Space is not known to be infinate. "Biggness" is limited to the amount of available space. "Smallness" is limited to one atom.

The Anti-bush Federation. COME RANT ABOUT G-DUBYAH.
uiop replied to PIPER-4-HIRE's topic in The Vent
I enjoyed reading this post. I agree 100% with everthing you said and would like to add to it and elaborate a bit on the "deaths in Iraq" topic. Firstly, Bush rambles on and on about terrorists killing Americans. I belive than any U.S. citizen would agree with him on this point, however Bush isn't much better himself. Since he invaded Iraq, upwards of 100,000 Iraqis have died as a direct result of U.S. actions in Iraq. Bush himself has admitted to 30,000 of the deaths (read the article at http://www.foxnews.com/story/2006/03/10/exact-death-toll-iraqis-remains-murky.html, I specifically got it at Fox so no one could accuse the media of bias). Secondly, the terrorist attacks killed 2,986 total. In Iraq we have lost 2,428 soliders fighting a war that didn't need to be fought. On a note unrelated to the deaths in Iraq, the U.S. has spend $2 TRILLION on the war in Iraq! At the same time Bush is issuign tax breaks to wealthy Americans left and right. Check out http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/ for more information about the national debt. -
Everyone is incorrect about the Google. Google is the name of a company while a googol is the large number that you are talking about. A little bit of reasearch leads me to a bit more googol number related info: As pointed out, a Google/googol is a very large number, 1 followed by one hundred zeros. A googolplex however is even larger, it is a 1 followed by a Google of zeros. This number is so unfathomably large that it is greater than the known number of particles in the universe. Even if all of the matter in the universe was changed into paper or disk drives, it would still not be possible to write down a googolplex in its full form! It is not surprising that Google's headquarters is named the "GooglePlex"! Nothing of course can be larger than infinity. Here's a few facts about infinity (I couldn't find very much): *The sign for infinity is a 8 on its side. *There are three types of infinity; math infinity, phisics infinity and philosophical infinity. *It is impossible for something to be phisically infinate, at least according to current scientific belief.

The Very First Topic In The Counseling Forum
uiop replied to semeticsister's topic in General Discussion
I agree with at least most of the previous statements but would like to add a bit.Firstly, what is your age? If its under 21 (in the U.S.) or 18 (in most other major contries) then its not legal for you to be drinking anyway. You could base your excuse on that, say thay you don't want to get caught, ruin your future, ect.Secondly, personally, if my friends don't respect me enough to respect my decisions then I'd quit being their friend entirely.Thridly, try to stay out of drinking situations all together. If you a minor ask if a responsible adult will be present, if your an adult just plain don't go or angange for a party at your house. Finally, underage drinking is illegal for a reason, its not good for you . Studies have shown that underage drinkers have decreased brain function and other serious health effects. Not to mention that you could kill yourself when your not in control of your mind! If nothing else, this is also a good thing to base your excuse off off if you continue to be firends with the person pressuring you. -
I'm a minor so the decision dosn't really rest with me . I'd love to rush out and upgrade my mobo and CPU every six months. In reality, if I have good money when I get a job, I'd probably upgrade my CPU annually and my mobo bi-annually.I don't even use my computer for much gaming, I just like to have flexibility and the best of the best . My current computer is 4 1/4 years old and I think that its time for its retirement. It can't even hold an AGP card .Probably the most economical thing to do is upgrading every three years or when things quit working for you. I belive that I once heard a fiqure that more than 500,000 computers were disposed of in the U.S. annually. Now, how often for video cards? If your a gamer: Every 4 monthsEveryone else: Never

I don't know much about Java programming but both of those sound like good ideas. I am a proficient Visual Basic programmer and know about computer structure however so maybe I can help a bit.I think that you should either go with the first one or do a modified "BitTorent approach". Why not set it up so that there is a central server that anyone wishing to play the game connects to. That server then winsocks them a list of IPs playing the game. If you spent enough time on it I'm sure that you could fiqure out a way so that all the computers communicated with each other, but have some communicate with more than one depending on the machine's bandwidth.I'm not sure if this would work but you could also try working in a "ring". You could try grouping the computers in say groups of five. Then designate a "lead" computer that serves the data to the group and fetchs it from a central server.I hope that my ideas help and that you figure it out! PM me with how you decide to do it and the results, I'd like to make a online game as well.

My school's administrators carefully guard the copy-machines. Teachers have a set copy-limit and once they reach it they have to beg another teacher to use their "copy credits" .

I try to get nine hours but I usually end up getting about seven.

Dell Or Hp ? Which is the best computer brand you prefer ?
uiop replied to Inspiron's topic in General Discussion
I like the flexibility of Dell computers and how they look. There's nothing wrong wiht HP, they just don't appeal to me as much.Of course nothing can beat making you own computer. -
I Killed A Living Creature... well... almost...
uiop replied to master_bacarra's topic in General Discussion
I'm thoroughly depressed after reading this thread. Don't feel bad mbacarra, it wasn't you fault. You might want to consider calling a vet though. -
Why do you need vintage ads so bad? I'd Google Images them if I were you .

I didn't actually play it, but it looks intresting. You ight want to "spice-up" your website so that its more appealing and professional (no offense to your web-design skills). You might also want to submit you game to download sites.

Would You Reccomend Adsence? for my situation?
uiop replied to psychiccyberfreak's topic in Search Engines
I think that it really depends on the type of traffic that willb e visiting your site. You may want to try pop-ups or some other pay-per-impression ad service if you think that your visitors won't be to keen on <- snipped -> }} -
The key is in ad placement and getting more visitors. Check out this link for information on ad placement: https://support.google.com/adsense/ You could try Adwords for a while to make your site known.

Indeed. .10 cents times 20 emails a day equals as much as $2.00 as day. You would spend more than 20 minutes reading emails. That's $6.00 an hour, you can make more working at a fast food restraunt. It would also take you 53 days to get up to the payout. In that time you would have spent 17.6 hours reading emails. Is it really worth it?

I wonder how many of the "offers" require you to give a credit card, spend money or give tons of personal information...

Blu Ray Discs Something to overtake DVD - 25GB ON SINGLE LAYER
uiop replied to SK8's topic in Science and Technology
How much is the Ble Ray burner and disks? Can you even buy them?It sounds like a cool but expensive technology. -
Try Googling it. I belive that you can get this for free, I just can't remember the name of the site. Try Google again or HotScripts.com. Try http://www.antssoft.com/swftext/index.htm or, you guessed it, Google. I belive that you can find the code on Google's website. You can also sign up for a Google Adsense account and get paid for every Google search that your visitors do. I have no clue what that is, but you can probably find it on Google .

Hmm... Did you accidently change one of the files in your root directory? Those files contain stat information and will cause the stat generator to not work properly on your site it they are changed.
