This is not an 'opinion' issue. Or morale issue. You want to see the difference in features? LOOK IT UP. They are too many for me to sum up, and lists and reviews exist. Try, for example Paul's site http://winsupersite.com/ He has a lot of experience with winsows testing and there are comparison guides. This is just a bit silly to debate. And it certainly isn't "too early to decide". Atm following every build (5744 atm) and I absolutely love it versa XP - I wouldn't want to go back. You're not doing the linux community any favor by acting ignorant.

And I always thought it would be the one internet bubble. I'm still puzzled how they managed to last that long without visible advertising (intro movies). I'd like to learn how they made their cash before this happening. Google is an advert giant, I'm sure they'll see some use in it. Makes sense as well that youtube operates independatly, google has video google of course which fits their style more. Youtube acquired for the massive reach it has.

I played fable for PC half a year ago, I knew hardly anything of the game prior to that. Afterwards I learned how much of it was overhyped, so that didn't bother me.My main gripe was, too easy. But the spells were nice, story ok and world was amusing - but a bit too small/few populated. Sound was a positive aspect, music and sound effects were very decent.I might play this game again (but go dark side) in a few months. It was very amusing. Had the nice gear and the Striker's Bow which took me quite a while. But firing multiple arrows with that had a nice effect

Free FPS games? May I recommend: FEAR combat The multiplayer portion of F.E.A.R. is available for free. It seems nice, graphics are - only gripe is that the weapon arsenal is limited, so I heard. Haven't installed it yet, but downloaded it. Savage - The battle for newerth While not entirely FPS, it is a fun and free game. The game mechanics are original. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Slightly relevant, try2hack.nl was rather fun to do years ago. I got stuck right after the java thing I think.

Google Soon To Step Into Online Word Processing

Right. No, not right. They're doing great right now as offering grand competition so other companies have motives to improve. But a monopoly? Very doubtful, see - while they may have dozens of little services, the popularity of those other than mail and search engine are very well limited. Besides, if they'd ever get huge as microsoft, they'd just be the new microsoft in your eyes. People have this stupid way of just hating something thats big. -
That is lame and not even funny :\ Not as in "not funny" as in offensive, just stupid.

Gamewise at this moment: Battlefield 2 Dawn of War: Winter Assault Windows Live Messenger Windows Media Player X-Chat 2 (IRC client) Mozilla Firefox SmartFTP (FTP client) Gmail notifier Download Accelerator Plus Xfire (gaming chat client) Irfanview (images) And Ventrilo/Hamachi now and then. Occasionally photoshop when needed.

Indeed the folder name is not empty. Instead you're using a special character which resembles 'space'. Confirmed that it works in vista. Even after you rename it and remove the character, it stays like that. Ok feature

8 years? Whoa. I still remember when I heard google for the first time. Was still using other search engines back then. I think it was 4 years ago. They sure made some remarkable progress ever since. Use it now for picasaweb, mail, searching, blog ... Especially the mail feature I adore. Damn they made some break into the internet world over the years. Something that small immediately competed with big microsoft that fast. I like competition. Before Gmail, Hotmail inbox was only a mere 2 mb. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAMNIT!

IMO A person like Jesus Christ could have existed. But as a magician or sorts like that. I don't believe in these forces of a supernatural being controlling us at all. It's our power, the human mind. In every age and time people pop up everywhere with these ideas which we could classify as a cult or religion. Thing is in the age of science, proof, "pix or it didn't happen" we still clutch so dearly something we can't easily refute because it happened all too long ago with no photographic or video evidence. Still I find Religion has served a role well in the past; where greed and violence reigned far more than they do now - they may chop someone's arm off but lose their afterlife in heaven. Now? Principles we sabotage ourselves with, especially extremists. We need to embrace the power of the human mind. For all too many impossible and easily fall into the extremist brainwashers. Oh well I had quite a drink and I'm probably writing down nonsense. Excuse me for that.

Windows Vista Secure Free Downloads
Alegis replied to Mafamba Team's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Lots of places to download RC1 from. Or you can request the DVDs from Microsoft, which I did.Running it, and enjoying it. Great operating system and everything is going smooth. -
Not really. It just adds more information for his knowledge. With 'problems' like this it's all about defining terms.Stuff is defined, but not equal to. I enjoyed the read, Yordan.

Who Is Your Favourite Free Host? whats your fav free host?
Alegis replied to teartrack_sos's topic in General Discussion
Don't like the others at all. Ads or not the services I need (FTP/PHP/MySQL). However I don't use Xisto for storage though, although I could.Orbitfiles.com for various large files, and the ftp from my internet provider for images and smaller stuff. I find the latter 2 more reliable because of the forced posting policy of Xisto. -
I really can't be bothered to try it out - reinstall again and it's not just my thing However find it fantastic concept which sprung up projects like concerned. http://www.hlcomic.com/ Half-Life 2 comic, and its done swell. I like it although I have to catch up from what was posted few months ago

Parts from my order are finally arriving, soon i got everything and get to work to assembly. My main reason for assembling was that I could customize it just like I wanted it, every part, and assembly because I want to FEEL this computer. HEAR its first motherboard BEEP. CHEER when it boots for first time! What you need my friend, are budget guides. You could save money by taking lowest performance that you need, best deals or by using as many scraps from your last computer for an upgrade. I used to have a good one but I can't find the link right now unfortunately. All I know that it was on http://www.madshrimps.be/ . Sure there are some good ones out there, for using your old ddr ram etc. When you found a setup, ask multiple forums. Not just one board, but look for forums where they suggest other models because of some performance this or power supply you need... don't listen to boards where you just get "Yeah. Looks ok to me." or "Hmm seems expensive I think". The hardware gurus are lurking somewhere! Not sure about here, haven't checked.

From my own experience and how I noticed other people experience: full flash sites: a no-no. Sure it may seem all stylish, but I find them clothering. I don't like to browse through them. I don't like to wait a minute to load each small page with very small info (which isn't that easy to update). I don't like crappy animations. I don't like the dimensions. I'm still of opinion sites should primarily deliver content and not a package with a ribbon. 100mb is way too much and is ridiculous. A little flahs like say, a menu or a banner can make a site look good. But full flash I've always loathed and I can't bother viewing them anymore, they anger me and others too much. They usually don't have much content anyways and I'd rather see it on a text website. Simple can be beautiful too. I'm more for simple but effective design, preferably in white. But - you do what you want to do

Bought 2 1 gigabyte ram modules today. Well, I reckon it'll be enough. I doubt I'd experience a notable difference when using 4 modules (other than the price, which would be even higher). They're PC 4200 DDR2 ram, Valueram from Kingston. They're supposed to be set on a motherboard I'll be receiving later, a P5B deluxe if I recall. Edit:HV1125UKDE ASUS P5B Deluxe Wifi, Sock.775 Intel P965, ATXChecked everything, should be all compatible. If something aint correct size I'll go cut it off

This is retarded, which is better. GREEN OR BLUE? WHICH ONE IS THE BEST COLOR - EVER???? They don't do the same thing (as in, they don't play the same games that appeal to you or play [with the controllers] as you want them to). System specs - who gives a crap, it's how they're used. "Oh yes; I want PS3 for x more megahurtzzzz!" "my megahurtzz have been stoled!!!" Oh well, the rambling aside, I'm a pc gamer for obvious gaming reasons (I do more, modifications, integrated programs, mouse and keyboard etc). Thus for console, I don't want to play the games I play on PC anyways. Thus nintendo. Thus Wii, stuff I can't do on my beloved PC. Console games of xbox and PS tend to be mostly "turn analog stick around and wield the big sword by spamming button A, autoaim included". Although console is catching up a bit with multiplayer, it is still a nerfed version of pc game experience to me. To others who prefer those autoaim games and play in their coach, sure. Although there are plenty of neat ergonomic chairs if the coach is the problem. I usually fall asleep/passive in coach anyways, this is more productive to me. I also think PS3 is highly overpriced. But sure, those that want to spend the cash on it just to play gran turismo. Though there are other (even more neat to me) racing games and Final Fantasy franchise isnt a sole exclusivity anymore. Have fun with the PS3 anyways. I reckon I'll have lots of fun with my upgraded PC and the Wii for when I feel like something else, or those awesome party games when people come over.

Steve Irwin, 44: Famed 'croc' Hunter
Alegis replied to xboxrulz1405241485's topic in Websites and Web Designing
It is very ironic, the man who battles/wrestles crocodiles to be murdered by a fish. I have troubles imagining the barb of a stringray to pierce through the man's chest. That must have been one bigass stingray. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/5311298.stm My respect/awe for stingrays has increased. Never thought them to be capable of that. -
Firefox 2 beta 2 is out! https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/desktop/ Extensions Extensions installed under previous versions of Firefox may be incompatible with Firefox 2 Beta 2. (None will work right now atm - but still like it. Hope adblock updates soon) While some claim it's not as good as they hoped just because the version number, I disagree. I like the new layout and the few good features, as well as a performance boost I noticed. (And most likely better stability vs some extensions that may cause memory leaks). Besides from that, streamed media seems to work for me again at last. I like Firefox even more now, and deserved its version number (of all the improvements since 1.0; definitely). I don't use any of the other mozilla products as I don't need them (I don't use mail clients). I've tried Camino on the mac though and thought it was a great product too. The extension fanbase makes it great. Mozilla is also decently fast with updating the browser to support the latest css code etc.

Hoping for some great FPS experience

Or drag and drop the video file in something like Windows Movie Maker? I can't test it right now because I'm not running Servicepack 2. If you can't find decent program, try http://www.snapfiles.com/. Some good freeware apps there; program I downloaded a day or two yesterday can save only the video as well. http://www.snapfiles.com/get/blazemedia.html

Software Ownership first sale doctrine
Alegis replied to okwhen's topic in Websites and Web Designing
1 Installation and use. You may install, use, access, display and run one copy of the Software on a single computer, such as a workstation, terminal or other device ("Workstation Computer"). The Software may not be used by more than one processor at any one time on any single Workstation Computer. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/products/windows 10. NOT FOR RESALE SOFTWARE. Software identified as "Not For Resale" or "NFR," may not be sold or otherwise transferred for value, or used for any purpose other than demonstration, test or evaluation. I do think Windows XP falls under the NFR category. Anyways, so that means its not legit from Microsoft, who grants you activation and else you're running an illegal copy of Windows. Repackage and resale it, but Microsoft will not have to activate you at all. And on an internet forum, not everyone is from the United States. Anyway, software is licensed, and not just sold, under an EULA agreement. 'Sold' under the Uniform Commercial Code https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform_Commercial_Code -
Make Your Windows Some Funky how to make windows look better
Alegis replied to biso38's topic in Websites and Web Designing
StyleXP from TGTsoft is a great program, it can be used for loginscreens, icons and most importantly: visual themes. A package of visual themes that I really like is the Vista Transformation Pack from neowin.net. I simply love the Royale Glass theme. An example of it, although the one I'm using now is using a darker shade of blue Check the package out Also includes a way to change login screens, transfer windows, into one of the vista themes without the need for an extra program like styleXP
