Userbar - Created For A Company...
uiop replied to MaineFishing45's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Nice userbar! I'd like to mirror the suggestions of the past posters and additionally request that you make a tutorial on userbar creation.I've always wanted to use Photoshop for something cool (like creating a user bar) but have never had a real purpose or the slightest idea where to start. -
Encryption usually involves an encryption "key" that you use to decode the encrypted string. Although it's not encryption, look up MD5 for a good example.

I use cPanel if I'm uploading a lot of files (upload and unzip) and FTP if I'm uploading a small number of large files. I use SmartFTP because it's easy and free.

Like others have said, you should really contact the pics owners first. Although they probably wouldn't notice/care it is copyright infringement and you could end up with a felony conviction...Play safe and contact the copyright owners first.

Bypassing Web Filters a begginers guide
uiop replied to einstein's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Thanks for the tutorial! However method 1 probably wouldn't work unless you made an entry in the computer's HOST file (Google it). Method 1 would load the page but block all images and links. -

Adsense Tracking Script. Monitor Your Account! Great free script Check it out

Is the script legit? Will it steal my password? Also, why would I need this? What is wrong with the regular Adsense interface? -
I'm a PHP noob so I can't help much on this topic other than to refer you to http://www.tizag.com/phpT/fileupload.php. I always use Tizag to help me learn web-hosting stuff.

I saw this article on Digg. It appears as though the RIAA is threatening to sue people who do not pay the fine. The article was very unclear, so I suggest that you read it your self. You can find it linked somewhere on the Digg.com website (it was a recent front page story).

I'd be intrested in seeing how that can be done, even though it seems slightly pointless. Is it just a "frame" for DOS (does it just convert your custom commands to regular DOS commands)?

Imagine what you would be like if you were Google. They need to get many clicks to keep their advertisers happy, as well as make sure that those clicks are valid. I'm sure that they see a few lost publishers as a reasonable loss for the gain of new advertisers.

Hmm...I often debate with myself on drug legalization. On one hand, it is your body and your choice. On the other side, it's very unhealthy and is making big companies millions of dollars for human suffering. For now I remain neutral on this issue and will not sign any petitions for or against drug illegalization.EDIT: Just so you know, your link to your petition does not work.

I'm considering taking online high school in place of regular high school.I'm no really concerned with the social aspect of it, in fact thats one of the draws of online high school. I think that participating in an online high school would allow me to focus on education, not socialization.

Their server stats aren't that bad, mid-range for a web server.$10 bucks though for something that I could get for free?

What do you guys think of online high school? I might be attending one next year and wanted to get some input.According to their official website, you receive a recognized diploma.

The Ultimate Gaming Chair My dream computer chair

I like your idea, but maybe you should cut the toilet and the bed.It would be nice if you could add ventilation straight from outside... -
I've gotten this message before AT HOME! I have no idea how that happened because I didn't have a virus, but from what I've read the previous posters are correct:If Google sees to many requests coming from one IP address then they will require you to enter a code that a virus couldn't read to continue using their service. They do this to keep a clear network line and limit DDOSing.

The FasterFox extension does the same thing and is easily configuable/has more options. You can download it here.

A Model Un Based Website would anyone be interestd in joining ?
uiop replied to PmH's topic in Web Hosting Support
I belive that there is already a site kind of like the one that you're describing. I can't think of the name off the top of my head, but its free and allows to to make your own country and request admission to the U.N..If you were to make a realistic U.N.-like site that was diffrent from the above site, I'd probably feel compelled to join. -
Actually, most "professional" DDOSers can't be blocked because they can forge their IP addresses. A DDOS attack is when more than one computer cordinates an attack to "swamp" a server. A DOS attack happens when only one computer or network attacks. Are you saying that my site will have timeouts every hour?!?
