  1. Well, at the moment, I'm listening to Story Of The Year - Until The Day I Die. They are an awesome band, went to see them live last week!Other stuff I'm listening to is:My Chemical Romance (all of their songs rock!)Foo Fighters - Best Of YouCool idea for a topic by the way!
  2. I've never used Opera, although after reading all these posts it seems that it is a very good browser. I'm a Firefox lover at the moment. IE is awful and when I use it I always feel that I'm at risk, although I use a great firewall. The way that Opera broadcasts itself as IE sounds like a great idea, well done to them! Thanks for all the info
  3. I know what you mean, I hate it when that happens!I set the alarm on my new mobile phone to go off at 7:45 last week. I didn't know what sound it made when it went on to the alarm.. until morning, when I heard a loud siren going off. I literally jumped out of my bed it was so loud and I was in the middle of such a nice dream.Anyway, alarm clocks suck, we should have strange, but cool, robots that wake us up gently in the morning instead of horrendously loud noises.
  4. Yeh, these e-mails are a pain, I get them all the time. Just wastes my time deleting them almost every day.To be honest, I thought it was quite obvious that it was junk mail, but lots of people out there seemed to have a fallen for it! Hope this message gets across to as many people as possible. The people that send these e-mail are getting more and more malicious!
  5. Yeh, SHOUTcast is great, I've been using it to stream an internet radio for teens for years and it has actually become rather popular.Yes, SHOUTcast is free, but you will need to pay for any licensing if you are going to play music covered by copyright laws.SAM is expensive but, to be honest, if you are going to run a professional stream it really pays off. Although it seems complex to use for every newbie, it becomes second hand within a week to do the major things.SAM Broadcaster is great and I would highly reccomend it above Winamp, even if your using the demo copy.
  6. Metal Gear Solid - 100% - ALL THE WAY!I think Metal Gear Solid is better because it really does have better stories and to me is just alot more enjoyable. Never really got into Splinter Cell, a bit boring compared to Metal Gear Solid.
  7. You will need a license for this. It is illegal to play music that has copyright. You need permission to use the music. However, if you get a license for your need , then it would be fine, it can be quite pricy. Here is a well known license website - MCPS-PRS. Just choose the license that suits you best!
  8. I didn't even know you could connect to the internet on your computer with your phone lolSorrry, no idea...
  9. Yeh, my neighbour attempted upgrading to XP, it totally failed! In the end a new computer was needed...
  10. You can get firefox from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/?utm_source=getfirefox-com&utm_medium=referral. It really does make a difference. You said you got the adaware from Real Player. Seems strange to me that they would do that.. You could also try Lavasoft's Ad-aware program. Always sorts stuff out for me!
  11. I use WinRAR, mainly because I use .rar files alot. Although, in my opinion, WinZip has friendlier interface. WinRAR wins it for me I would say the best thing to do is download both, see which one you prefer, all of us have different opinions, right?
  12. Yeh, I had that problem a while ago, I changed the Quicktime settings so that it wouldn't play the Macromedia content. It was really annoying!
  13. LMAO - thats soo funny! Buffalo good response when it asked what you were, that's a good one! That script is soo fun to mess about with! Thanks for letting me know about that - hours (maybe days) of entertainment ahead Sorry for double posting but I just got it to admit it was a computer Notice from BuffaloHELP: Merged as reported.
  14. I was thinking of building a new computer soon myself. I'll certaintly take in your tips. Thanks
  15. If you'd like a relaxation holiday then I think Tenerife is the place to go, one of the most amazing places I've been to. The scenery is amazing (if you're flying in by day then make sure you get a seat by the window)! Obviously Tenerife is a volcanic island and part of the Canary islands. I would definitely recommend climbing up one of the mountains, or better yet a volcano. There is also a very interesting place called Piramides de Guimar (think that's how it is spelt), which is where there are step pyramids, similar to those of ancient Mesopotamia. But on the other hand, if you're looking for something fun then I would advise going to Austria! During the summer it's great there, warm and just WOW-ifying, there are also loads of things to do: the sound of music tour in Salzburg to large town centres in Vienna. The people are very friendly here, and you expect most of them to speak English, so there isn't much of a language barrier. During the winter on the other hand is a different story, the whole place looks totally different (snow everywhere). You could go skiing, snowboarding, sledging and even bobsleighing in some parts, just make sure you get a warm & cosy hotel :PHope that is enough detail for you
  16. I have two computers, my old one and my new one. My mum works on computers all day so I think she gets bored of them & my dad is uses my old one, so there's no need for any more really. I might get a new laptop soon though.
  17. More like EVERY week That's probably true... unfortunately Just too bad that my computer can't do it...
  18. Well, I couldn't find a topic I was really interested in, so I thought I would post on something comletely useless... The world's largest known prime number is actually 7,816,230 digits long, so I'm not going to type it all out, but the 'Mersenne number' is 225,964,951 1. It was discovered by the Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search (GIMPS), a distributed network of volunteers using their spare computer power to find the largest Mersenne primes. This system actually discovered the eight largest prime numbers known. And, if you must, you can actually buy a poster of the number (but it's so small on the paper that you need something that magnifies it). Check it out here. PS. If you can find a prime number which has 10 million or more digits then you can have $100,000 from The Electronic Frontier Foundation. So if you'd like a good life, get a career in prime numbers
  19. OOH, cool! Can't wait!Still haven't bought Nightlife yet though, been away for AGES!I think I'll order it now actually

    I Hate Greenday!

Yeh, I like Green Day, I also think that their old stuff is much better, but I still like their new songs. It seems to me that alot of the people that don't like Green Day, used to like them in the past and I found out that the reason people went off of them is because of an attidute like this:''Green Day are popular because of song like Wake Me Up When September Ends, I must be different to everyone else, I can't listen to their music anymore''But also, isn't it amazing how much music rules us these days. It's strange looking at people arguing, screaming and fussing over music (perhaps even feeling embarrassment for what they listen to).Oh yeh, in agreeance with cragllo, what the hell is going on with Kerrang TV? I just watch music videos online now, if I ever do anymore..
  21. Well, personally, I'm usually a bit sceptical about these things, obviously because of those mad people, commonly called phedofiles, but...I do have one story that is kinda like that, being that I later met the person coincidentally (not arranged ). I was on a chat room and started to speak to someone and I said the area in which I lived in, he said he lived somewhere around there aswell, at first I didn't trust or believe him. He then told me that his parents owned a shop in town and named it, it was one of my favourite shops in town. He showed me a photo of himself. We chatted online for a while. The next time I went into the shop in town (about 3 weeks later), I actually saw him + talked to him and apparently he lived on my street, never seen him around before, but it turned out he did, we are still good friends now. I'm actually going out for pizza with him and some other friends later
  22. I believe that in some buildings that have 13 or more floors, skip floor 13 and go to 14 because they think that it would be bad luck.So it would go:Floor 1Floor 2.........Floor 12Floor 14Stupid really...
  23. Hehe, that is pretty funny - "I AM NOT IRRELEVANT. Please, please, somebody come over and be my fan. I'll give you a free Gmail invite AND a free Blogger invite. Anything".Good find
  24. Well, in the local internet cafe they have a range of different internet browsers to choose from, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape and obviously IE, so you can choose what suits you best and also, when your time is up the people at the desk wipe all cookies and do a quick security scan before the next person goes on. In the library though, it's pathetic, they just leave to do what you want (although it does have cyber patrol installed on it) + I highly doubt the old woman who is hired to say ''shhh'' would be able to help if something went wrong. Dark God, the stuff about the locker in the gym etc. is actually quite scary, the ATM machine trick happened to my mum last year, luckily I was with her. She stayed at the machine and I went to get someone to help. When I got back with a security guard from inside the shopping centre, there was a man trying to help her. I'm not sure whether he was the scammer or not, but the security guard knew the trick about getting the card out, I suppose we were lucky. Also, have you heard about the scam where they put a face on top of the cash point to make it look genuine, but inside it has 2 cameras, one recording you when you punch in your pin number and the other recording your card details, like your card number etc.
  25. Your website is great and is a very good concept, I think it has the potential to do very well.I think to give it a bit more you could add a page for each language and explain the history behind it, perhaps where the language is spoken etc. Also, you could add a filter search where you can choose the language and then choose, for example 'Greetings and Farewells' or 'Key Phrases'. Then it would direct you to that page, it would look much neater than as it is now.A great website, with very helpful content. My final rating has to be 8/10
