open source, but you see what I'm getting at). Once someone gets a successful open source game out and figures a way to control it and make revenue it'll revolutionize the gaming industry.Open source and Subscription based. That's what it's coming to. There will still be software developers to lead these, but as for selling software in stores, it'll be greatly decreased within these next 10-20 years.
  19. Talk to him about it and see if you can get it in writing that you can take over the site. You don't have any legal right to commandeer the site if he was the one who made it without his permission. So just talk to him, how bad could it be to list two people as a webmaster instead of one?
  20. It is pixilated when it is full sized, but you can't really change that unless you compressed it to show us. Personally I think the text doesn't match the rest. Try putting a satin or something on the text to break up the solid color.Looks good overall though.
  21. I watched the first release of smashmywii on youtube. I was hoping to see some insane fanboy start attacking the guy, but nothing really happened. They smash the wii and nobody really minded. They paid for it from donations so they can do with it whatever they want.Seems like a weird idea for a site though. I can't imagine they'll have much to add to it until the next gen console after this one comes out.
  22. Yah I had to work for 8 hours on Thanksgiving this year so when I got home they were just finishing up the meal. I didn't mind. It was really laid back and I'll take double pay anyday except for Christmas. The game was good and it was fun to hang out after the meal with some friends. You can't beat a 4 day weekend either.
  23. he is saying that .9 repeating (.99999999999999999 forever and ever) equals one. This is a mathmatical fact.1/3 = .3333333333333times my 3 on both sides....3/3 = .99999999999991 = .9999999999999It's just a fact. It may be hard to realize, but mathmatically it has to work.
  24. Different formats are good for different things like people have said above me. To scrap all formats and make one basic one would ruin the reason for having formats. If all image formats were grouped into one we would loose the specialty of some to compress really big images and some to compress small images.I have had this frustration when uploading videos though. Most people have a flash plugin for their browser, but some people do not, so saving as a swf is not always safe. All pcs should run wmv fine but what about macs and linux? .mov for quicktime is a nice format, but lots of people on pcs will not be able to watch it without installing quicktime. So no format is perfect, but by making a sacrific here and there you can find some pros or having different formats. In my situation there are no pros to different formats, persay, but you see what I'm getting at.
  25. I don't think the schools should require it to graduate or anything. My school does not require it to graduate, yet I still have to do community service to stay in National Honor Society. It shouldn't be a rule, it should be a choice. The people who are out there doing work are the people who will get into a successful college and do well later on in life. If someone doesn't want that, then they shouldn't be forced to work.
