New Gaming Mouse - Razer Deathadder Ideal for fps
rsf replied to ripc's topic in Science and Technology
all I need is an ergonomic optical mouse (which all of them are today anyway). A wireless mouse would be nice, but other than that, I don't see any reason to pay extra. I mouse is just a mouse. -
I love it because with all the other free webhosts I've used, they all don't let you use certain features. So I can't do some of the .htaccess, certain php functions, and all those other things that I wanted to do with my site. So now that I'm at Xisto, I'm a lot happier. Also I love the no ads thing. I could care less if I have to view ads on this forum, so long as my members don't have to put up with it. Definitely a plus from all the other hosts I've tried.

I'm pretty confident brushes will work fine if you switch over. It's supposed to be a lot like cs2 except some interface changes, smart filters, vanishing point 2.0, and a couple other cool features.I'm planning on downloading the beta tomorrow. I've been putting it off for the last week.

According to my xc coach, you can prevent them by building up your ab muscles a bit and by not eating certain foods before runs. You are supposed to stay away from heavy lactoses (milk, cheese), spicy foods, and some other I can't remember.I think I also read that bananas a couple hours before a run are supposed to help, but I'm not sure if I buy into that.

No doubt he has to regiment his training and eating just to only be good at pull ups. So no leg strength, all upper body. But that is really incredible.

Graphical Html Editors. Are they worth it?
rsf replied to Magic1492's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I highly recommend dreamweaver. It's an outstanding program. And if you're used to any other macromedia programs you'll have no problem picking a new one up.Frontpage is just substandard. -
New Gaming Mouse - Razer Deathadder Ideal for fps
rsf replied to ripc's topic in Science and Technology
You shouldn't need to spend more than 100-120 bucks max for a keyboard and mouse in my mind. And that's if they are both wireless, ergonomic, etc. My mouse isn't that great but it serves me fine. I'd rather spend money on more RAM than a spiffier mouse. -
A little off topic, but in my english teacher asked the class for words that instigate a lot of emotion. I said genocide, and half of the class had no clue what it was. Then when they found out they thought I was some sort of psycho for thinking of that word first. So you weren't alone in not knowing what it meant.

With more and more of the internet turning to open-source, I think linux distro's such as ubuntu will steal a lot of ground from microsoft. As long as linux can try and change it's image from a geeky operating system to a free alternative to windows that anyone can use ("linux for human beings"), they will be successful.Google on the otherhand is going to gain momentum. They are already trying to have a stake in every part of your computer. From how you buy things online, to your VoIP, to your office suite (online spreadsheets and such), to your picture organizer, etc. It won't be long until Google decides to branch out into most programs such as a web browser (hoping they merge with mozilla ) or even an operating system. If they came this far in only a couple of years, I don't think they're stopping anytime soon.

I think it looks very good. The only thing that I would change is the color of the banner. While there is some green in your site, I think the banner should be primarily blue to reflect the overall color scheme.

When I think of web 2.0 I think about the look and feel of the site. Sure the democracy in web 2.0 sites plays a huge role, but the first thing a user notices is the look. The layout is fresh, the colors compliment each other, and the purpose of the site is boldly displayed in easy to read font.I just think of web 2.0 as trying to escape the tables and columns that older websites have in favor of a fresher, more aesthetic look.

They add minerals to bottled water. If you want to tasted pure water you have to buy distilled water. It's not nearly as good as the water you're used to.

Happy New Year. Have a great and safe end to 06.

Without advertisements there would be very few websites. Why would Google exist if they didn't have some way of making money. The web would be dominated by wikipedia instead. Not like that's a bad thing.

Advantages Of Using Tableless Designs For Web Pages
rsf replied to midnitesun's topic in Web Hosting Support
I'm still using tables in my site because while I can code in xhtml in notepad well, I use dreamweaver to code to save time. And to save time I've been using tables instead of css.I also find that when I do make layouts in css they come up different in IE and Firefox so much so that I cannot get them both to look right. I guess that just means I need to read up on css some more.2.0 of my site will be all done in css except for organizing data (what tables were intended for. -
Well I assume you've switched right now, but for others that find themself in a similar situation...Before you switch, call them and tell them you're going to cancel their service because it is not reliable and the speeds are not what they advertised. Most companies will redirect your call to a department who's sole job is to give you free 'upgrades' in order to keep you as a customer. AOL is notorious for doing this, but I have a friend who's gotted several free phones from Verison from doing the same thing. And you don't stand to loose anything except your time.

I saw a great one some guy did on youtube. As this Microsoft guy is announcing all the new features, the guy who made the video is on a Mac Os X doing the same exact features. And M$ ripped tabbed browsing. They aren't very original, but you can't sue them for stealing Mac Os X. You could just call it a parody.V for Vista!

yah I watched the smashmywii one. There was also a smashmyipod and chances are there is or they are planning to release a smashmyps3.It's a good idea I guess because people are posting the links everywhere just to watch something valuable get smashed.

You just have to place little ads at the bottom or your page or off to the site and make sure the colors match with your site's. You can't cover up the ads or you'll get banned.

Largest Known Prime Number A very long number...
rsf replied to sonyguy's topic in General Discussion
I somehow doubt any one person could win that 100,000 dollars. You need to come up with some brilliant equation or just brute force every odd number. -
Swimming and jogging are some of the best ways to lose weight when you mix that with eating a healthy diet. It's good to switch off you routine so you can build up different muscles and keep your program interesting. And if you really like to run then say Saturday's you're going to increase your distance or do some hill running or a different course to change it up.

Watching Television On Your Pc How do I do it without buying a TV Tuner
rsf replied to darran's topic in Hardware Workshop
You need a tv tuner card. That's it's purpose.Either:-Find a site you can stream it from-Go over to a friend who wants to watch it too-Go to a sports bar or restaurant to watch it -
1 will never equal 2 by definition. So I'm going to bother with the second proof because there's definately a flaw somewhere. If it was correct then there would be a flaw in our addition, multiplication, etc.Remember you can't divide by variables unless you can prove they aren't 0 like y = x^2 + 1 where x is a real number (no i's )

I knew about the Bush one, but the french military one was pretty funny. Thanks for a good laugh.
