  1. Hmm...CGI scripts are always particularly difficult for me to troubleshoot. The first thing that I usually do is check if the CGI script has execute permissions. If it does, then I check the error log (via cPanel), which usually records CGI errors in good detail. If you still can't figure the problem out, read the script's README or documentation again.
  2. When I put my first computer together, I used the ENTIRE tube of thermal paste. Nothing bad happened, but it was still a rather stupid move of mine.About the P4 bent pin, that's about the worst thing that I can imagine happening to a PC. The stuff of nightmares... That's why I like the new sockets (775 I belive), they're pinless.
  3. I couldn't belive the video that I saw. The laptop just... went up in flames!I'm glad I don't own a Dell laptop...
  4. Thanks for the userbar! I'll put it in my sig as soon as I get around to updating it...
  5. Personally, although I enjoyed reading your tutorial, I don't see the need in anti-virus and anti-spyware programs. If your smart about downloading things, and using the basic Windows Firewall, then you'll have few problems.
  6. Too bad I don't live in Mountain View...I can see why they're limiting it to one city though, it must be VERY expensive to set up WiFi for an entire city.
  7. While I won't attempt to prove that your website is illegal without actually viewing its content, I will debate one other topic. Police do not need a search warrant to view a website. The supreme court has held that things in "plain view" do not require a search warrant. I suggest that you review the Fourth Amendment as well as the open fields doctrine. Websites (at least the part visible to the general public) have absolutely no Fourth Amendment protections,
  8. Very nice! Google comes out with the greatest inventions day after day!How did they get a satelite image of the moon however?
  9. I didn't even bother reading that essay, as it didn't cite it's sources. I completely refuse to read any political essays unless they cite their sources or conduct their own study using valid scientific means.Even if the war is "real", it is completely ineffective, history has shown that brute military force is not the way to deal with terrorism. Since the U.S.'s "war on terror" has started, the number of terrorists in the world has grown larger! The ONLY accepted way to deal with terrorism is via international diplomacy and direct aid to terrorism "hot spots".
  10. I honestly can't belive that you are asking for help publicly on a site that is clearly illegal. I am under 18, and have (and will never) access your website. This website is clearly in violation of the law, as well as Xisto's TOS, and I'd advise you to remove it as soon as possible. Also, the police don't need a search warrant to view your site, message or no.
  11. It's fairly hard to get spyware if you have a decent firewall and computer knowledge.Just use common sense, don't download/open suspicious files or ActiveX controls.
  12. I just find Netscape... cumbersome. Maybe this is because of my computer, but I prefer Firefox.
  13. Intresting, although I think that I can safely say that I'll proabbly never use this tutorial.
  14. The problem is that most students end up changing their carear, or don't care about their future.I think that the current system of giving everybody a "well-rounded" education works fine. It may be a bit boring at times , but it's great for the future.
  15. I'm sure that your site would be booming if you offered all then of those, but sometimes they just don't "fit" in with your site. Not to mention that there is already a ton of sites offering those things.
