  1. i totally know how you feel. i just graduated from college and i had the same feeling when everything ended. it all ended suddenly that's why i didn't have enough time to absorb everything. it just kicked in when we're already walking up the stage to get our diplomas. college had more impact on me compared to highschool. and even though most of my real batchmates graduated a year before me, i still had some great experiences with those of the lower batches and some of my remaining real batchmates.
  2. it's amazing that you were able to fall in love at such a young age. just 10? in our country, if you develop feelings for someone at that age, people would think it's "puppy love". but i commend you for that. anyway, if she said she needed some space, it really means she's asking for a cool-off in your relationship. you have to respect that decision and you shouldn't go begging for her to accept you again. i would want to advice you to talk to her and tell her that you could at least be friends, just to lessen the blow on your part. this will also bring some closure to your relationship.on your part, i know it's hard to let go. i know how you feel. i remember the song by sheryl crow entitled "first cut is the deepest". it's hard to move on when you had your heart broken and the first one to do it would bring a lot of scars. one thing humans should learn about relationships is that you have to get ready in cases that things might not work out well for you. and i don't mean by getting a back up, i meant by understanding everything that had happened, what you could have done to change things, and learn from your mistakes and hopefully you can move on. on the next time you get into a relationship, you would know what to do.if letting go is hard for you, you might want to move away from her as of the moment and process everything for yourself first. assess every aspect of the relationship that you've had with her. cherish all the good stuff and not the bad stuff, so the next time you see her, you don't have too much baggage on your shoulder and you could face her without much hurt or resentment in your feelings. some people can't move on if they see their ex's so they completely shun themselves out, but this is not good and it would only cause you more resentment and anger. it's not good for you. you have to let go or it would be difficult later on.hope that helps and good luck with moving on.
  3. for real? i suddenly felt guilty. i replied to some of the old topics last night. but i did choose some posts that i thought i could still contribute to. i hope that won't be considered as spam.
  4. thanks M for the welcome :)

  5. but what's the main use for it? well if you do flatten it out, it would take a long time. and i doubt you could make it as thin as possible so you could punch a hole in the middle.
  6. i know. i so agree. not only can it get boring, it can give you a great deal of bad vision and eye bags. i remember when i was doing our thesis in a place provided to us so we can work on our thesis, i was doing my usual programming, then all of the sudden, i stopped. i was a bit tired. and looking back to all the sleepless nights and frustrating programming and fixing bugs that have some unknown remedy, i asked myself, "computer programmers are cursed for life". i mean looking at the monitor for prolong periods of time aren't very healthy and your profession tells exactly you do the opposite. isn't that amazing? now i sound like i'm ranting.
  7. i think it's a great idea but i don't know if it's going to be 100% accurate. like what SM has mentioned, there are too many things to consider, one of them is the language itself. i remember back in college, we were required by our psychology professor to attend experiments held by psychology majors for their thesis. one of the projects was lip reading but with test cases talking in our native tongue. it was fun and i was able to understand 4 out of 10 while others were just able to read just one or two. doesn't give me much of a power though i just wrote down the words that i thought was said in the video and created a sentence out of it. logic was part of it.anyway, my point is that you also have to consider how these people would talk like. i mean i could talk english differently from the next person and so on. the movement of the lips may differ from one person to another so you really can't expect a perfect output.
  8. favorite meal for an entire year? hmm... i can't imagine eating pasta for an entire year, but as long as i have variations of the sauce, it'll be fine i would love to have carbonarra, and the traditional filipino-style spaghetti sauce. yum!
  9. i have 3 piercings. two on my right ear and one on my left (the place where girls usually have their earrings, the soft part of your ear). when i had the two, it didn't feel anything at all. i just got surprised by the snap of the tool they used for the piercing. when i came home, it swelled for a bit, and it got itchy at times. this was my first time so after about five days i was kinda hesitant in removing it (so i could clean the wound). i didn't know how to remove the stud properly so there were some blood. it took some time in healing and i got a bit worried when it looked like it wasn't healing at all. i realized i was removing it too much too often that's why the skin around the hole got a bit irritated. it fully healed after a month i think.the other one on my left ear got me more into trouble. when i had it pierced, it was totally fine until half of the week that my ear got itchy and i accidentally touched the stud, and the wound hurt so bad. after a day i needed to remove the stud because it was hurting, and i realized after removing the stud that the wound had developed pus. i had to clean it out and let it heal. fortunately i didn't acquire any complications with it and to my surprise the hole didn't close after the wound healed despite me not putting the stud back.i'm not planning on adding another piercing anymore and i admit that the last one (the one on my left ear) was the result of me getting addicted to it. i only put the stud to keep the hole open but i don't wear the studs that much. one of the reasons was my parents didn't want me to wear it. they are the conservative type and they actually called me names when i got my first two piercings. i don't have regrets though.
  10. i graduated recently from my computer science major. i'm not really much into computers and programming languages, i had only developed dedication just in college. when i was i kid i really wanted to be an astronaut, but due to some circumstances, i had changed my mind and i was a bit clueless of what i wanted to be. i took computer science when i entered college because it was an advice from my parents, i wanted to help out in the finances, but computer science wasn't my best choice, but it ended up as my first choice when i took the entrance exam, from which i passed. i had encountered some problems when i was finishing my course, and at some point in time i was considering changing courses, but i believe it was too late to do that, and i didn't want to upset my parents even more so i just went through with it. i took it seriously at times and at times, it's as if my heart wasn't there. and now that i've graduated, i'm having troubles in finding a job because i felt like i'm still "not into it", and the pressure that my parents are giving me right now is getting into me. i wanted to get a high-paying job, but i'm not sure if it's the one that's going to give me that "rush of blood", that excitement.personally i would want to be a chef, and if i get enough money after i get a job, i'll probably enroll into a culinary arts class.
  11. i've seen on tv before that the best way (or make that the proper way) is by breathing like a baby. you have to breathe in and let your chest expand. you know you're doing it right if your stomach expands while you're breathing. it's more like breathing deeply so your body gets a lot of oxygen in your lungs. most people tend to forget that that's why they tend to get exhausted easily.you could also use this kind of breathing technique in your meditation practice. you can integrate it so the longer you use it, the more your body gets accustomed to the technique. it's like letting your mind memorize it while you're on your meditation.
  12. i do meditation to help myself focus. i also do it so i could rejuvenate myself when i am tired (although sometimes i end up sleeping the night away ). meditation also helps me relieve myself from stress of the day and all the worries i have. i've had positive results, but it took me some time before i could really get into sitting and meditating.my tips:1. find a spot in your house that is free of noise. anything that would easily catch your attention wouldn't be helpful in your practice. better if you could lock yourself up in your room so no one would disturb you.2. set the mood. turn off the lights, or if you don't like it too dark, just put your lamp on dim so when you start your meditation session, you won't be intimidated with too much light. the idea is to make yourself as comfortable as possible. the problem with some people is they forget that this is to help you relax and prepare yourself for the session. you could put on the fan or air conditioning system if you don't want to get it too hot. although make sure your fan or air conditioning system doesn't make too much sound or it will be disturbing especially if you're starting out. i prefer to not use the fan because i want the room to be a bit warm. it helps me loosen up. i know it's ironic to what i've just said before. i only use the ventilation (windows) on my room and let the air come in. i like it more natural.3. sit or lie down. it's your choice if you want to sit on a corner or lie down on your bed, but it's more advisable to sit down because if you lie down, you have the tendency to sleep during your session. moreover, you have to sit properly so your spine is aligned properly. this is because your system works properly if you're in the right sitting position. moreover, it would be a challenge to you to keep your position properly---this will keep you alert at times. most advocated do the lotus sitting position because this is the best position to get optimal results from. you need not do this---and the regular "cross your legs" sit (we call it "indian sit", indian as in the native american indian, not the people from india)---but you can if you want. but if you can't sit just now, you could try lying down, just make sure you don't make it too comfortable or you'll end up sleeping.4. close your eyes and focus. this is going to be the challenge in meditation---keeping your focus. there are times that your mind drifts off to something else. for the neophytes, you could just let your mind wander, just let it all out, don't try to force yourself in focusing. when i tried this at first, all the events that happened during the day flashed through my mind and then gets back to my meditation. it's fun and it worked for me. you might want to try it out for yourself.i guess that's about it. that's all i can share to you. if i remember some more, i'll post it up.
  13. i never watch movies in theaters. i wait for the release and i'd get it (sometimes i get it somewhere else ). i think the last movie we saw was mean girls. one of my friends was having her birthday and she treated seven of her friends (me included) for the movie. it was funny, but the movie house wasn't full anymore. i think it's either it was already last full show or the ticket was just too costly.about shrek third, i haven't watched it yet, but i got my copy through torrent. for some reason i'm not in the mood to watch it... or maybe not right now.
  14. you know what's funny about this? it's the title. can you say that you're having sex while writing in this topic? "currently" is the operative word. i believe the members might be misled by the title. but seriously, i agree with the people before me. this forum is kept clean as much as possible, and i believe the majority of the members are very young. let's keep these stuff to the minimum.
  15. ohno i'm part of the evil group too XD

  16. like what the people here mentioned, age doesn't matter. for me it does i only like those of the one year ahead of me down to two years younger than me. anyway, if you really like her, age should not be a problem. people who are into age are the first one's who'll judge you (of course i'm an exception ) but you should not mind them and what they say about your soon-to-be relationship.with regards to both of you being friends, a great relationship starts with good friendship. your relationship will be a stable one if you're friends with her. i know you feel like you might destroy your friendship if you take it a step higher, but i think time will tell if both of you are ready to take it up a notch. and if you want to take it up a notch, you just have to make sure that whatever happens, both of you should be friends. it's kinda disappointing that once a couple splits, they really don't care about each other anymore and despite the previous friendship you've developed, it becomes awkward to maintain that friendship because of the break up. i guess the proper closure would have helped ease the breakup. right now, you need not worry about that, just continue your friendship with her, and that's something you'll cherish later in life.you just need to gather up some guts so you could walk up to her and ask her out. she already gave you a sign (her smiling at you), and that means you should need to do what you need to do. there's nothing wrong with you if you're going to ask her out. i think you're only paranoid about what people might say about you going out with her. don't listen to them. in fact, you shouldn't care about that.just keep your cool and everything would be fine.
  17. lol i didn't know it was created on the year i was born. but it was still a hit when i a bit older, around age of 5 i think. but the game that had more impression on my was pac man and the space invaders. don't get me wrong though, i also liked tetris. i guess it came down to the more accessible game. we had our family computer (famicom) in the early 90's and the first game we had was mario. when we had our first computer, my game was space invaders, wings and carmen san diego. i was only able to play tetris when i had the handheld, and that was later in the 90's.
  18. well maybe using enough force would puncture the already flattened coin. although i don't know what would be the use of that really. we have a coin here in our country that already has a hole in it. it's a 5 centavo coin. we also have a coin that has two kind of metals. the ten peso coin has an outer ring that is silver in color and the inner ring has a gold color.
  19. it's not good for you, especially if you crack your neck. it would have complications later on. if you crack your neck, the muscles that support the neck stiffens and it won't be able to support your neck properly. when you crack your neck, you feel satisfaction and ease but this is just temporary as later you'll feel the urge of cracking your neck again and again. one way of preventing this from happening is by doing neck exercises to strengthen your neck muscles. stopping yourself from cracking your neck is not that very hard. you just have to control yourself when you feel that your neck is aching. do your neck exercise and you'll feel a lot better. you'll later feel that your neck doesn't always hurt anymore. moreover, you also have to maintain a proper posture when walking, sitting and sleeping to lessen the problems that you would encounter in the future.
  20. there's probably something wrong with the files. you might want to reupload everything and do the process again. hope that helps.
  21. just go and ask her out! take the initiative of making the first move. it's the only way to get the answer to what you're asking. just make sure you keep things as it is. you don't want to make an awkward situation with her just because you asked her out. have fun and enjoy!
  22. testing... did i win? my connection suddenly got klutz. hahaha happy birthday!EDIT:this post is 11th so happy :lol
  23. yay! free credits! if i remember correctly, i'm from class 2005. just in time before the year ended.happy birthday trap! glad and proud to be a member of this wonderful forum
  24. i rarely drink coffee. i only drink it if i have chocolate mix at home. i prepare probably just a tablespoon of coffee along with that chocolate mix. but overall, you rarely will see me drinking coffee. i only drink lemon iced tea, fruit juices and water. i sometimes drink soda if we're dining with really great food. but that's just about it. i have other ways of keeping myself awake, and drinking coffee isn't one of them. i'd probably consider that if i'm on a deadline and i need to stay awake for it.
  25. may i add that wordpress is constantly being updated so that its users will be protected from threats of hacking. i believe their current version (if i'm not mistaken, it's 2.2) is a major upgrade from a lower version that was prone to hacks. the only problem is that you'll have to upgrade your wordpress every time they update their wordpress version. but do not fret too much because they provide steps in how to upgrade your wordpress installation. in fact, they have a technical support for those who need help and advice for their wordpress blogs.easy? yes!
