The ipad is an iphone without the phone. It fails most epicly... It doesnt have flash, it doesnt support multitasking (want to send an email? Fair enough, but i hope you dont want to listen to music, run a download or have another browser window open, the ipad cant do that...) And no, it doesnt have USB, though it does have a proprietary apple connector thing, that no-one uses and a huge array of converters that are big, bulky and ugly. Basically, all you apple fan boys have been ripped off. Apply know how foolish you all are and how desperate you are to get on your knees for an apply logo that it releases a crap piece of kit and you will all buy it.On the other hand you could get a nice netbook with a swivel touch-screen which folds backwards turning into a slightly bigger tablet device and still have a full operating system like Win7 or linux on it AND have all the connections you want AND a full, normal keyboard and touchpad mouse. As I dont believe that ouija boards are spiritual by nature (they are purely a peice of wood or other material and the movement comes from the subconscious mind of the users, which in turn is affected by spirits) i would disagree that this is the fabled "zozo" i could be wrong however. It could just be a name he gives himself.Any spirit that refuses to leave you alone when asked is not a good spirit to have around (unless they asre doing so for your own protection, which he clearly isnt.)I think there is a real risk here... I think perhaps he sees you as a beacon of energy which he can harvest in time. (of course, the name Zozo could merely be a classification rather than an individual name)

Everything was first used in linux as it pre-dates the "windows" we use today. However i would guess that in nix it was called Terminal as it still is today.And it certainly does give much, much greater control over the system. The graphical interface has only certain features that the developers choose to give access to. The rest of the features and options are accessed via the Terminal, shell or com-prompt. This is mainly because users are simply not experienced enough to mess with the more advanced options so they are hidden behind a sort of "test" whereby if you are experienced enough to use the terminal then you are experienced enough to know the consequences!

I think shell is simply microsoft talk for terminal, or DOS. But im not 100% on that.try googling "batch files handling parameters" and see what turns up. It should set you on the right path i think. Batch files dont involve VB.net though, batch files are just a list of commands that are executed as a group, or "batch" hence the name.Shell, i think, in a VB sense is simply their way of invoking command prompt commands using a dos emulator which they term shell. Im not sure but try the batch file google and see if that is what you are after.

Yup, nothing strange there. Certain characters and names are reserved for use by the windows system, it's why you cant put a slash in a filename, windows uses the slash as a delimiter to mark subdirectories. It's also the same reason that if you make a folder with the right hexadecimal hash it will link directly to certain elements of control panel etc...

If you want to have a sort of admin control panel from which you tick boxes and the "items" on another page (IE the visitors page) are activated/de-activated then this is possible with PHP and CSS. You would need to set up two classes in CSS, one for the active items, and one for the disabled ones. The class for the disabled ones you would need to set it up so the text is grey or something, or modify each item so you have an invisible DIV hovering over each one. Then use the CSS to make this div either transparent (for the active items) or grey with semi-transparency for the de-activated ones. Then simply use PHP to register in a DB which items (via an ID) are active or not, then use PHP to create the HTML page and look at the DB for each item that is created, and if it is disabled then apply the disabled CSS class tag otherwise let it be enabled.There isnt a quick fix that you can download or anything, this would have to be custom coded. If you want it so the user has the ability to check a box and disable selected items then you need javascript instead of PHP.

I have been looking at DAO for some time but i cant work out what type of game it is!Is it a third person RTS type game whereby you select your character, or party members, then click an area and they move there, or click an action and they carry it out (sort of like age of empires, C&C etc...) or is it more of a third person action-RPG more like world of warcraft whereby you control your main character and click action bars and buttons and then issue commands to the party through another interface?If it is like an RTS then I will give it a miss, but if it is more like a traditional RPG then id be interested.

Just use firefox and get a mouse gestures addon. I simply hold down the right mouse button and draw a vertical line over the link and it opens in a new tab in the background. When i want to view that page i can click the tab and read it.

I have to agree to an extent.I think we could do with perhaps two more mods to cover the off days where the others arent active. Im glad that we have one or two in the UK and some in the US as it keeps the time balance good between the timezones. I make a habit out of reporting suspicious posts to the mods with a note explaining thatr their topics arent against the rules but are still crap etc... and if a first time post is about some product on the web i always google the first line and 9 times out of 10 i get thousands of results of copied content. We might not have the title but to an extent we are mods in a way, we dont make the decisions but we have the ability to flag up users and posts and i think we need to make better use of it.I report spam as soon as i see it everytime but i often see spam topics with plenty of views and several hours or even a day old and it is still there, i dont know if this is due to mod inactivity or simply that members arent reporting it. We do need a couple more though, but the ones we have do a good job.

You have to admit though sky, it does seem somewhat unbelievable. The possession i could believe, it has happened before, but levitation? Im not convinced. There are tales of it happening but i dont know.We may never know the truth but you will, and if you are speaking the truth then you need to look at ways to remove its influence from you.

I saw your name TF and i knew i was in religious trouble... (no offence, its a good thing Keeps me on my guard)I wont debate the christians vs the rest of the world thing here, you know my stance on it and you also know that i believe christianity to be absolute tosh made up by people who seek power and profit. Nontheless... Here goes...The demon does not have to believe in god or any other deity. My views are thus: There are no gods. There is pure energy. By calling this energy "god" and giving it attributes, lets say according to christianity god is male (the bible says "He") and is all powerful, all knowing etc.. then this energy becomes that. So in a sense christianity is true. However, this is a god of your own creation. This energy IMHO responds to will, thought and itself. So if i pray to a male god then this energy will take on attributes of a male, power, strength it would "feel" male in my mind etc... So why woulld a demon HAVE to believe in a god? Is it existence nullified if it does not? Of course not. Demons are merely negative spiritual entities. Think of a murderer who hates everyone, a terrorist perhaps who loves fear. When that person dies they will become a "demon" they are no different to you or i when we die, except that they WANT to cause panic fear etc... They would look remarkably similar (if there is such thing as sight after death) and would not look like winged beasts etc... They are the same as us only they want to cause harm.According to that theory belief in a god may not be strong enough. However, if you were to have a strong belief in something happening (lets say prayer) then IMHO your will and thoughts and belief will affect this universal energy which you would call god and hence you are performing magick by MAKING the energy do as you wish. This is why i recognise that a christian priest performing an exorcism would be effective, even though i do not think his god is real. HE is the one making the change, not his god. now, this all relates to possession. If sky were a christian or muslim etc... then pray and strong belief would probably do a great deal to help him. Any negative entity would be weakened by the positive energy generated by belief a positive god. Equally, if sky were to give in to negativity, hate, anger, fear and denounce what i would describe as "the light" then the demon has a vat of negative energy to bolster its strength. Magick does not require assistance from a higher being such as a god or angel. It is true that many practitioners use such deities in their work, however many do not and are equally as successful. Like i said, those that do (IMHO) are simply giving a name and personality to the energy with which they work, they are not actually communing with a god. Those that dont use gods and goddesses simply deal with the raw, pure energy as is. to cut a long story short, sky does not need god, and telling him to believe in something he does not will not help him. Sky needs to realize that he is a god of his own world. SKY affects his life, not god. SKY can drive out negativity, not god and SKY has the power to change his own little world. These are the first steps he must take ig he is sincere about this negative spirit and his will to be safe.Sky: There is no sense trying to play with a negative entity by doing its bidding. Slowly it will gain control via your fear (and yes, IMHO negative entities can feed from negative emotions which in turn generate negative energies for the demon to use PS: De-ja-vu, odd.) you need to confront it at some point. I cam not saying i believe 100% what has been said, however i give you this advice as only you know the truth and if it is indeed true then you need the advice that people can offer in this thread. You need to learn how to raise large amounts of energy, store it and shield it from the entity so he cannot steal or modify it, and then use it to protect yourself.

well he certainly wouldnt be your best friend afterwards, It wouldnt push him away, but it would act as a barrier, if he occupies the same space as your own spirit, then yes you would need to force him away so that your shield can expend to encompass your body. However if he simply "connects" to you from further away then the shield will merely block him and his thoughts/energies. A blinding light shield would have an effect similar to wearing a coat made of floodlights. No-one is going to want to get near you. They *could* however they simply wont as it would be very uncomfortable.You definitely wont be making any new friends by fighting him off which is why the defence needs to be really strong. If it isnt then it will just piss him off and he will come back for more. If you are interested in learning more of the occult, and for good purposes only, then i may be able to send you a link. However you need to recognise that magick is be no means a simple route to getting what you want, nor is it easy or a one time thing. I myself havent done any magickal work because i know i am not ready, however i am interested in protection and healing and fully intend to make this my speciality. But i have all the time in the world for that.

Hah, have faith in god.... Disagree. Firstly i doubt the details of the levitation. I am a firm believer in both magick and "ghosts" (aka spirits) however, no magick that i know of, or have heard of is strong enough to overcome gravity, indeed if it were then there would be ample proof of it around the world. I do not believe in demons, to do so suggest i must believe in their opposite, angels. Both of these are Christian creations designed to scare people into giving money to the pope (dont argue with me over this, its a fact, spirits, souls and witchcraft/magick existed long before your religion did). Now, you refer to it as a demon, fair enough, i would refer to it (if indeed it is real) as a negative spiritual entity. The thing you must understand is that you have much more power than he does. Instead of believing in a god believe in yourself! A spirit can indeed be very powerful...in the spirit world (or plane of existence, to keep things simple i will call it a world. It isnt, but meh) however, once a person dies their spirit is severed from our world and hence their power here is severely limited. From now on i will assume that this "demon" is indeed a real entity who has possessed you and controlled you rather than a psychotic episode or other effect. I am not saying that the spirit is real but i will assume it is: He is strong. Strong enough to overpower your will to remain in control. As you have grown older and had experience with the possession your power too has grown to the point where it is you who is in control most of the time. Now, assuming your classification of "demon" is correct you DO need to do something about this. Negative entities generally want to do one of two things, either gain power and control or cause absolute fear and havoc. He already has a fair amount of power, but perhaps he is using you as a power vessel as a "psychic vampire" would (this is an entity or person who willingly or accidentally sucks power from other individuals to make themselves stronger. I am a believer in energy in the universe and that we all contain and can channel and use it) in which case he treats you like a battery, as you constantly recharge from the universe he slowly draws the power out getting stronger. He also seems to feed off of fear and yet fears for his own existence within you (which is why he threatened to kill the priest if he tried to remove him, he was scared). You may enjoy his presence however i can assure you this will end in a bad way. If he seeks power he may try to turn you down a path of dark magick, raising power for negative ends and corrupting you in the process and condemning you to an afterlife on his plane of existence (Christians essentially stole the heaven/hell thing from witchcraft which states there are 7 levels of existence. The 7th at the bottom is life, then it is low level "demons", corrupt and trapped souls and the highest level is like heaven. IF angels and gods existed they would be found in the 1st plane of existence right at the top.l To be trapped on the lower plane is a bad, bad thing.) They say that access to the higher planes comes from spiritual attunement, IE imagine a vibration, if you vibrate at the same speed as the top level of existence then you will go there. This happens via spiritual work such as meditation, balance of mind and actions etc... a demon as you call them cannot do this, hence if he manages to corrupt you then you will be stuck at the lower levels surrounded by dark entities, despair, darkness. My suggestions are thus: If you feel confident in doing so seek out a spiritual healer and request protection spells from negativity but allowing positive energies through. You describe this entity as being a guardian, i believe that everyone has guardians, be they passed relatives or friends or other spiritual beings, if this "demon" truly is a guardian then a) he shouldnt and wouldnt possess you and B.) a protection spell like the one i mentioned would not harm him nor push him away. If however, as i suspect, he is negative then such a spell will repel him. However he is strong so you will need to emphasise this to the healer so they can adequately protect you. The other option is to learn to use a protection spell yourself. I Cannot help with a spell powerful enough to repel him. However a google search will help. Remember, you will not have to pay for such a spell (if the site asks for payment then it is generally a fake) and if you simply read out the words of a spell and follow the instructions then the effect will be tiny. You must learn to raise energy, meditate and control the energy you raise to form a shield around you. It is not difficult but it will need to be strong. Personally i would make a shield from pure white blinding light. Any negative entity will be blinded and forced to retreat while the positive ones will be empowered by it. Call on your spiritual guardians to drive away negativity, if the spirit is negative it will be driven off, if it means no harm it will remain. You may need to aid your guardians by raising plenty of energy through meditation and visualization. The last resort is to seek psychiatric help. I am not saying you are insane however there are echos of multiple personality disorder in what you describe and while i am a firm believe in magick and spirits i would still suggest a psychiatric assessment. EDIT: You mentioned the name Zozo and Ouija. A google search reveals a tale that a demon called Zozo lives inside every ouija board. This is not true. Oiuja boards are not evil, they are wood. (or perhaps stone, or table...but not evil) Christians will often tell you they are evil because they are scared. These are lies. An ouija board is like a doorway. Imagine putting an advert in a dodgy town with your name and address and the message "Meet me for a chat" and then leaving your door at home wide open. Would you do that? Probably not. An ouija board is the same thing. You get the board and using a variety of mediations and raising energy you give the spirit world around you energy and then invite *any* spirit to talk to you.... Nice combo there...lots of people full of energy who *want* to be scared out of their wits and then an open invitation. Fools. When used correctly it is said the ouija board is an effective tool for spiritual communication, but this requires practice, an open space NOT in someones house, lots of protection and wisdom. I do not suggest you use an ouija board in any situation unless you are confidently protected. But it is not evil and i would suggest that the spirit's name is not Zozo. Where the hell did you hear that? I would strongly suggest that this is not true in the slightest!!! Oh and mra550, when you said that "god is weak unless people have faith in him" you are speaking as a practitioner of witchcraft would. I would suggest that you look at your religion and research things such as that. Belief and will are the two main components of witchcraft and magick.

It is a good service, but i cant deal with that annoying ad page if i type something wrong. I just cant deal with that! I prefer a "cant find it" page or a google page, not that rubbish.Useful as a backup though.

Telnet is epic!The router web interfaces only have limited options and my router takes much longer to restart (both the time taken to access the page, login click through menus and the actual process of restarting) so by using telnet, or the console in linux i can initiate the restart in about 3 seconds and have it back within 20 or 30.

Heres an idea... Instead of paying silly money to morally questionable firms and taking pills mixed up with other chemicals why dont you just eat *real* food? Duh... Im not a health freak, i assure you. i weigh much more than i should for my height (6ft 4in XD hehe) but seriously, why would you take pills when you could just have a glass of orange or apply juice (from a carton, not the squash that you mix with water) its just senseless. And coke... Damn that stuff is nasty, diet coke is good, but normal coke is like drinking glue, it just makes your mouth and teeth stick together, damn... You will not grow taller due to food or nutrition. For the same reason that my arms arent 10 feet long. Your body is pre-programmed to reach a certain maximum size, sure if you stop eating your body would get smaller due to not having enough energy to grow, but eating more wont make you any taller as your body will just hit its limit and then all that unused energy turns to fat. All you have to do is stop putting yourself down, there are billions of people all over the world and i can assure you, they are perfectly happy and adept at putting you down that you really dont need to bother. If your girlfriend doesnt like it then tell her to cut her feet off and then she would be shorter than you

Hi guys, just looking for some advice for one of my shots. I particularly like it and i would say it is one of my best shots, and definitely my best B&W photo. It is originally one photo desaturated and contrast boosted then cropped. I then put it through a HDR program to bring out some extra texture and darkened the overblown sky to a more subtle light grey.
