"I wrote this to get post back on top, i hope nobody minds. There are few new thing, and better explanation of everything. Still no progress and no ppl intrested in helping!"This internet house i've been thinking about should be simple, fast, user friendly and most of all fun to use.Ok, now how to do that?!First let's start with design, and the thing that is bothering me the most is what code to use for design.We all know that worst thing about internet is browser support, and i personally don't have anything against Microsoft and IE, it's just that some things that can easily be coded for Firefox don't work for IE.I want to use the simplest code possible for designing this IH (internet house) so i decided for 4 things that are going to be the backbone of entire project.1. HTML-i think we all know what is HTML Smile2. CSS-cascading style sheets are a good, fast way to design web pages. worst problem with CSS is it's browser compatibility.I am sorry but since IE doesn't support some features of CSS i have decided that Firefox is going to be a browser for which i'm going to code this IH.Anybody who uses IE will have the possibility to create same Concept based on that browser, and of course anyone using any other browser can code IH for it.3. PHP-whole house is going to need some powerfull programming language to code scripts, and to connect and save stuff to database. I decided for PHP beacouse i think it is quite simple, there is lot's of help for it on internet and i just simply like it.4. MySQL-database to store data in. it is good, reliable and fast. it's not perfect but it's free.---------------------OK, now second thing is that internet house is going to be open source, but not that simple - more like earned open source.At first everybody will have the chance to take a glance at code, and download it, but as the project develops only users who were there, who helped and coded, posted ideas or solved problems will have the opportunity to see the code.Others are not going to be forbidden, just there will be tasks which they would need to complete before getting the code.----------------------Third thing is HOSTING, and sharing houses.We would need to agree on primary house. Although i don't think of it that way, only this way and i'll try to explain it as much as i can.Now everybody who wants can make their own house, but the idea would be that all of users stay in touch, to stay in some kind of order.How to achieve that order?We need to look at real life. People live in Earth (let's call it internet) then we have continents, than cities.Now to organize the best thing to do would be to name street. I would call it "18th internet avenue" (since i'm borned on 18 so gimme some credit plz ) and then as a user registers a house he would get his place in the street.As much as the "population" would grow, so the street would get longer, maybe we would have a crossroad, park, or even the whole city.That's how i think about it.------------------Basically i have an idea, and i count on internet users who have the knowledge to help in this idea.It's not bad, it wouldn't be something totally new, or original, but it would be a good try to kinda find your place on internet.Forums would still be forums, blogs would still be blogs, but this whole idea of mine (well it's not mine, it is something that every internet user feels in the air and probably others are developing similar projects) would be to give a user that warmth that you have at home, that feeling that you belong somewhere, that something which makes us humans -- even if we are near a machine.------------------I hope u feel the same way, and also hope that you understand meaning of this project.It's not about money, or glory it's evolution!!Surf wellMatak

well vehicles produce much much more energy than they need. you see if engine has 100 HP (horse power), it is equal to 75 kW of energy.. do you know how much is that? lets say that average AC unit needs about 5kW of energy, computer needs about 1kW of energy.. i don't know how much does refrigerator or stow needs but i don't think that it is more than 5 kw 10 or max 20Kw.. So you see practically one car is enough to produce energy for the whole house. But car pollutes very much. Last info i saw was that Opel Tigra made in 1995 has about 173 g/km of CO2, that is way too much...

well energy is not created it is transformed or transfered from one form to another. transformation of energy is when there is mechanical contact to change forms of energy. transfer of energy is when energy transfers from one form to another without direct contact, like heat to steam. well, at least that's what i think.. but it would be smart if you would ask your professor about this couse i'm not really sure is it true...

i just hope that nobody is going to try to build a giant powerplant based on magnets, beacouse that could lead to end of the world. don't ask why, try to figure it out yourselfes

ok, basicly i learned on Xisto that tables are bad for webdesign beacouse of their slow loading and incompability with browsers. since i have some html, css and even php skills (very little indeed but i have the will) i'm building this new website for local alternative club. i have enough time to build it, so it means i can practice on those skills.. i basicly know how to build css website (and i have a good book about it ) so i wont bother you much with all of it, just this menu i have the idea for. i want it to be like a drawer now when mouse is not on the menu i want it to be closed when i hover mose over, i want the drawer to look opened.. and, i know it is not a problem, but the second thing i wanted on that is that when mose is over a drawer and it is opened user can see files inside it... (which are hiperlinks) but when user hovers mouse over those files i want it to show another image (or description of that) now the thing that's bothering me is that mose hover, beacouse it can get really tricky when user is trying to find a link, he has to move mose, and that could close the drawer (menu) and he would have to start all over again. and ideas?

to Saint_Michael That site you posted at first looks like it brakes the 10% myth but this that i read at the end still makes me wonder Now if children have the ability to regenerate damaged brain and use it, does it mean that the part they're using for that regeneration is never going to be used for anything else. So that practically means that they are going to be less smart their hole lives than the other children which had normal life without damaged brain. Now, i belive that those children who managed to regenerate brain are going to be even smarter, beacouse they have learned how to transform certain parts of brain that would probably be used for something else, and now they can probably transform other parts of brain they don't really need in those they do. Ok, i know i'm talking some really silly things here but here's the idea. Let's say we are using 100% of our brain (which i really don't think is true) but let's say you can perhaps transform that part of the brain that is used for smell to the part used for listening. I myself don't really care what am i eating so i really don't need that smell so much but i really care to what am i listening so i would like to trade my smell for my hearing. Do you see what am i getting at? In that 100% used brain there is at least 20% used for something that is totally unnecessary. So probably training the brain to use it for the things you like more could be possible.

if i understanded correctly from this documentary i saw few days ago, only our planet and the sun has the magnetic force surrounding it.. that magnetic force around earth is the main factor that we still have atmosphere beacouse it is pushing solar wind of our planet so it still didn't blew of our atmosphere unlike on other planets. i'm not saying that is the only reason why we still have atmosphere but it's the one of the most important ones.

maybe by using tables in html you could make things a bit easier for yourself..but anyway thanks for this CSS thingy i just started building a new template in joomla (v1.5. beta) and i need to start from scratch, so this could help a lot.i'll post a tut later when i'm finished.. to quakesand i had a same things with dreams. just not so vivid. i dreamt few days ago some horrifying dream with my car and 3 days later i had an accident. i was ok, but my car isn't. dreams can be interpretations of future that is going to happen, but then again if we try to avoid something that happened to us in a dream maybe something even worst could happen. that is the balance of nature and karma which i really belive in. who nows, for me maybe if i didn't drive my car after that dream maybe something even worse could happen to me. that term of listening to dreams and trying to change results of them i call "play life". it is not smart to play life beacouse you never know the result of what might happen. some people had even had experiences of talking some other language in dreams. i could interpret that like maybe you saw some Spanish movie, and without even realizing you learned Spanish in your brain, so later in your dream you recall that movie and use it to speak Spanish. i'm not using this technique couse it is boring. i would rather have single tasking brain than counting numbers each night before going to sleep. it is to boring. but I'll repeat it again maybe you have better nerves You start counting from 1,2,3.. to 96,97,98,99,100.. When you reach 100 with FIRST COUNT you start SECOND COUNT for each 10 (or 5 (it is harder when you use 5, or even maybe 8)) counts of FIRST COUNT you count 1 to SECOND COUNT. Do you see what happens. You have to concentrate on FIRST COUNT and on SECOND COUNT at the same time. It becomes really complicated. Then when you have counted 200 with first count you probably have like 50 in second count... Then you start THIRD COUNT in which you count 1 for each 5-10-or 8 of second count which is still based on first one He he, i hope this is a bit simpler explanation, although my native language is Croatian so i find it quite difficult to explain this in English

The thing that bothers me the most and what i really think could be made with lot of practise is the abbility to train the brain to do several things at once. I even think that even simplest activity like maybe surfing and listening to music is doing more things at once. But how to take control of it. We all now, at least most of us that humans are using just 5-7% of their brain, well at least that the area where there is electricity so it is considered the used part of brain. But what about the rest.Some people belive that the rest of the brain is like Hard drive where we store information which we need, and even lot's of information that we don't need. Like when you are traveling by bus, maybe at mean time listening to music and reading some interesting book your brain stores all of the information, even that what you see in distance of buses window but you don't realize that it does that.Now this way of maybe reading the book and listening to music, and that you know egzactly at the same time what words did author wrote and sing -- and than memorize it would be a wonderfull thing. To improve memory i tried this technique. Before i went to sleep i started counting just simply from 1 to ... Now when i counted to 100 i tried counting another 1 to each 10 i counted the first count. When i reached 200 with first count and than it was 10 with second count. Now i added another count which was based on every 5th count of second count. It became really complicated to count all of those numbers and remember them but when i lost track i tried to remember what i learned that day. It was piece of cake.I tried this technique only once and it worked, but it is based on counting so it's kinda boring. If someone else can maybe figure out how to improve this (and please no Yoga links ) it would be nice.My point in all of this is the abbility when working, to bee able to do several things at the same time and be same good at all of them...

Well that problem with sails is beacouse they take them to be like sails in ships. But why would they need to be like that. Basicly all we need to is to build a large ship that looks like cube or something, and then direct it in the way of wind :lol:Beacouse the space is empty there is no need for the ship to be aerodinamic or hydrodynamic, beacouse there is no resistance at all. They are trying to build sails but they dont need to sail on anything they just need to find a way to disturb suns wind energy in moving of something with MASS. That is why i think solar sailing is maybe suitable for small and light ships beacouse the wind it self is not powerfull enough to move anything with mass beacouse mass isn't something that could be in equation of solar wind. Or something like that. But that is just my personal opinion i don't have enough of a brain to understand all of the math needed for those calculations

try deinstalling drivers of intel on board graphic card.you can do that when hiting F8 key sometime after memory check when your computer starts.it should show a screen where you select safe mode of windows.now you should take out your GForce (BEFORE TURNING ON YOUR COMPUTER ) and put your working monitor on Intel Graphic, then when in safe mode uninstall that card and turn off computer.plugin your GForce and your MONITOR INTO YOUR GFORCE CARD :lol:than when you turn on your computer and install GForce drivers (which windows automaticly install, although it is better to download latest version from nvidia site) everything should be working ok...

Maybe it is not going to be finanially possible but people who are going to work on space program should work on it for free. The reward is going to be the option for those people who help space travel to be able to go to space when they want to. Now, about engines. For our galaxy we should build "solar sail" spacecrafts that use "solar wind" that's speed is about 500 km/sec. I think that is pretty fast for space dimensions. After such a space craft exceedes suns solar wind that spreads to the end and even a bit more of our galaxy it should ignite engines that it would be using. Only problem i see in all of this is psyche of those astronauts that would be in these ships. It would be probably the longest travel human race has ever made so people might easily go crazy on such a travels. But that is something they need to be trained to...

well i don't see why do you need to be a brilliant scientist to have this kind of opinion.it's just the question of time when this planet is going to become too small for all of us to live in. either we will stop making so much babies, either we will begin to research space travel. but is it possible?yes in star trek they have super technology which they use to travel with light speeds, but how is it possible for us to do the same thing?we don't have warp technology, and since we can't even resolve simple problem like oil reserves, how the hell are we going to be capable of space travel?except if some crazy scientist doesn't get serendipity and discovers new kind of engines we are doomed to this planet, and that's that.maybe the best thing for us would be to start building large colonial ships with capacity up to 100,000 residents, and with about 2 - 10 of these colonial ships we go into space, with calculating how much time would it need for us to get to nearest M class planet (Alpha Centauri i think). Let's say we start these ships with 40,000 k colonialist, but food and rest.. i don't know.. i have no idea.does anybody know what is the time that we need to travel to nearest M class planet?

well i played the game. it's quite interesting with some new features like vinil stretch rotate and scale option. drift is back but whole game engine and driving is not that much different than in old NFS series. also a new feature is that you have members of your "gang" that help you beat opponents with bashing them, finding shortcuts for you or driving in front of you so you can slingshot from their air hole. there are some really nice cars like american muscle game is based on territory attack where you have few gangs that control the city so you attack their turf and gain control. also you have police but there is no bounty you have to accomplish. all in all it's a solid game, but i don't think it is worth buying, at least not for single play. i don't know how is it on the internet and online gameplay beacouse i didn't have a chance to play it. i wonder why

Time travel is not only possible but it has already been made. But the only thing is that to prove that time travel is possible you would have to travel through time, and then get back to the time you came from. Now when you prove you have traveled the time you need to bring some kind of evidence of that, some thing from "past" or even "future".Let's put aside those things that could affect your egzistence in future, and just give us a mission as time traveler to bring simple evidence of our time travel, let's say a calender from Thailand which we have to bring back to our time.The basic fizics that humans understand at this time is combination of speed and mass, and basically our whole universe is made on combination of these factors. Sun has huge mass that attracts our planet which then is cought in it's gravity and starts circular motion around it. Our planet also has mass that resists sun's mass, and there for it circles around it self beacouse it has not enough mass to brake suns gravity.Beacouse of those two combinations we have "time" which we are used to. No matter how hard we try we can't stop Earth circling around sun and it self and there for we are used to 24 hours time period which we live by. That is "time" as we see it.Now let's say that time traveler from some other "dimension" comes to earth to collect that evidence like calender from Thai, he takes it and goes back to it's time. But he took some mass from our dimension (i won't even say that his time device brought mass back to our planet and induced new time dimension imediatly, but as he brought that mass back with him our planet again started new time dimension beacouse it is lighter for that calender.Wow, someone can say, how can a mass of less than 1 pound affect all of that. Well it does. Even a mistake of 0.00000001 mass can affect serious sh**in time dimensions.Now, someone here wrote about time machine that brings us back to time in our mind. That is the thing i'm thinking about to, beacouse we couldn't make time travel important beacouse time it self isn't important. More important thing is the FACTS from the time we are intrested in. Maybe if somebody felt that Hitler would be in 1939 and start that war it could "infect" his psyche with other ideas that maybe would lead to different solutions at that time. I belive that time viewing is small evolution step that some of us maybe posses, beacouse of all other factors that one can have influence of. Like polution, war, and similar crazy thing that are done at this time, but are totaly meaning less. Maybe a child will be born, or even better two childs or more who will have the enormous abillity to control time, and to "see" the future. Maybe "Time Viewing" is just a side effect for now, until they are born.even more complicated thing is that probably even someone with that ability to control time will have enemies who will fight the other timeline.But those are just science fiction. Even dealing with simple problems of this "mass" life of ours provides us more problems ever, and imagion that we could have the time factor to. That would be i think more of a problem then a blessing

yes very good tutorial. i haven't read it all just now but it seems nice and easy for beginners.maybe you could write some code that connects PHP to MySQL database. Some script that can add a user, and maybe you could explain how we could create simpler apps that connects to MySQL and that lets user the option that everything that it does to site can be simply saved to database.of course that would lead to protecting databases in proper way, maybe with right editing of .htaccess file or similar. you have the power to write it simpler than some of the tutorials i've seen on internet so keep up the good tut's coming

They were all drug addicts but in their books you can realize some things about drugs. And ask your parents about those drugs and the feeling you have that you need to use them. Maybe they can help you out with that.

drugs are huge problem of society but not beacouse of their nature, but beacouse of those using drugs the wrong way. although i belive that all of us humans, and even all of these nature sorounding us is connected in some way so that one person using drugs hurts someone else regardless wheater he is smoking herb at home or stealing and robbing for his dope.you might think of me as a fool for saying such a things but i just like looking at things that way. i belive in god, a supreme being that watches on all of us and that she or he loves us more than our parents, grandparents. god loves us more than we love our own children. i belive that he created this earth and universe for us to live in and to enjoy it.but even god has enemies, yes the devil. devil is not much different from god. it has it's knowlege and power, but devil doesn't love us. devil just wants our souls roasted in hell for his pleasure beacouse she or he couldn't find it's place in god's world.now how can that be connected to drugs?do you know the story about garden of eden, and adam and eve? that forbiden apple which God asked them nicely to take care of but never try it. but we are humans, we have that something called curiosity and it was just the question of time when they couldn't resist temptation and they tried the apple :)it opened their eyes bible says? but to where?they realized that they are naked, they begun to fear from God and they couldn't look at him in the eyes anymore. They don't listen. They think they are smarter than their parents and go away from their parents belives. Some of them find better ways for them to live in this world without need for those apples others stick to those apples thinking that they are the one who are going to find the answer.But both of those children are needed, and only the boundrys must be set between them. Those who found life without apples should leave those who can't find it at peace, but those who need apples must respect ways of those who don't need them.It's a question of ballance, which is real hard to find and even more harder to live by.to lewisM..If you like hallucinations try acid beacouse that drug provides most powerfull hals of all, with as little as possible damage to human mind. Just beware, don't get scared beacouse with that drug you unlock some parts of your mind which you maybe didn't know that they egzisted and you might end up is some deep shi'' if you aren't prepared for such a thing. before consuming acid you need to be in touch with your self, and as the proper name for acid is LSD-25 i think that it shouldn't be used before you have at least 25 years without it in normal life. in puberty you might think of some things quite different than when you reach adolescence, and establish a normal surroundings for your self.and PLEASE don't use it beacouse someone SAID YOU SHOULD use in only if YOU FEEL YOU ARE PREPARED FOR THAT!!!!! if anything bad happends to you i don't want to be the one who you are going to blame for that.
