Does Free Hosting Currently Use Credits Or Posts?
Dooga replied to beeseven's topic in Web Hosting Support
Good question. I think it is both credits AND posts. Because hosting will take away credits, and the posts are there so that the administrators and moderators can see if the user has posted. One large tutorial can not register for hosting, but 15 medium posts can.Note: I am not sure. The administrator has to make the final decision. -
Are You For Or Against Cloning? what would be your reason?
Dooga replied to adriantc's topic in Science and Technology
I've done a speech on cloning before (it was in french). Cloning is pretty useful for some things, but it is still risky. Some scientists believe that cloning is not good, because the cloned animals won't have "souls". Even though this is more like religion, "souls" may still be real, as scientists say. Cloning is also a lot of work, in money and person. It takes millions of dollars to clone. And eventually, in the future, if people cloned their children as a "backup", the world will be in apartheid. It will be separated between poor, and rich (who can afford cloning). So does that mean if you are cloned, you're rich? -
My tip is to message back the user who sent you the link. The virus will send this link with something like "http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/; with the message like "omfg" or "rofl" "lol" "omg" etc. Please do not click on those! And avoid posting the actual link in the forums, because some people might accidentally click on it. At least, don't use the /url tag for the link.

Maybe you typed the URL wrong?

Wow, I didn't know there were so many new features in google that they haven't told everyone! Thanks for the link!

I use trillian, because I have lots of clients and contacts! http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Check it out!

ill, No offensive comments are allowed! And I think Se?or Maniac's sig is fine! Don't worry about it! -
I really liked the Lord of the Rings movies! By the way, anyone watched "The Aviator"? What does the movie mean? (It was a snooze fest for me!)
-
I don't think that the people who use it will get sued because there are millions! They won't spend that much time tracking them down! (Even if they do, do they have the time?)

Hey it's a great effect! So are you going to post the cloud thing soon? (But I think it's an automated thing for the cloud thing... may be wrong....)
-
How about this? Post your own posts of your interest (you can talk to us about your job or something) and people will reply! It's always easier to reply to your own topic, plus, posting a topic is easier and you can most likely post more when you post your own topic!Regards,~ D O O G A

NOOO!!! MY hosting credits dropped from 80 to 78!

It's wierd because the closer you live to somewhere, the most likely you will be late. I think it's because everyone thinks that they have no problem reaching their destination but overestimates themselves and ends up being late anyways. I recommend you to get up early, and just assume you live a 15 minute walk away from your school, and just leave 5 minutes early! Or you can pretend that school starts 5 minutes earlier etc. When you have a project, pretend the deadline is 2 days earlier etc. I have a classmate who always arrives at school late, but actually lives 1 block away. I live a 10 minute DRIVE (30 minute walk) but I was never late for school in my life (seriously). I guess assuming you won't get there will be good, because you'll leave early. This also reminds me of my english project. I assume that I won't finish if I keep on stalling (even though I probably could) but I ended up finishing 3 days before it's due... That's rare for me because I always procrastinate. No really, just assume the deadline is a day earlier, or your destination is a bit farther, and you will succeed!

Yes, you should make it smaller. I reccommend 200x100 or smaller because even though some people's connections are quite fast, there are always some who have slower connection. And if the resolution of the person is really small, the picture will take up like half the screen. It also wastes the bandwidth of the server you host it on. -
The hosting credits are to keep the community active. Hope you understand.Regards,Dooga

Actually, the poems don't sound bad at all! I like the rhymes because they all have simple syllables.

Hosting Credit And Inactivity Permission Please read.. thx
Dooga replied to sandymc's topic in Web Hosting Support
First of all, if you didn't have internet, you wouldn't be making or hosting a site. If you're computer blows up, most likely it won't, but IF it does, then you can't update your site anyways. If you lack internet, you wouldn't know how to make a website anyways. Most likely these things don't happen to you if you are on the internet long enough to know how to make a site. If you have medical conditions, Xisto wouldn't be the most important thing compared to your broken arm or infected eye etc. Xisto DOES NOT and WILL NOT delete members because they are inactive for a explainable reason. Xisto only suspend members who register just for the sake of it. It is fine to register a site to see and experience the greatest hosting in the world, and I don't object to that. However, there are also members who want to make a site etc. If they are serious about the site, they would choose Xisto (because Xisto is a professional free hosting site that welcomes medium-intermediate to advanced users). If you are only a beginner and only know how to make a link, there are plenty of hosts that offer the exact amount of space and bandwidth you need, and the easy to use features. In my opinion, Cpanel is not suitable for beginners so geocities would be good for small websites. If you are serious however, you will take longer in the making of your website, not to mention the time on the computer, and most likely, you will have time to post in the forums. If you are normally active, it wouldn't be a problem at all. For instance, I am pretty active, (even if I only have 180 posts) and I can take a vacation of one month! (70 credits left). Xisto does allow exceptions (we are not robots) and if he administrator knows about your problem, things can be sorted out and are flexible. The new forum is a good idea, but some people might not want to post their issues or reasons here, and that's fine. There is also a PM system (Private Messaging). I hope the faithful users understand this, and that we are also humans, and that negiotiation is always possible. If you have further issues or inquiries about this subject, or if you have any comments, feel free to reply to this forum, or PM me or one of the members you trust. Thank you for your understanding. Best Regards, Dooga (It's not my real name to let you know ) -
Meh. I spend 100 MB of internet bandwidth here every day (and my parents complain about me using up too much bandwidth).Nothing Much

What Is The Meaning Of Life? you tell me the meaning of life
Dooga replied to electriic ink's topic in General Discussion
The meaning of life is to sleep! Doesn't that make sense? -
Sigh... no one wants gmail anymore. And you already have gmail!
-
I like this forum because it's simple and small. It's good for those people who just want a small little forum, and not a community as large as Xisto!
-
I don't think I'm going to use it because gmail is trying to prevent it, so that means it's not 100% legal with gmail.Just like trillian

Hi! This post is made by me at Xisto, and I decided to share it with Xisto members too! Ok, I've got some RCM music history stuff to share. It's about Beethoven. Beethoven is a classical composer born in the year 1770. He was born in Bonn, Germany. His father anticipated him to be a child prodigy just like Mozart. However, his father is also an alcholic and "boxes" Beethoven's ears, which may have caused deafness in the later years. At the age of 11, Beethoven has successfully composed his first composition. With his first teacher Neefe, Beethoven succeed in his musical career. Beethoven, due to his unhappy childhood, has begun to be more easiliy angered. He would be enraged for little reasons, for instance if his publisher has made an error in the publishing. Beethoven was once a pupil of Haydn, but due to Beethoven being fed up for writing "Pupil of Haydn" on every composition, and his stormy relationships with Haydn, Beethoven soon stopped learning from Haydn. Beethoven traveled to Vienna to perform, and like Mozart, he patroned for a prince. However, Beethoven demanded respect and equalness between him and his Patron, unlike the reast of the classical composers, who respected their patrons like masters. Beethoven, mozart, and Haydn formed the Viennese School together. Beethoven's musical style was significant. Beetoven wrote one opera in his life, called the Fidelio. Unfortunately, his opera, which took 10 years to compose, was critized immediately when it premiered. Beethoven's hard work was not respected, and Beethoven got even more angry. Beethoven's music was split into three main sections/parts. First, it's the "early" part, where some people called "imitation". Some representative works include "pathetique". The second part was called the "middle" part. The middle part started when Beethoven composed Opus 31. Some represented works include "Spring", "Emperor" and Synphony Number 5 in C- Opus 67. The last part, was what some people called it the "late" or "mature" part, was where Beethoven started to enter the Romantic period. "Symphony Number 9" was finally created. There were only 2 compositions in the last part. Beethoven favored the popular sonata-allegro form, and his cyclial structures. In "sympony Number 5" the famous "short-short-short-long" motive arised. In the third movement of this symphony is the "scherzo and trio" form. Beetoven also had styles such as the rondo style. Also, Beethoven's music is full of Dark and somber compositions. For Syphony number 5, "Thus fate knows on the door" was the motive, hence his dark thoughts. And the end of Beethoven's life, Beethoven's grave was visited by over 10000 people in 1827 and even Schubert visited it. Beethoven was one of a few composers who was respected by everyone, and influenced the music society greatly. Copyright 2004 Johnny Lee.
