It is a scary though that in 70 or 80 years our fossil fuels will be declining and electricity will be at a premium! What will happen to computers!!!But what i dont understand is if they can use hydrogen and oxygen to create energy by combusting them which then probuces pure water cant they just split the water back int ohydrogen and oxygen and use it again? then the exhaust could go straight into the tank and you wouldnt need to refuel!

What do you mean it is as bad as your guilt? do you often feel guilty? And how long have you felt guilty for? if its been a while then this could be part of the cause for being so angry. Well if you want to look for a certain colour surely you could use some cod similar to that already posted. first of all find out the colour values in pixel terms for the colours you want to look for then use a modified version of the code above to search each pixel for this colour. And you could always look for more than one colour if you needed to scan for all dark shades of red for example. Im not sure how the code would look but atleast it gives an idea of the structure to the code Dont give up, keep looking!

Yeh, i have kind of moved on but i still have feelinhs for her, it just really annoys me that im loosing her as a friend because of him but she cant see it. It just does my head in! Whay cant she see it?! I would never let anyone treat me like that hes an abusive person and she doesnt deserve it!

Hi everyone! This is just going to be one big rant cos i am so angry and i have to get it out or ill explode! One of my best friends (who i also happen to have feelings for) has a boyfriend, now thats a bummer on its own to me but it gets worse! Her boyfriend is an abusive (damn wish i could swear), pathetic excuse for a "man". Me and all my mates are only 17 and so is he but hes so abusive to her! Theyve been together for just over a year and as much as it upset me at first i got along well with him becuase hes into computers etc and so am i so we had plenty to alk about. But then he starts making her very upset, but only once or twice so i just ignored it as a tiff and carried on with life but he just kept doing it!! he hasnt stopped, atleast twice a month id say they have some sort of argument and id say once a month she cries (and not becuase its that time of the month either!) because he upsets her. So far hes split up with her 3 times and possibly once more just a few days ago, but every time they take each other back. He is constantly giving her orders too. Its no secret that i have feelings for her, have done for a long time and i understand that he doesnt like that, i dont care whether he likes it or not, but i understand! Anyway we had a sleepover at one of my friends houses just a couple of days ago, obviously he wasnt invited because my mates dont like him either! Loser. Anyway his girlfriend was there and of course we all slept in one room, there was only three of us, me, the girl this whole topic is about (emma) and our mate (nicola). At ths sleepover emma told me that a few days ago steve (the boyfriend) had phoned her and TOLD her never to put her pj's on while she was there and also that she wasnt allowed to sleep in the same room as me. Well she didnt put her PJ's on (no suprises there, she always backs down, idiot!) and we did all sleep in the same room, but when nicola wanted to sleep on the opposite side of the bed to me (i was on the floor) emma was like "nah nah im confy here" blah blah, more and more BS because she didnt want to lay near me incase steve found out because she knows hell have a go at her. And he kept phoning her up which annoyed the living heck out of me and nicola because we both hate him and want him dead, but thats another story. And he kept puttin her in a bad mood becausehe was constantly having a go at her. before this shes had to lie to him about talking to me. I sent him an email the day after the sleepover, a rather sarcy and very cocky one which in the end possibly caused their forth break up (i say possibly because she denies they broke up yet they werent talking and she removed all signs of her "i love steve" BS from her msn name. But suprise suprise theyre back together! Im just so annoyed because i wanted to talk to her because i was bored so i texted her for free off the net, no reply. I texted again. i got "not gonna be online x" as a reply...WTF?! i texted again asking if shes ok and suprise suprise no effin reply! Ive just texted her again trying to get a reply, lets see what happens! while i wait let me vent some more, it is afterall what this place is for! I just cant take it! I mean all i want to do now is go and beat 7 shades of poop out of him! and im not even a violent person! But im just so annoyed is doing my brain in! Im typing this and im shaking!! Its crazy! But im not permitted to say anything to him because he takes everything out on her. I am actually afraid that he will hit her one day and i know if he does i wont be able to just sit here and vent about it. ill go mental on him! And it wouldnt suprise me if he raped her, or at the least forced her into having sex. It would devestate me but not suprise me. And nicola thinks so too, and her brother is in a class at college with this steve and he also thinks hes going to hit emma one day. Its just crazy! yet she thinks hes lord almighty emperor of the friggin universe! I know she loves him but as far as im concerned i love her but i wouldnt let her treat me like that! And she and problably steve think that im just jealous. Yes i admit i would love to be emmas boyfriend but im not jealous of him. Im more likely to be jealous of a worm. Or maybe its the same thing! I just cant watch her getting hurt like this, its killing me and it annoys me so much when she doesnt reply to texts, and when i phone her sometimes i get a bored sounding low voiced almost unresponsive mong on the end of the phone, called emma, yet when hes not there i get a perfectly gre4at and funny chat with her and shes one of my best friends but when hes there shes not even allowed to talk to me. Which is shy she still hasnt replied and im getting so annoyed. what can i do? im going mad! i cant say anything to him because everytime i do he takes it out on her and then she gets the ump with me and she normally ends up very upset and i hate upsetting her. I cant just beat the living hell out of him because shed never talk to me again and hes not worth that. I cant talk to her reasonably because all i get is "shut up i dont wanna hear it, hes not that bad, its my fault anyway, im jus stupid and moany blah blah blah " plain BS its because he needs medical help to sort his pea sized brain out! I just need to do something! and i need to calm down too! If anyone has any advice please let me know! im going spare! And theres more to this story but i havent got time to tell it nor the space on the webserver for the size of my post!

Well atleast i hope not because then i am too :DI find that if ive got a lot on my mind (most of the time lately! darn friends!) then lying in bed and breathing like you said really helps, i usually breathe in through my nose to the slow count of four then out to the same count of four. And foccus on the blackness of my eyelids! Calms me down alot! Also makes it easier to sleep!

Hi all Im having problems with this peice of code: $result = mysql_query("SELECT 'ID' FROM 'login' WHERE username=$dusername",$link); if($result != NULL){ //username DOES exsist so they cant have it! include("scripts/userexsists.php"); The idea is, this query will take the variable $dusername which is the usernbame that a user wants to have, and check it in the database to see if it already exsists. and depending on whether it does or not it will include one of two different scripts. The problem I'm having is that the variable $result seems to be emtpy. Does anyone know why? Its really annoying!

Hi everyoneIve finally got a bit of an opportunity to do some php coding for an organisation which shouldnt be too hard. But i want to have some php files which will be used as includes in another php script but for added protection i dont want these php files to be visible by the public. I know i can use htaccess to easilly hide these files but what im worried about is will the head script be able to see the includes it needs if the htaccess file is hiding the entire directory?Obviously its no good if not even the local server can see its own scripts and i havent used htaccess properly before and i just wondered if i did use it to hide the includes directory will the first script still be able to access and include them correctly?Thanks

Hi all! Im not sure how many of you will know what im talking about here so ill try to explain abit. Basically i belive in a system where spirits (aka ghosts or souls) exsist and when we die our spirit is released from our body. I also belive in different planes of exsistence, sort of like parrallel universes. There are seven in total but the only two i'll talk about are the physicial (which is where we are right now) and the astral, which is the next one up. If you think of them in a tower then youll see that the physical is at the bottom then the astral then the rest which i cant remember . And as you go up the energy is much purer so for example negative spirits will not be able to reach the topm they will be stuck lower down. Now thats all as clear as mud let me explain my relevance to these planes. Basically in the astral it is belived by most including me that this plane is affected by thoughts and beliefs. Just as the physical plane things are affected by physical movement. And also it is thought that beleif and strong thoughts can create thing in the astral plane. I can explain by using an example. If there is a house thar has been there for a hundred years and people live there and they have a small table in the middle of the room. In the astral plane the house exsists because many people have lived there and thought about it, experienced it etc... this thought creates the house in the astral plane. However the table is new and because of this it doesnt exsist in the astral plane because it hasnt been experienced etc in the physical. does that make sense? its hard to explain for me. But the more something is experienced, thought about, belived in etc the stronger its presence in the astral plane. Now my point is that millions of people for thousands of years have belived in a devil, be it satan or otherwise. and if the above theory is right then all this belif would create a darn strong presence in the astral, which means that according to this theory satan could have been created in the astral plane. If that makes sense then please reply and tell me what you think im interested to know.

Yeh i am of the same thought as Panzer, all isps are really only in it for the money. The only way i know of getting "free" internet is something like sky tv offer where users who have a certain contract "the most expensive one!!!" get internet thrown in for no charge. Either that or as said use someone else wireless or other type of network. (which usually is illegal).I also visited the "your-freedom" site and to me it just looks like an annonymous surfing tool to let you bypass blocked websites etc by bypassing the proxy, for example if a site is blocked at work/school by using YF you can still visit it. It doesnt offer free internet as far as im aware.

Yeh i think ill leave it now as iexplore doesnt seem to be infected anymore, its really strange though how it just appeared there. Ill keep a carefull eye on my proccesses just to make sure im not at risk.And on that note i suppose this thread is redundant! Thats a good point, i havent actually tried that yet, let me go try that! then ill let you know the results!**EDITWell that was unexpected!After copying the mozilla files into the internet explorer folder (because i couldnt rename the old folder and create a new one for some reason even though it contained nothing.) and renaming firefox to IEXPLORE.EXE i now have a working internet explorer...ill try to figure out this strangeness! its darn weird**edit 2!Its because a program called "iexplore.exe" keeps making itself in the internet explorer folder, no matter what i do. And i fear its not internet explorer i think it could be a virus. So going to do a full scan. Also the folder contains another folder called "connection wizard" which i cant delete because it says it's in use by another program yet the folder SEEMS to be empty. I think windows is lying to me. Any ideas what to do?

Hi allIve completely removed IE because it caused me laods of problems with virusse's etc... but i use msn messenger a lot and to veiw my emails i usually just click a button and it loads IE with my inbox opened and ready for me. But scince i no longer have IE it cant do that and wont open firefox even though it is my default now. So what i want to do is to write a small program in VB that will launch firefox with the url that msn messenger sends to it. Ill call the exe the same as internet explorer so msn thinks it is launching IE. This exe will then take the variable (as i assume the url is sent in a variable) and pass that on to the firefox exe as the location to open and with any luck i should have my inbox.I know how to shell another program from VB but i do not know how to take a variable from another program and i have no idea what this variable from msn messenger will be called. possibly something like "url" but what character identifies it as a variable? like in php it would be "$php" but i have no idea in VB as im not very good with it! Any help greatly appreciated!

You can also modify the script as a feedback form and this prevents spambots from finding an email address in the usual mailto way: The only thing you should be careful of using this script is it doesnt have flood protection. I would set up some kind of timing system so that one person cant send emails for 30 seconds or something otherwise it could be used for abuse. You could do that just by sending a cookie with a life of 30 seconds and then check if the cookie exsists and if it doesnt let them email. otherwise its a very good script

Thanks Ive made the sig abit smaller, 380X150 as 350 looked too small to me. I think it looks better now ive also added some more white brushing as i thought it added some contrast to the darkness. I think if i put my name in the top left it should be almost finished.

Ok ive updated the image as you can see in the first post.I changed the text to add colour and a bit of a drop, Might blur that slightly to get rid of pixelization or whatever you guys call it Ive also added some sparkle brushes over the background in white and darkened the render slightly and blurred it abit too.And ill check out pixel2life tomorroy because i think i might go to bed soon Thanks

Not sure what you mean by this. Ive decided i dont like the text now aswell but im not sure what style would suit the theme. Any ideas? i wanted it to look sort of engraved into the background so i tried a bump map (im using the gimp) but it didnt work properly

Hi I decided to make my first sig with a render and im happy with what i have so far but it is so bare i dont know what to do with it. I want it themed around battles in the mediaeval times with swords, and such which is why the colours are blue-grey to try to give the theme of cold hard stone, perhaps in a castle. Youre definately getting the hang of the gimp.One other thing you could try is called bump mapping.Create two layers (press CTRL+L and click on the make new layer button at the bottom, it looks like a new page.) Now call it anything you like.Draw a patern on it using black on a white background. Once done add a blur (filters>blur>gaussian) and use the default values of 5. then click ok. Now go back to the layers window (CTRL+L) and make this new layer below the first layer by clicking the down arrow. If it doesnt move just rename the first layer to whatever you want as sometimes it wont mvoe a layer called "background". Now go Filters>Map>bump mapin the top drop down menue select the layer where you drew the design in black and white this should then show you a preview of the image. it should then look like it has been stamped with the design you drew. Then click okThat can be usefull sometimes

I think the only way to get it to show two usernames in one table is to change the php like this: echo "<TR><TD>$row['username']</TD>"; Then loop that line somehow. Otherwise you will get the same username twice.

First off like said we need to know what system your host uses. Log into your control panel or whatever you have and see if you can find any buttons or links saying anything like "sql, database, mysql, phpmyadmin" That is probably where you will find your database controls. Then tell us if which system it uses, it normally tells you on the first page of the controls.Also what host are you using? That way someone might know the system they use.
