I think this post will probably be moved, you shouldve probably posted in the programming section or something but the mods will sort that out if they need to. As for the hosting you get a yoursite.trap17.com domain name but as far as im aware you can use any domain name with your webspace but you would have to get the domain name from someone else.And as for the credits first of all you need just 30 credits then you can apply for hosting. Once you have hosting your credits will go down. Then for every day your website is online you will loose one credit. So if you have 10 credits it will last 10 days. Just make decent posts in the forum and you will get redits (as you know) and this will keep your website online. If it reaches 0 your site is suspended untill you get 4 credits. More info is in the T17 Readme.Im not entirely sure what is needed of this script you need but this what i understand of the situation:You need a script which takes user input proccesses it to make sure its safe etc.. then makes a new HTML page and uses the users input as the content for this page, and then sends anemail containing the same content to whoever is the admin of the site? Is that correct? If so i may be able to help.

That is a very good idea. At the moment we do sort of have this kind of thing going in subforums like programming questions are asked in the programming forum although it could be very helpfull to have a whole area dedicated to technical support of all kind like you said. Would this mean that all furthers ansers wouldnt gain credits? If so id have to disagree, i know what you mean though because some people will just repeat an answer thats already posted but word it differently but sometimes a suitable answer is found but sanother member then comes up with an answer that goes slightly beyond the previous one so i think that all answers should gain credits although posters who repeat answers should not get credits or should be warned. I think that this suggestions could and should lead to something like the experts exchange where people unsure abut technical things especially programming could ask questions. Only here on T17 it would be free and avaliable to all Forum members.

Yes it is better, the colours suit much better with the text and the image laid over the background. you could try adding texture into the text by using some of the scripts pre-installed. make a background or some text and then on the toolbar at the top try some of the things under "Script-fu" and just mess around, of you dont like something just press CTRL-Z and undo it youll find there are some very interesting things you can do using those scripts :DKeep it coming!

good advice One thing i learnt on work experience was the windows scripting shell and i'd say that all home users should disable it completely, or atleast zip the actually program that runs the scripts. WScript.CreateObject("Wscript.Shell") If you disable the scripting engine then scripts such as this cant run even if your browser lets them. Well thats two less we can count on so i find it very unlikely its anything more then coincidence although i agree its strange but just a coincidence in my opinion. They managed to bypass international security and construct explosives they could conceal, I think they are rather clever. Though not clever enough to time travel change the quran to make references to 9/11 and also make everything else correlate lol

Oh yes. The CPU ticks required and amount of RAM arent always the best measure of effectiveness. When everything is taken into account i also think avast is better because its so easy to use for beginners yet very very powerfull for more advanced and begginer users. Its also very light (i have a thorough scan running as i type this and chat on instand messager and no system lag) And its finding all the viruses it can. I also find it funny that AVG only sees the virus a split second after avast gives me the alert its been found stupid...Ive never liked AVG for some reason, maybe because of the GUI is very poor in my opinion and it looks outdated! Also avast has a resident scanner constantly running which doesnt stop viruses it instead finds them almost as soon as they enter the system. As for firewalls id say zonealarms is very good

I think theres a deeper question that needs to be asked. Why do people use and help distribute pirated software?Well for a start i dont pirate software, let me get that clear! I just use freeware alternatives But i can see why people do pirate software. Old billy gates is sitting on millions yet his software cots about ?90 for an operating system. Its a disk! and its not even that good! Yet it means that you're down by ?90. For me thats a lot of money, im only a student but i have three computers in my house and that would cost me nearly ?300 and my parents or me dont have that to just spend! Especially when its overpriced! If it only costs ?20 - ?30 pounds for a fully working and good operating system them im sure that almost no-one would pirate software. I think that companies that overprice are the ones to blame. For example students like me on computer courses might need to by very expensive software, especially those on graphics or programming courses! Yet not many vendors cut students any slack for expenses. I appluade those companies that offer free home editions of software or even discounted home version. Im guessing someone will say "but if people didnt pirate then the prices wouldnt be so high." possibly. But i bet if prices dropped so would piracy. Its the same case with films, a cinema charges 5 pounds to see a film once and thats a student discount rate! Where as a pirate dvd costs only 5 pounds for unlimited veiws! Same principle just different subject!And is it really that bad?It doesnt bother me that people use pirated software because the victims of piracy are usually those big companies who overcharge anytway!

No no no!!! The internet is our last remaining place of freedom. As much as i agree with what youre saying about children watching porn but it would be the fall of the last great and only place of freedom in this world!!! I mean you shouldnt BAN websites! Yes i agree that parents should use parental control software up to a certain age. Im 17 and i belive that I'm old enough to know about pornography and sex drugs alchohol etc.... Making a law for the internet would be like the chinese government, eventually there would be nothing but propaganda and government controlled bull. I agree there are alot of bad things and people on the internet but instead of making a cyber law why cant we just use the laws we have already. At the moment the laws prohibit hacking and virus spreading and making etc... normal laws already try to stop pedohiles rapists etc etc etc... So, like is already happening today, these laws are upheld so that rapists and pedos operating on the web are arested and dealt with. Bad hackers are dealt with, virus makers and spreaders are dealt with. There cannot be a lw on the internet. countries like the UK and USA possibly other big countries would try to buy their way into power over the internet. It just cant happen!!! Parent should take care of their kids online by protecting them using parental control programs, untill the pont where the child becomes more mature because it isnt a case of age its maturity. Also if parents stop or monitor their children while chatting onlne etc then the child would stay a lot safer. If we had an international law then it would be like having parental control for the whole world. It woldnt work, there would be uproar and i definately wouldnt be happy!!! Theres nothing wrong with knoweledge. There is a diference between knowing and experiencing. I think the child should KNOW but shouldnt watch porn at that age. Once the child is mature (again not when the child reaches a certain age but when they are mature enough) then i see no problem if their own choice is to look at pornography. Also where did you get the 7/10 stats from? I dont personally belive they are true because i am sure that 95% of all 16-20 year olds have seen/do see pornography (atleast in western culture where it is more accepted, i know that cultures such as the indian example are more strict on these subjects) And i am also fairly sure that 95% of men wont comit a sexual crime against women. And some of the women who pose for such images enjoy it so if you mean that pornography is degrading i dont belive it is as much as people belive. I do agree it is degrading to have pornographic images of yourself accross the globe if the women in question enjoy it then it cant be that degrading! I hope i dont sound like i think its right for these things to happen to women because i definately dont. I thibk women deserve much better treatment than they are getting. However if the women choose to engage in these things then its their own personal choice and so they should accept the consequences. but thats a whole new debate and ill stay on topic. Damn i ramble! the killer question is what becomes "acceptable to the world and what isnt?" Eventually it will lead to a controllive world wide government who censor everything negative about them. As we can see with the USA and the UK it seems hard to get your point accross about disagreeing with their actions via voice, books, leaflets etc...but on the internet nothing stops us making a website telling the world the truth. And this is how it should be. The internet is a place to express ourselves without fear of being shunted into the dark, arrested etcetera. Its also the one place where we can mantain a certain amount of privacy. The government always know where you are, and if they choose to know they can track your every move for almost no reason. Whereas on the internet you can enjoy the freedom without fear of people following you around. Obviously if youre doing something illegal then you should be followed and dealt with but im very privacy concerned and i hate the fact that the government can always watch me. anyway this is a very long post so i shall stop but i shall be back! (ps shouldnt this be in the debates of life talks forum not the security one?) And i appologise if i sound very forcefull, i just feel strongly about this type of thing and like to get my point accross, Good debate though i feel!

Its true, we only see what we WANT to see. This reminds me of some silly little microsoft trick where in a set of wingdings font the characters that look on-screen like two towers and skull happen to be the charracters 11 and 9 = 911. Its stupid because what else is going to look like a tower? only the letter "L" or the number 1. I think people like to belive that it was planed by some higher person like a god when it wasnt. I think people tend to fit things around the event. For example the 911 wingdings and everything else have been almost engineered to fit the towers being hit.

I remember reading a post you made about a tutorial you wanted for the gimp. (atleast i think it was you!) Im glad to see youre using the gimp for sigs but one thing i thikn you should do is find some brush sets like these. I like the idea but ithink by using some of the sets on that site you can create a more interesting background. Im not good with renders so i cant say wether theyre good or not but i like the idea it just needs some texture

Well it seems like theyre getting thier own way as usual. If only there was something i could do, i cant vote untill next year and i dont even know when the next election for blair is and theres absolutely nothing i can do about bush. Basically you get the data from the table using the query. You then set up a loop that says "while there are still rows for me to get im going to get them then create a HTML table with these results. When theres none left ill stop." So if there were three records in the database who live in england you should get three table rows in the HTML output each with a different users details. Thats the plan atleast! Like i said try looking up the mysql_fetch_array() function and it should help. Yes it is possible i think. I did find a decent tutorial on this but i cant find it any more. Basically you get the data from the sql query into an array. I assume you know how to do this, if not see the link at the end. Basically you create the array from the output of the query then use a loop to execurte code like: echo "<tr><td>$array[result];</td><td>$array[result];</td>"; obviously thats not suitable code to use but it shows the idea. Are you are trying to set up the forum on your Xisto hosted website then you seem to have gone the long way about things! If you login to your control panel yoursite.trap17.com/cpanel and go to "fantastico" somewhere near the bottom youll get a new page open and in there there is a menu on the left. Look near the bottom and you will see a heading of "Discussion Boards" under that is "smf". I belive that is the forum you are tryin gto install. Simply click that link and if i remember correctly it will take you through the entire install proccess. it was a while ago though and to be honest i found it hard to use. So i might be wrong. If you still have problems just ask again! ***EDIT*** As a side note to help you in the future - An ftp program is fairly easy to use. I use Smart FTP which is free for personal and eductional use and i reccomend it as its easy to use and looks good also. Google can easilly find it for you within seconds! once installed open the program. Your ftp url is basically your site url just type yoursite.trap17.com dont put or anything the ftp program sorts that out with ... now enter your username and password for the control panel. This isnt always your forum details. They are the details you use to login the cpanel (yoursite.trap17.com/cpanel) then click on the connect button and the program will start the connection and if the login details are correct you will be shown a list of files. There will be a split probably horizontally and your ftp location will which ever one has folders like "public_html" "www" "tmp" etc... That is your website basically. The other one represents the files and folders on your computer. The "public_html" and "www" folders are both the same and this is the ONLY folder which is shown to visitors so all your website files eg html's/images etc...MUSt go into either folder, it doesnt matter which they are the same! Simply double click on one of them and it will open. Now to put files into there simply browse using the other box to the file you want and then click on the arrow that is between the two boxes that points towards the website folders. sorry its confusing, ive made an image and uploaded it to my site (using smart ftp!) True words im fed up with people who take in their duty to ruin other peoples lives. personally i belive if anyone touches my stuff or me in a threatening way i have every right on the universe to strike em down. The law is nothing. So what the bad guy gets caught all the police do is tell them they should do it tell them not to do it again and let them go! Great justice sherlock. Why tyest on INNOCENT (and usually rather cute) animals when we have prisons full of blokes who think it is right to do such things to women and even to men. Surely that argument would mean that all police offers who have made an arrest should be in jail? Ive never HEARD of one, ive had thoughts about a virus that could alter the bios settings and overclock the pc causing it to overheat etc... probably wouldnt even work!! What a biatch of a virus you have though. Do as said above thoughh and you should catch it and if you have any other details like the name etc.. then could you post here so we can make sure we dont get hit too. Would hate to have that virus

Do all thats been said and dont use IE anyway! I had this problem, the adware infected IE so i just deleted it and now use firefox and it hasnt happened again.Also if the above doesnt completely work download a program called "avast antivirus" its very good and free if you download the home/personal use version. once installed start an "on boot scan" so that the system is scanned before the adware gets a chance to do anything about it. Some adware can happilly live in you RAM memory while the system is running so doing this makes sure that the adware isnt in RAM and gets deleted. NOTE: if ANY file is brough up by the A/V program saying it is a system file do not delete it, if you really have to remove it quarantine it. Liklihood is that if a system file is infected it will need replacing otherwise windows will not work properly.

The only way that iraq qill ever be free is if there is a government in the US or UK that sets them free or if the iraqis fight back, and they are fighting back, through terrorism. Quite probably, they seem to be pretty good at lying, shame they cant hide the evidence of their lies though. Only two things would have happened if this really did go through. no-one would know about it, or the whole world would turn up with cameras and give us good evidence. And the fact that the papers were said to be forged just ruins that excuse! That makes me slightly worried. The future or world conflicts lies on google?! I know google is good but its not that good! This war isnt being fought on the battle field its being fought in our cities and instead of people seeing terrorism as random acts of violence against us we need to see it for what it really is, retaliation strikes of a war. A war that was started by Blair and Bush invading iraq. Maybe an invasion is what the terrorists wanted. they must have known that bombing major cities would lead to retaliation and probably an invasion, maybe the terrorists are using the invasion to destroy confidence in the governments. Strange i ran the code you had, both the html and php and it worked fine, are you sure you didnt accidentally put the COUNTY value into the COUNTRY box and thats what made it look weird? Thats what i done the first time. after running it i noticed one problem with the website address, unless it was something like "http://site.com" the link made would act like a directory.
