It's a start, but it's better if you only use Dreamweaver supplementally - try writing code yourself, if only to learn it. It's really simple and relatively fun.

It's only a game - I can't understand why they'd do it. Do you expect every person who plays that game to go on the streets, run over people, steal their cars, and make a steady income through it? Odds are, that if something like that happens, its not something that originates from the game - it's a behavior that's been there from before. Children can use games as a method to take stress off of their hands instead of on their friends. They probably get more exposure to violence through television or through their friends, perhaps neglect from their parents.

I love the Diablo renders but something more techy would probably be nice. The font's kind of...quasi-comic which doesn't work with the pixel text, the backround, or the render. The background and border are nice enough though.7/10

Omgz Biscuitrat's App How did you let this happen?
biscuitrat replied to biscuitrat's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Aww! The majority of the vote stands at no so far so the best I can do is reapply later when I have more to offer. I can throw in another website layout after Sprite and I finish our work though -
I'm sure one of the graphics team people will bring up the names of those who haven't had sufficient votes (as in those who have tied votes, or very few votes) so that no one will be left behind. I'm sure you're going to get in this time around. I'll try applying again for next time with my new sigs and banners. Working on Photoshop > working with Fireworks, now that I think about it. I still <3 them both.

Trap17 Downtime Precentage... Humm, this makes me think...

Nice work - watch it be Christmas holidays or whatnot. Hey, even servers need a break once in a while! -
Here's what I know of Guild Wars:+ Great graphics+ PVP within guild is fun+ aren't too many level imbalances+ No subscription - which is very good- PVP all the time? Meh :/- You can only get to level 20- Not very much to do when you get tired of PVPHowever, I only know this from about thiry minutes of gameplay. I'm too devoted to World of Warcraft to really turn away to another game. I mean, for one, I don't pay a penny because I share an account with my brothers (which is hella annoying) and I'm doing some high end content that you just can't find in Guild Wars. Plus, Blizzard being a bigger company, has more experience with games in general and they can shell this stuff out with expertise. Although their customer service needs a bunch of work. Also, my friend used to play Guild Wars but he turned to WoW part way through the game. I only know a few people who want to concentrate on solely PVPing in games and those are the people that get bored fastest :/

A Sig For Sandy (my Doggie) Its grungy. Wow...
biscuitrat replied to biscuitrat's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Hahaha. Sandy's a beagle lab so she's kinda plump thanks to those giant lab muscles (so buff @_@) but she's also short. It's a cute mix - she's smart but so dopey. I wuv her!If you ranked dogs by their digestion, Sandy would come out first. She has a tendency to move her food bowl to the dining table to try and eat when my brother's eating only to take his food from his plate when he goes to get something. You have to be very careful around her. I've caught her browsing counters and even in my lunchbox for a little snack. -
Wedding Ring Prices? 900 too high?
biscuitrat replied to Totalwar's topic in Dating And Relationships
My idea of a perfect wedding ring would be one of those jelly light up rings you get at Wal-Mart. But considering that your wife is the normal bride, that may not be an option. I think at $500-$750 is a very good range for a wedding ring. You might want to ask around for different styles and different stone carats. Who knows? A bargain may come your way. If you're in need of cash, you could try a pawn shop or antique store for a ring. The only problem here is that you may not be able to find the right size to fit your fiancee. Also, she might be angry if you get her a ring someone else wore. But seriously, shop around. You can find a lot of miraculous things if you look a little harder. Oh, and congrats about the whole about to get married thing! -
You used a barbarian from Diablo! <3The background has a bit too much white, and the text you used for Buffalo's name is kind of off themewise. I suggest something more Diablo-y. Gothic, calligraphic, fantasy themed. All that would look nice. Other than that, nice work! And I love barbars (Korean players called them that when I played!)

Aww, but Photoshop rocks! Anyways, the colors are fine. I can tolerate monochromatic schemes well enough. But there are a few too many things happening in the background, as Nguyen (OMGZ GOOD LUCK IN THE TOURNAMENT) said. Either way, it looks rather nifty. 7/10

Sig #69 this sig battle with snlil drive me nutz
biscuitrat replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Gawd, making sigs in Fireworks with this kind of craziness? It's impossible, Mr. Panda. I just use it for my artistic work since it's a lot simpler. Occasionally, I'll make banners with it, but that's only if I'm going for minimalistic (as always O_O) -
A Sig For Sandy (my Doggie) Its grungy. Wow...
biscuitrat replied to biscuitrat's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
That's my doggie on her back rolling around. I should make one for my old cat too - I swear, she's twisted herself into a backwards circle before. It's crazy.Actually, we got her from a shelter. They found her wandering around as a puppy somewhere in Houston and we got her a few months later when she was an adolescent. A freaking goofy adolescent. And now she's fat, happy, perfectly at home, and she's so freaking spoiled she eats all her food on her special doggie bed (it's a thick carpet with a comforter on it )God, I swear she eats more than my brother, which is a feat in itself. -
Haha, thanks all :DI'm gonna fix that text before GMU gets online. I was worried about the colors for the longest time. And it's really easy to get your colors to work together. Just pick colors from the render itself. Get dark tones and light tones from within that color range and you're set. I got a lot of my stroking and border techniques from you guys though, so I owe you a lot :DAnd I'm only minimalistic because that's easiest for me to pull off. Brushing confuses me

I'm not one for photo manips either, but it looks really nice. I especially love where you put the text. 7/10

My high school still has keyboarding ><Anyways, I've grown up with some form of computers. I mastered Windows 98 by 4th grade and I was doing HTML by 6th. I went to a magnet intermediate school and took Tech Apps for two years as well as becoming a tech-aide (we did errands with computer and site maintenance around the school as well as creating an 8th grade movie for the end of the year). It was actually that year that I got 1st in my state's website competition for a historical site, which was really spiffy. Here at high school, I'm not as motivated to join any tech classes because the number of tech noobs exceeds every year. My school's website absolutely sucks because for one, the colors are red, black, and silver. I could think of something pleasant on the eyes to do with those colors, but they went for *ugh* frames with black backgrounds, silver text, red images, and uglies like that. I hate it so much. To summarize, I'm 15, a "s'more", and I don't like my school's views on technology at all.Noobs scare me away from everything, it seems

Trap17 Sig Tournament #1 -- Round 2-4 Sprite vs. Johnny
biscuitrat replied to Johnny's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I guess the thing I don't like about photo-manips is, no matter how good they look, they don't feel original to me. Sprite's done a wonderful job with his. The text fits, there's definite warmth to the picture, but there's not much else done to it.Johnny's has a render that exudes a daring feeling. The text may be a little blurry but the render and the background seem to have this sort of pulse to them. It seems a lot more laid out.Johnny's up.Johnny: 1Sprite: 0 -
Moonwitch has a really nice scheme in hers. It fits really well with the render, but the text and the background are a little blurry. It might look better if you added some tech to it.However, Truefusion has a lovely grunge background that fits almost perfectly with his render. It has good blending and a bit of blur that makes the image kind of pop out at you.I'm going for True.Truefusion: 1Moonwitch: 0

Trap17 Sig Tournament #1 -- Round 2-2 Cision vs. Phyre
biscuitrat replied to Johnny's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I'm going to go with Cision on this one. I think it's the lightning and the powerful use of red, black, and silver that draws me to his more than Phyre's.As for Phyre's, his text and sig is a bit messy as well as a bit blurry. I love the pop-out, but I'm giving this one to Cis.Cision: 1Phyre: 0 -
Today's my doggie's 3rd birthday so I thought I'd throw her a sig. Not like she's ever going to see it and understand it though - she's content with a giant bone and a party hat. Anyways, this took me about fifteen minutes in Photoshop. Most of the time was spent isolating my doggie from this picture of her using the polygonal lasso (my best friend!). The edges are still kind of iffy, but I'm not very good at lassoing to such detail that I can get the curves right. I could have tried magnetic, but polygonal was easier. Then I made the background a flat dark red and sponged it a few times with a beige grungy brush to get that texture. I added a filled in bit of Sandy with a light stroke, and then dropped my doggie on top of it to get a vague shadow effect. Then I added a grunge text, subtitle, and border and I was done. Rate/comment/criticize - the usual. Oh, and Sandy loves you <3
