There is also the use of water consumption outside considering the water gets swallowed up by air and forms the clouds outside, or as some may say.But rain in general, I dont mind it after a long period of fine and/or cloudy weather (But definitely don't like acid or polluted rain, but we dont get those down here)

wow.. that is one long post being read, although I agree putting it in paragraphs would make it easier.Onto the topic, have to agree to some extent that putting animals to sleep through other methods other than natural aint the right way to do things at all. But then again it does seem to depend on the situation, esp dogs in a pound and the unlucky handful which may not get picked up by a family or a owner, etc.. which of course get them depressed and so forth. But still, putting them to sleep does seem painful and will agree to some extent against putting them down, but for some depending on the situation its for the best

What Is Your Definition Of Music ok something a little different
arnz replied to greeze_believe's topic in General Discussion
Many have their own definitions of music, so I bring out my definition.. which is some songs may bring out a meaning, and there are some songs (particular from various genres) which I dont get, one genre which i dont mind listening to is rap, but there are some artists that just seem to talk fast for the hell of it without bringing out a meaning.Of course, music genres do obviously bring out a meaning, an obvious example love songs are obvious examples.. esp rock songs which may seem to try to bring out a point, or well known singers/bands which sing songs to express their views to a major situation (ie the Dixy chicks and their well known opposing to the Iraq invasion). -
Considering Macromedia got gobbled up by Adobe... like all other major company merges acquisitions, etc etc.. It takes a while for the taken over brand to be assumed into the parent company should they decide not to operate the purchased company as a separate unit.I type in Macromedia.com today, and it just redirects to Adobe.com.. But still, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and etc may say "Macromedia" now.. but the later releases will likely to say "a division of Adobe ltd" etc etc.. Although already, theres a "Adobe flash player" logo.. which is branded as Adobe as such.. but dreamweaver and co on adobes site is just labelled as "Dreamweaver" for the time being.Other from that, I'd recommend use firefox for sure.. multiple tabs and all.

I agree those days in regard to the small vocal minority which resort to doing extreme things to get their points across. Esp the case with Martin Bryant (who iirc wasnt aligned to a particular religion) down here, he wasnt a terrorist or anything, but still he was a crazed gunman acting alone.

It'll be interesting to see the USA's reaction to this, should they even react to this news at all, considering it wasnt too long ago that Bush was including N Korea and co in his hitlist. But still, if it falls into the wrong hands then it may possibly be bad news.

I dont mind pizza in general, but out of the 2 I'd have to say Pizza Hut as we dont have Papa Johns down under... Instead we have dominos as the chief competitor, followed by the largest aussie based company eagle boys.. daylight.. then the independant companies follow it.Although the surcharge for Chicken Pizzas down here pretty much annoy many people considering many like chicken.

Tesco Branching Into Software Value software soon to available
arnz replied to rvalkass's topic in General Discussion
I wont be in a rush to purchase software from tesco either, but I can see it becoming a good cheap alternative for many markets. Especially those from the low to mid income range brackets that do not want to spend a lot of money on top of the range software. -
Without reading most of the thread, I believe its too young, but if ya do you do it at your own risk. Thats why theres a age limit in many countries deciding the age when a person can legally purchase and drink alcohol.I understand there are effects from drinking too much, but i'm pretty sure its covered by previous posts here and in promotional material at schools, etc.

Agree to an extent that a vocal minority of many religions will decide the view of many of those religion/s in question. Islam and Osama are obvious examples. But bad examples from religions such as Christianity, Muslism etc tend not to cloud my judgement, as I usually only dismiss the crazy ones and/or vocal minority and tend to see by what the majority do.

I'd probably clear the bills first up, then go for a long vacation and invest a fair bit in the bank on a particular savings account with a high interest rate, that way money is still being made off a very lucky win. Also, even though I'm not too picky on cars (well the new ones anyway), I'd probably pick out a nice enough car to drive (none of the beat-up ones though).

You should be able to sign up for gmail now without an invite without any problems - https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=mail&passive=true&rm=false&continue= https://mail.google.com/mail/ So this section may likely to be redundant, unless if there are those that tried to sign up but cant.

I dont know what the person has against the Amish, but that is messed up and very shocking. The amish may have their traditional methods, but holding a grudge against their beliefs (whether if that may be the case or not) shouldnt be used as an excuse to go on rampage.

Probably I would have to say an abandoned prison at night.. such as the boggo road jail in Brisbane, which now..is having a transitway being built beside it for quicker connections to one of the Universities from the eastern suburbs.Church at night would be another good case, although I'm a non-practising catholic. World-wide, I'd have to say anywhere there is regular conflict (ie Israel, Middle-east, etc).

What Is The Weirdest Thing You Eat? regularly or occasionally.
arnz replied to arnz's topic in General Discussion
I live in Australia, and I hadnt even seen either pizzas being offered. EVER.. But then again, I live in a coastal area not too far from the nearest state capital (Brisbane). I presume you went into outback Australia around Alice Springs/Ayers Rock or Western Qld? -
The samples sort of remind me of the old eastern communist block days and the iron curtain. Especially when nations that claim to be with communism, were really under the control of the old USSR block.Another example within this example is the famous Berlin wall, and the exodus of the eastern Berlin bloc to the West Germany, which was pretty hard to cross into West Germany, and many other ways (ie flying, or even digging or climbing over or under the wall, untill the fall of the Soviet block in the early 1990s.

For example, you may eat weet-bix in the arvo with frozen strawberries or so forth, to you it's just normal, but to other people they may inform you that they think that dish is weird. So being inspired from the "dream dish" thread, what is your weirdest dish that you eat (either regularly or occasionally)? For me, I'd have to say noodles, with egg, garlic strips and chicken strips.. and also on occasions I am tempted to put spaghetti or pasta inbetween garlic bread layers (or toast) and eating it that way.

I used to play SimCity 2000 heaps, and found it a very addicting game, especially with the texture add-ons to make it look either prehistoric, 1960s, modern or year 3000 like. SimCity 3000 was a step up in graphics, and extra scenarios, options and so forth. But out of the whole series, i'd say my favs would be 2000 and 3000. If there was a SimCity 5, I'd be interested to have a look at it and whether if its worth playing.

I am an Australian, with filipino heritage in me. Both my parents are filipinos, I have a spanish-sounding last name, and have many relatives in Aust, philippines, and scattered in many areas across the US of A and canada.

While they are benefits to using the one language world-wide, we would lose our diversity and even the meaning of everyday things such as food and so forth. For example french food such as croissant, or pizza originating from Italy and so forth.Personally I wont mind it if it eventuates, but it may even have a reverse impact to what may be predicted (ie unite the world if one language is used, YET.. it may even divide nations more) and also it would lessen the culture and diversity of many countries as said earlier. I'd say keep as is for now

Your Hobby What do you do outside the Trap for fun and excitment?
arnz replied to jlhaslip's topic in General Discussion
Probably would have to say walking, running, playing most sports and if i get the chance, then perhaps some swimming. But with the work and study commitments, the time to do it is very less those days. -
A Commodore 64 all those years ago in the late 80s, the cartridges, the 5 1/2 floppys, and the tape recorders.. Some of those games are still classics today. Also liked how it came with the "Basic" programming language as default.PC-Wise, I'd have to say the old Amstrad 386SX with that Mega Drive built in. It was cool at the time, but like most days with PC technology, it quickly got outdated as the more powerful programs and processors were released.
