Online Begging This guy really wants a Mac
thablkpanda replied to whyme's topic in Science and Technology
Well, you can't put the guy down for trying, I mean he's done better than I could've. But that's alot of money he's asking for. Personally, I'd just switch OS'es and keep my old comp. And buy a pair of Jordans with the money... lol That's also a good question, what would he do with the money if he gave up, or got the Mac from someone as a gift? I mean, he could end up buying something illegal, and have the people that donated to him in some trouble...or mabye I'm paranoid? -
Firefox Or Internet Explorer that is the question...
thablkpanda replied to Judman's topic in The Internet
Firefox all the way, but not because of it's extentions, themes, and open source code. Because those are all implementations that I don't use. lol. I use the tabbing, pop-up blocking, and everything else for a non-computer programmer... Mainly just the features that are normal. But firefox is still the best. No doubt. -
I design in a 1024x768 Resolution all the time. Seeing as That's the screen res. I use, I find it to be the most common. I design my pages for Mozilla, which is slowly taking over the market. And personally, If they don't use Mozilla, I couldn't care very much. So, 1024x768 and Mozilla, no Client Side Scripting, Nothing special besides PHP, MySQL, and good-ole HTML.Panda

I simply suggest the 'cheapest' one. I say 'cheap' because I mean lowest price, not lowest on features. Personally, I own a 64 mb Creative MuVo Flash drive/mp3 player. I've had it for a year, and It suits my music needs fine. However I will be needing more space, Very soon, when I get my new compaq laptop computer... so I'll be purchasing a 20 gig Ipod, most likely, or one of those Portable hard drive/Mp3 players from a 'knock-off' company. I keep my wallet in mind, no matter what I do...Panda

Check This Great Animation Very good
thablkpanda replied to Lyon's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Yep, It's really cool, I've seen it somewhere before also though... Mabye someone else has posted the link to it before, since the thread starter said he found it on the web. I can't get the hang of making something like that. I'm just a little slow with learning programming languages, I mean, it took me a week to completely understand and script PHP & MySQL together. Whereas a few friends learned it in two or three days. Panda -
How Do You Like Layout And Design Of My Site? Please rate it.
thablkpanda replied to finaldesign's topic in Art & Creativity
I have no problems with it at all! it's an excellent splash page, and Even though the page said it was viewable through IE only, I run firefox, and I have no problems. I don't know what kind of music you were playing (my speakers are not plugged in) but I suggest a variety of genres, for selection, so people can enjoy the type of music they prefer, instead of your way , or the highway. I gave it a very good review. Panda OUT -
I agree! The amount of spending this year was incredible! And the worst part of it all 'in my opinion' was that the 'after-christmas sales' were non-existent due to the massive number of people that were lazy and bought gift-cards for people. Now the retailers are expecting (and recieved) VERY easily 20% more than the people bought those gift cards for in the first place! Pure insanity. I used to do the majority of my shopping, after christmas, when everyone's liquidating, and all that crap, and now, there's no sales! no 50% discount! AHH!Tha Blk Panda

The Best Browser In Your Opinion for WIN32/64 systems
thablkpanda replied to jacob's topic in Software
Firefox!I used to rock Opera, but I heard about firefox, and I caught on to the drift. I love it! It's all the features of Opera, but in a smaller, more convinent, and sleek, cooler looking package! I can't help my enthusiasm! I need to take some kind of sleeping drugs... -
I'm riding 2x80 gig HD's Western Digital homie!I just need the space, I have one of them that's formatted, and has nothing on it but the OOOLLLDDD Dos file system (like 4.8) and I use it to store EVERYTHING, it's encrypted like a mofo (even though nothing on there needs to be encrypted) thanks to my buddy John. And my other HDD just has Windows XP Pro SP1, and all my programs. But that's it. I'm using 40 gigs of my MS DOS drive, and 20 of my Windows drive. Tight huh? Too bad I can't afford ANYTHING else after I did that... lol

Well that was idotic on the schools fault. I mean an all glass building, in a place where the main crime is vandalism. Think about it.. My schools were never that bad. I used to get into minor fights and stuff, but I never was in a gang, I never bought drugs for younger kids (kept that shizit for myself) and I knew all the risks I took. There was one shooting at my high school when I was there. Some kid brought his dad's .9mm handgun to school, and fired like 2 or 3 shots, but noone got hit, or injured for that matter, they subdued him and stuff before he could cause harm. Homie, your school is rough and tough. I'm glad I didn't go there.

I think the blue ray stuff would rock, that's true, but support for usb devices on the PS3 would be tons better. (if we, the consumer, had to choose)I mean the usb-mini-drives would be alot cooler to carry around, and store data on, and then just plug into your friends PS3 when you go to their crib, instead of lugging your whole system (like x-box) or those dinky little memory cards (GC and PS2) And plus, there's so many USB devices on the market now, that if you made the PS3 with a 80 gig HD, and 4 USB ports, you could turn it into a computer. (If it could read CDs and install programs and stuff) It would be your game center/computer thing, which would be crunk as hell.Off to munch on bamboo,Panda

I've got..... who knows how much longer?? But yeah, this was a weird semester, that's fa' sho. I'm looking forward to some rest and relaxation. R&R, TLC, Chill TYME, Bamboo-munchin-tyme.Panda

Where Can I Learn Html? I need some help with it.
thablkpanda replied to Mike's topic in Programming
Also, bro that asked the question originally, you wanted to know if you'd learned enough HTML, which everyone here failed to answer I'd say yes. A little of experience in all the languages will benefit you more than a ****load of HTML. Because, mainly, HTML has boundraies that CGI/PERL and PHP, and ASP.NET pick up on. I suggest, alot of each, moreso than all HTML. In other words, if you know basic HTML tags, and some javascript, I'd say you're ready for the big dogs. Go learn some PHP, (Google it) and have your way. -
Was kinda boring, now if it was a true story that you just thought was funny, then you're cool with me. My nephew did the same thing a few months ago, except my brother (his dad) decided to sit and talk with him, and not blow him off like that. Seems kinda stupid. Asking the kid to look it up, I mean that's an important stage for a kid, you should talk with them and stuff... whatever, my two-and-a-half cents.

What Processor You Have? PC processors only please.
thablkpanda replied to finaldesign's topic in Hardware Workshop
AMD Athlon 2500 here.Dual Monitor Video card ( I forget the brand..)XP Professional SP12 80 Gig Western Digitial HD'sDVD-RW and a CD drive (I have both, so I can copy CD's easier..)Floppy Drive (Ancient-old-skool stuff)Zip Drive (Stuff noone uses nemore)The works.. But I would really like a tape drive, I know they're REALLY old, but it'd be cool to write my stuff to a tape, and my teacher ask for my report or something and I hand her a freakin tape, she'd be like what the hell? lol.... okay sorry..Panda -
Oh.. sorry, well Like i said, I'm in the USA, keep it real, and the Shift+3 would give me this '#' which is a number sign (duh) so I never knew that british computers were setup differently than ours (I'm really freaking stupid now) Anything else I should know? And what's the euro? lol..

Dawg, I think you need to chil (no real hatred intended) but what's so big about linux anyway? I hear everyone talking about it, and I'm still in the dark about it, It's an OS, thanks alot, what about it? Would it be decent for normal people (me) that don't write C++ and all those fancy languages (I'll keep my HTML, perl, PHP, and ASP.Net thank you very much) So explain for me... plzPanda- out -
Yo, invision all the way here!I agree with whoever that was, that said they like it because they haven't figured it out all the way. I'm using 2.x.x so I know nearly nothing about it, but the beauty is, you need to know literally nothing to use invision 2.0. I'ts totally simple. Keep it real.Panda

thablkpanda replied to Lyubomyr's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Thanks for the font site man, will look tight on my site. Just the theme I was going for, and the font to match. Keep Pimpin'Panda -
The rest of the story flew over my head, but i got that part. I'm in the USA, and never visited anywhere where they use the euro, or whatever that symbol is (sorry for my stupidity) I despise the dental charges myself though, I can't bare to reach out for my file cabinet and find my last payment to help justify that, but I agree.. well over $200 is what I last paid, for some work I could've done myself (I'm no dentist, but caulk and duct tape will go a long way) for at MOST $20. lol Panda

You KNOW! Xisto.com forever! Yeah I find this place more wide open (topics they cover) moreso than a just developing forum, that's fine and dandy, but then I'll come back to trap anyway to talk about anything else, and plus, there's a developing forum here already! With knowledged people like craig, and others I can't think of off the top of my head (major brown-nosing here.. lol)PandaEDIT- I just realized the panda's nose is Black already.. hum

thablkpanda replied to Psyched's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Thanks man,I'm just getting good with dreamweaver, and I needed a few tips, and this is just right. Real cool to brush up on html too. Nice link. Do you have any of the stuff you've made so far? (I'm infering that you're a decent web-designer, I like checking out other people's work, viewing source and stuff.)Panda
