This bug was there with me earlier(i guess during dec-feb time). But right now it only pops up when i logout which is acceptable. So i guess it's not problem for me. And no there is no issue with Xisto login. This gotta be issue with IPB. And that most of the people are not facing the problem means it's not issue from host. It looks more of issue from script,if there is any.

Yes agree with quantrux. Even i joined on January but can't access the date using custom period. Now the only dates accessible for me are from march. Not sure if i lost or got carried my earlier earnings. Which was more than current one. I'm not even sure of if my previous earning were carried to next month or not. Now that spencer said their customer support is good. I'll try that out. And i'm gonna make suggestion to them that why there is no earning counter on dashboard. Isn't this complicated without it ? Let's see how they respond to this suggestion in future.

I think this is the problem with browser and vista. Vista seems to be blocking some connections which requires access to disk via browser. IE7 is sand-boxed browser but not like IE8. It has plenty of bugs. And using IE7 on vista you'll likely to hit plenty of walls. One thing you can do is install IE8 and avoid more issues with the browser. Also to avoid restriction of downloading files. You can install Firefox, not suitable for low memory machines. But if you can run vista then firefox will work fine with your machine. Alternative to firefox is Opera, which is also easy to use and secure. If you're concerned about speed and browsing performance, you can install Chrome. There are no file download restriction for chrome,firefox and opera. In case if you only upgraded to IE8 then make sure you regularly update it with Microsoft update. Why ? cause many patches are released for IE8 on regular basis.

There are plenty of views on opensource. And i've seen both negative and positive sides of opensource. Opensource doesn't have to be free but it killed many business because of source-code being open. This model is not for everyone in software business. Only those who can work around this and create business model around this becomes successful and survives. I'll not talk about numbers migrating to open-source license. Take a look at this article which says why free is better. Also this is good article on free-software. I just want to say one thing : If you like any open source project then keep it alive by donating to it. If possible, yearly or twice a year if it's actively developed. If open-source software also releases paid version with more features then support it by purchasing. Keep good projects alive by supporting it's development.

Aliens ? Can't say. We've our limited observations in this galaxy and outside it. WOW signal do mean a lot for some scientists and organizations. SETI is constantly in search of ET's. But no success so far.Maybe the life on other galaxies could be more intelligent than us and their way of communication is different than us. Even Google's youtube returns many results for it. And you can see most of them are fake. See videos on youtube by typing "crop circle" and you'll get result like this video. Funny, people make background music. Punching voice and words from host and try and make it look like real alien-made Crop-circle. Which asks people to upload content and earn from their content by showing-ads. and only pass few percentage of money to their users. So i'm feeling suspicious about bukisa as well. I found Howtodothings on similar lines as per bukisa. Only difference here is howtodothings.com has option of placing google-adsense ads on articles which written by you. I was looking for easiest ways of creating data visualization. Most obvious that comes into our mind is flash. Which is used for most of the visualization on the web. Some people do use it for desktop visualization as well gluing with other languages. I find Prefuse a much better than flash but only for data visualization not for all type of web projects. Flare which is based on actionscript 3, can do visualization like flash and is fast as well. After trying flare, flash i asked for suggestion of programming language and i found Processing. Processing is perfect for data visualization. You can read some of the sample code from the official site and can figure out it is easy to understand. Processing makes it easy to visualize data. It is based on java and even takes help of java virtual machine. So if you write application on processing it will run on web and desktop as it uses Java runtime. Their official site has lot of interesting videos and demos of processing visualization. If you want to draw abstract and fast animation with code only then processing is for you. Processing is not suitable for projects if you're project requires too much of customized animation like character and user-action. It is not suitable for GUI based web data visualization as well. You can check their exhibition for the demos. They have forums where you can get help for your code and processing related bugs. Processing also has two fork projects. First one is Processing hardware and another is processing mobile. Both are from processing code-tree but serves different purpose. If you're interested then do check out official processing page.

Yes, that was my point. That's why i earlier cleared with him that to check if wordpress or drupal is easy for him. He checked that and found out wordpress is easy to use for him in comparison with drupal. Now if he starts to edit themes of drupal and wordpress, let him see that as well which is better. again it's his personal opinion on it. He could find drupal good with theme editing. Who knows ? It depends on his personal experience with those software and how he views at it. Though Drupal has forum module. Depending upon his selection of forum software he needs to use those bridges. and the situation is he's starting blog first and building community later on it based on readers of blog. So this way, that bridge module is necessary. And as we're unaware of which forum software he selected or have in his mind(maybe phpbb or smf no idea) so i asked him to download and test the forum and CMS with bridge module and then decide.

Not exactly. Not all operating systems are targeted at common users. Symbian on mobile is targeted for mobiles only or for embedded devices. Gnu-step which is maintained by GNU have it's own userbase. So we can't say based on our usage that haiku-os will survive or not. One more example is FreeDOS, Why it is alive ? DOS is way dead but still freeDOS was developed in the days of Winsows XP and MacOSX ,isn't it ? Is it because of market ? User-base ? NO. It was resurrected cause there was dedicated users who like that OS and want to see such project to be continued. So that's why they create their own forks to keep operating system alive. And that's why market competition is subjective. Haiku-OS is not competition with Linux or windows clones. It is resurrection of Be-OS architecture. So those who wanted to keep BeOS architecture alive will use it irrespective of applications and financial support. This is the age of open-source, projects will not die like BeOS which died earlier. As source-code remains on internet, people will continue to develop and use abandon OS projects if they find it interesting.

Not a good idea at all. What if old members want to return and take benefits of Mycents system ? There were plenty of members who contributed for TP17 earlier. We've no idea when they'll return. If their accounts are deleted then all their posts and threads will be deleted as well. Besides their opinion is copyrighted to them, one can't just delete their account and keep their content. This is harsh and cheating. If this is applied such policy then people will not turn to Xisto and Xisto instead they'll move away from it. Try such active member policy on any forum and see how much content is generated for forums, and how much traffic could be driven. You'll see the results if you try it on any test forum. Besides it takes lot of pain to bring members, even if free-hosting forums go through hard time to get quality members. Just imagine if some of from us, get enough mycent and added it to Xisto - Support billing area for funds and it's fund for 2 years. So they'll remain inactive for 1-year or so. Do we've to delete them ? If so, trust me people will move from Xisto instead of following such harsh deletion policy. I can understand database is huge and turning Xisto into slow bird. But what can be done in that case ? Some of my suggestions in this case. There are plenty of SPAM threads here as well as SPAMmers account. MODS and admins need to delete them instead of inactive members. I can understand this is pain for moderators and admin but it's better to speed things up by deleting duplicate threads and SPAM threads and spammer accounts than removing old inactive members.

Yeah. We sometimes do dream in sequels. Few years back, i used to play age of mythology a lot before getting to sleep. I agree. Topics like HD/Blue-ray protection breaking, IPB & VB null scripts, Warez are more of trouble to forums. Because of such topics more SPAM is attracted to forum. And if one such topic is allowed then new members are likely to create new topic/threads based on such illegal findings. They'll even ask for keeping topic/thread cause of their country don't catch or have no problem with such stuff. But for international forum or any internet sites faces problem because of posting such topics. Problem comes when advertisers remove forums from their service cause of discussing such topics. Agree with you on last part, if they meant to share warez/illegal stuff better find some other forum.

Agree. Some problems related to BeOS were lack of applications, lack of users and business model for operating system. Why lack of applications ? Very few developers find it learning curve easy enough to create applications for BeOS. Also Mac and Windows were dominant in the market it was hard for BeOS to attract more users. This lack of users also crated issue for sponsors and developers on system to generate business model for the operating system. HaikuOS on the other hand is promoted in much better way than BeOS. Maybe, because of it's opensource model. Perhaps. Also there are plenty of applications developed so far for haiku OS. These things are in favor of popularity of Haiku OS. I expect more buzz from haikuOS. Let's see, and i'm confident about Haiku that it'll not die like BeOS. Not now atleast. There is one more operating system which is at the end of it's life-time.
