I've used VB before which is why im asking this in the VB forum and not any other forum because i know with any other language other than PHP i have no chance so i dont actually know if this is possible with VBWHat i want to do is change a HTTP request that is sent to a server so that a web filter cannot understand it and block the request. Before anyone says that i shouldnt do that its hacking etc...its not...im only doing it to see if it can be done. if i wanted to get around a filter i wouldnt bother making my own tool I'd use someone else (skript kiddy-ish i know but im lazy...) So does anyone know of a way that i could do this using VB. The main problem i though of is how to make the receiving server understand it when the request reaches them but also keep it secret from the filtering server... So does anyone have any ideas if this could be done? im fairly new to VB which is why im asking first if its POSSIBLE then ill go do some research if it is. Thanx in advanced

i never understood something about light...if it is an energy how can it have particals (photons i belive?) and if it is not an energy how is it created/released? energy is not mass and mass is not energy yet light seems to be both? makes no sense what so ever!Also presuming light has mass why cant we use it for moving things? someone probably has a theory how but would it be possible to use light to launch a spaceship for example?Also i was under the impression that light can travel an infinite distance but the thing that stops us seeing it is things getting in the way (as said) and the way it spreads out which is why a laser can be seen MUCH firther away than an ordinary torch even if they were both as bringt as each other when the light first left the lens? am i right or wrong? i thought that the reason we cant see it if its too far away is that the light has spread out so much that only one or two or maybe no photons hit our eye because they are so far between each other.

I like the idea but i dont think it would work to be honest... If we were sitting out in the garden or anyewhere outside in the open air then it would be pretty usefull providing its sunny but most of the time when we would use portable things would be traveling, like on a train or bus where the light, especially on a train, is restricted a lot. I wonder if they could use a solar panel to ru na UV light which would then provide the power for the solar panel...an infinite loop of energy! i doubt it would be able to power any other electronics as well as the uv light though shame!i think the best idea for where i live (england) would be hydro power....britain is a blody island for god's sake!!! we have endless supply of water from tides and the tidal flow in the river Thames is awesome! its just not bbeing used for anything! useless government...for places like america and australia solar power would be great...and those cool black tanks that heat up in the sun and turn the water inside into steam and use that to power turbines, thats a great idea!

I actually think theyre pretty good. They could do with a spell check but thats not important!considering the rhyming scheme i didnt expect them to make much sense as most people put any old words in to make them rhyme but they do actually make a lot of sense as well as sounding nice. The way i see things is it doesnt matter what you call your god or goddess etc.. how you pray, if you praym if you even believe! no higher power is gonna come knocking at your door asking you to start praying or else. Just the same as if you do pray etc... no higher power is going to sweep down and cradle you in their arms. Religion is all about making people better. Making morals, giving us somewhere to aim. ITs not about who is right or wrong. No matter who or what you belive in We're all (IMHO) going to the same place, or nearly the same place. Everything is what you make it. So if there is a hell and we all end up there we could make it our personal heaven...we wouldnt have to worry about being good, we could relax, do what we want, yeh maybe we'd get hurt for eternity but pain gets old. If we went to heaven how could it be heaven if the people you love arent there? Either way religion is all the same, its supposed to make you better. If it doesnt then its pointless.... The whole cencept of "believing" is that to you it is TRUE. If you BELIVED the sky was green it would be true for YOU so it wouldnt matter what anyone else said, thought, told you or "prooved" to you it is still true. Its the same with religion. Someone could say that what you belive in is rubbish but to you it wouldnt matter because you belive it is true. All religions are true and as right as any other so long as it makes you a better person and gives you a reason to live.Just my two cents worth! By the way the same applies to "satan" in my opinion. If you belive he/she is real then they are real...i personally dont belive in any form of a "god" of evil. Very strong forces yes...but not a "god"

Well personally i would have some kind of dynamic, or changing content. For example a forum, a decent blog, or what i think is one of the best ways is to add a place where people can get their own stuff on the net. Like a gfx submission page, or a poetry/articles/other text submission page etc...People love to get their stuff on the net, why else would half of us have websites?! So i think thats a good way to get repeat visitors.As for getting more unique visititors thats a tough one....people are all different....Remember to list well in search engines but other than that i dont know...

Someone i know has a program for making a custom or private server for tibia. It think it is a very good idea as you can have great fun by modding the items and maps but it does have security risks. As you suggested they could be used to steal passwords which of course is not good. Im guessing by the way they work they would not use the official game servers to validate a login so you could probably log in with a different user/pass combination than your real one. I think if a decent person makes a private server its a great thing however if a cracker etc... creates one its not so good. So anyone planning on playin on a private server try not to use the propper user/pass combination as dazappa said, chances are it wont validate it and it will let you log on as anyone with any password or username. and if in doubt dont risk it!

My laptop went funny once and i had to take the batery out and then it worked afterwards. Maybe it something to do with the RAM not clearing properly or something to do with circuitry, or just a dodgey lead

Love....the ultimate weakness!One of my friends is going through something very similar to this at the moment, her bf of 9 months dumoped her yeaterday sayin he didnt want another chance then got back with her the same night and all because she loves him. All i can really say is the only person you truly TRULY need is yourself. You can be a one man (or woman) show and you dont need backup. Belvie in yourself, belive you are strong enough to break away from him, like break contact with him and still be happy. Unfortunately some guys are like that and it always seems to be the nice girls that fall for them and get hurt. But not all guys are like that, some are really caring and nice and some day soon i bet one of the nice guys will walk round a corner, look into your eyes and you'll know from that point on you will be together for ages maybe forever. One thing you must'nt let yourself think is he is the only one because he isnt. Im not saying you dont love him, im sure you do but there will be others. Atleast you have supporting friends and when you need someone dont try to talk to this guy talk to your friends. And when (or if you have the baby if you were thinking of abortion) then you know you will always have your friends there to help you support yourself and teh baby through anything. Its what friends are for, you should try to take this alone Just remember you can do anything ALONE anything atall, you dont need anyone to help you through life, you dont need him atall. Now what i dont understand about this is why the heck is it a full screen app? i dont want MSN to be over my whole god damned screen! Thats just stupid. I also hate the look of it...it looks cheap and nasty IMHO. The way i look at this is its just a combination between outlook and MSN messenger...why bother? if i wanted to use outlok i could use it easilly and fast to do what i wanted with it and if i want to use MSN the same applies. I dont understand why they have merged them. And no doubt theres a little script inside it that will do the same as WGA (altho i have a legitimate windows i hate being spied on) and another one which will kick into action and controll the TC chips should they want them to come into action. And yet another script that will ick in when they decide to make us pay for MSN...not that they tell you any of these are in there though. Untill they no onger support 7.5 i wont be using the live MSN...i mjust waiting for the day that they stop AMSN working....That wont be good.

yes teh probably have a lot of security...shame its cr*p Like the hacker before that hacked into the US government i think he shiuld be awarded...we need more of these people around...the government needs to know we wont just sit back and accept their lies, that we know they are lying and that we will find out the truth. If it was a hoem computer that was hacked the government woud have said 'shame' They are just paranoid because they know what they have stored in their systems and they are worried that we might find out. They need to get a grip. Although i do find it funny that after one of the bigegst terrorist attacks recorded ONE man who just read a book was able to hack the government and disable security measures....that could have bin anyone...could have been a REAL terrorist and then what would have happened?

I think its an interesting thought to be able to to somwhere like the moon and strap on some carbon fiber wings and just jump pout of a plane and glide in the lower gravity back to earth....but then we will all end up about 10 feet tall. On the other hand we could go somewhere like jupiter and all get crushed to ankle height!That would be a big problem. But if we can solve that then maybe it would make more sense but then isnt it kind of selfish? We destroy the planet we live on so we move, you might think thats fair enough but we arent the only things living on the planet and there is no way for every human on earth to move planets, so someone has got to stay behind and suffer the consequences of the rest of man kind along with the all the animals that live on earth. It would make humans the true definition of a virus, we live somewhere, wreck it untill it can no longer support us and then we move to another place and do the same. imagine the planets as cells in the body and we are the virus attacking them...But apart from all that it seems like great fun I also dont think it will be long before we can actually pay to go to the moon on a little trip, isnt there a plan for that already? i know they have the plan that exists the atmosphere and then re-enters again but im not sure about the trip to the moon thing.

When you say "with free hosting..." do you mean free hosting here at Xisto or just on any site? Many sites dont give you php or MySQL for free and if they do they have ugly ads. Here or at Xisto.com you can get free hosting with php and MYSQL for free with no ads so long as you post enough in the forums. (check the FAQ's and readme if you dont already know how it works) Also (as i belive it to be anyway) you can add a forum to your site here at Xisto or at Xisto for free just by clicking a few buttons. So if you want free hosting here then yes you can definately have a forum and php Mysql..etc...even chat rooms and such! but if you go to many other free hosts they dont offer php and if they do they mostly have ugly ads. The choice is yours though Maybe im just biased!

Im signed up with bluesecurity and nothing like this has happened yet. I think what it is is some spam company is getting peeved with all stuff sent to them by blue security telling them to stop so theyre resorting to almost blackmail to stop people using bluesecurity. One thing you could do is report the emails to your email provider and see what they do about it. Also if you still have the account at blue security you should report it to them. They do warn about emails like this because they know spammers will get peeved that their low tactics arent working because of blue security. Just report them to your email provider and if possible to blue security. Most importantly dont reply to them (as it gives away the fact that your email address is valid so you receive more) and dont give them anything personal

aww its nice to hear thnigs are getting back on track. You could always dosomething a little extra to set everything in concrete, if possible cook her (or maybe order in ) her favourtie food and set up a table with candles and everything like that and buy her some flowers...chances are she'll love it and you'll be all over each other! I think people need a change when thnigs are so .. samey .. for so long so mix things up, go diferent places and do different things good luck in the future!

hey! My advice is to at first, become her friend, im madly in lvoe with a girl but wee just friends (bummer in a way) but its great to have her there. isnt any relationship built on friendship? If you two become friends then youll have her there for you, all the time, and at some point if you keep showing her your good side she'll come round trust me. girls love a kind sweet caring guy who will take care of them, they're not normally mad about looks so dont bother going out shopping and tarting yourelf up! Just care for her like someone already said. Talk to her alot, if she brings up this other guy dont change the subject ask her about him, sympathise with her, say how hard it must be for her and that you'll always be there for her no matter what. If she gets upset, cuddle her, not softly hold her tight, especially if she cries, hold her tight and rub her back and tell her how thing are going to be fine. Really care for her and she will come arounf and realise how nice you really are and you'll get together, i came up with something that ithink is so true when it comes to things like this "good things come to those who wait, GREAT things come to those who try", so dont just wait. TRY.

One thing you could do, as already said is to download the VB runtimes. They can normally be found by searching the web. This will normally come as an exe which installs dll files and registry entreied (i belive) which make VB run. This might not be a 100% solution but its a good step to try first of all.Is it a new disk you bought from a shop or some other form (eg free download etc...)? if its a brand new disk from a shop then it might already have some runtimes on the disk so you could try looking inside the disk.

Hello allfirstly sorry if this is in the wrong forum it just seemed the most appropriate <_<Im using a mysql database with some php scripts to hopefully make a forum (fingers crossed!). the problem is the date format in the tables, its the form of yyyy-mm-dd which seems stupid to me as im used to dd-mm-yyyy. Is it possible to change the date format of the table so when i enter a date it is stroed as dd-mm-yyyy? Ive tried looking in the config.inc.php file and couldnt find a date format line so i guessed that wasnt much use. The way im interacting with the talbe is by using php so it is possible to format it using php but to be honest i cant be bothered! I'd rather have the table store it the way i want it to be stored. Ive also read documentation but couldnt find it :lol:Any help greatly appriciated!NOTE: this problem is on my localhost i use for developing i havent yet tried it on my Xisto hosting sql tables, it might already be set there but i need help in setting it on my local machine.

technically it is. Its the atmosphere which is a sphere of gasses arounf the earth Anyway, I do belive in aliens. People say how come they dont talk to us etc...well how do we know they dont? the government will do anything to hide things so i think that alienshave contacted us. There are so many examples of the army and government being at the scenes of suspected UFO crashes its almsot hard to say they wasnt covering something up. Also the fact that space is practically infinite which means there are almost infinite chances or other life kind of makes me belive we are not alone. I hope were not. How great would it be to share our technology with them and we could both learn something. And maybe humans would stop killing each other! There has to be life elsewhere!

I really dont like msn spaces...1) The ads...its just like a great way for MS to get free adverts out to a lot of people. 2) Most look tacky and horrible, im all for letting everyone have the chance to have their own website/blog but the templates in my opinion are naff!The downtime also sucks but youve gotta expect it really...And worst of all are all the nagging people saying "please sign my blog waa waa waa" That does my head in!If they were to add better templates and designs and no ads then i might consider it...though come to think it id muc hrather have a blog on a propper site rather than a myspace!

Nice to hear of success, although yuo might want to add to your post (use the edit) as i dont know how the mods will react to this post. Maybe add something telling us how hes doing it, how long hes been doing it, how much he earns and such I do want to have ads on my site at some point so if you tell us how he did it and such it might help me and some others out later on if we decide to have an advertising scheme What advertising company is he with? And welcome by the way!

I find the + comes in usefull when searcxhing for things like "This and that" where google sometimes excludes "and" so i sometimes use something like "this +and That" The - is really usefull if you want to search for something like free software where "free software" would bring up millions of hits and half will be free TRIALS so it can be usefull for excluding the word "trial" that way its all free Its also handy to know how to search basically from the address bar if you use a slower internet conection. You can use something like "https://www.google.com/search?q=search terms" that way you only have to wait for oe page to load up. much faster especially if you have teachers over your back every 5 seconds and you needa do things fast
