well i kinda use both and have for years, nothing new has come along. It's only when you start working at companies that you realise that they use other tool and apps just because of cost. I've been reduced to working with front page, homesite, claris ect. And they all have their own special coding extras. Pretty much a pain but you learn really quickly how to adapt to other programs to get the job done.round.

this bit of code has always worked for me. It would be easier if you could say what version on browsers you want it to work with.<a href="file name" onclick="var popupwindow=window.open(this.href, 'popup', 'width=400,height=300,scrollbars,resizable'); popupwindow.focus(); return false;">Sample popup</a>If it doesn't work, then i would just look into the focus() parameters that do apply to the browser you want it to work with.Hope this helps.round

thanks for the reply. I'm looking into the LocalConnection commands, seems to be what i'm looking for. The reply just above wasn't what i was looking for. I can do that but it involves creating one really huge swf file and putting that on the page. i was just trying to see if i could get two different flash files like banners to communicate with each other. It might make a page much more interactive.round

I think it's just way too close to elevator music for me. I really hope there's no other band out there trying to sound like them. Try listening to Franz Ferdinand, much more fun.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has tried or gotten two flash movies to communicate. I'll explain. If say you had an html page which had two embeded flash movies, can you or have you gotten the two to communicate between each other. I realise that i could just create one really huge flash movie of the site and make it work that way but i want the flash header to do something everything another flash movie gets to a certain place. I have been able to control flash movie from text files, and throught links on pages but i've not been able to get different to control each other. Not sure how to start this one. Anyone have any ideas?round

this question has been asked and ansered like a hundred time already. You should do a search to see what others have posted already. Next time you should at least try and rephrase the question so it's just not the same.round

I'm not sure why more people aren't upset about having to post so often. It's not like all this posting has made this place a better or more interesting place to come to read. most times, people post the same polls and questions and hardly anyone does any searches to make sure that they're just not asking the same question that's been asked and answeres a hundred times before. Asking peole to post more often is fine but asking people who have lives (work for a living) to post almost everyday is borderline crazy.

try hotscripts.com, they have a huge collection of php scripts. Easy to configure and very stable. I don't think i've found a better site out there.round

I haven't heard one person complain about gmail. I can't use it myself without upgrading to osx which i'm not interested in doing right now. But no one has complained about lack of space or any other problems for that matter. Wondering if your working for a competitor, putting fears in people like this.(haha)round

Do You Believe In Ghosts? In the Spirit of Halloween.
round replied to LeAnn Rimes My Angel's topic in General Discussion
If they do exist they really don't do anything useful. I mean they can appear wherever they want. if i were a ghost i think i would find something much more interesting to do than vist some of the most irritating people on the planet( true believers in ghost i find to be very irrating).round -
I'm not really sure why you would want to stop people from getting at you html code. It takes anyone with alittle skill and a screen shot about an hour to reproduce any page on the web. Anyway, it's really only html. I know there are different and more effective ways of encrypting shopping carts.round

I really don't think it's about what you prefer, mostly it's about you can afford. I've only owned mac for years and years and i may make the move to windows. Tons cheaper to buy and because of that you can upgrade much more often.round

oh i know, crazy that we'll all end up dead not from cancer but from the flu.round
-
the only reason people are so against it is that it's the most popular. I mean if the mac os was as popular i'm sure there would as many viruses and security vulnerabilities as the windows os.round

the site has a nice look to it, but my god another site to post to. Don't think so, i'm barely able to keep my site afloat here.round

hey! Hope you enjoy your time here.round

do you work for myspace. I've signed up but never really got into it, thought it was kinda lame.round

no clue, haven't heard anything in the news about people getting finded or arrested because of it. I haven't really heard about anyone getting caught either. They usually go after the software companies. My advice is never register the software.round

not sure i would concider this huge infringment on my privacy. You've been able to do this forever now. That's what happens when google marries the yellow pages. The same people who can do a search on the internet for you telephone number, are the same people who can find it in the yellow pages or just by calling (411 in canada).round

not really sure what your particular problem could be but from my end, i find that sometimes the server goes down here at trap. Next time it happens try pinging the server to see whether or not it's up, or even just check to see if other people's sites are up. Might help to pin point your problem.round

yahoo, i get no spam there at all even without have to configure it to do so. Plus i've had it forever. I would try gmail but it doesn't work with mac os 9 very irritating that.round

i think i've run into this question and poll like what seems like a hundred times in this forum. You should do a search and see how the browers faired over all and maybe rephrase the question. Might get different results.round

Desile Cars Can Run On Olive Oil! did u know that
round replied to tdktank59's topic in Science and Technology
acutally they doesn't just run on olive oil, they run on vegetable oil. Most just get for free from restaurants, who have to pay to get rid of the frying oil anyway. But from what i understand, getting your car to run on vegetable oil isn't that hard or expensive. Places will do it for you and you can also keep your regular gaz tank, switch from one to other. Kinda like what the hybrids do. http://journeytoforever.org/biodiesel_svo.html http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ anyway, if you do a search on google you'll find tons of info on it.round
