My second tutorial after the S60 Font Change. A 4.7GB DVD is capable of holding upto 6 movie files (700MB DVDRips), people with DIVX players dont have any problems playing such content but for some who have only DVD/VCD/MP3 etc players with no chance of playing DIVX content would find this tutorial helpful. Well, hopefully this should work for all. Scene : You have 700MB DVDRips (.avi) of your favourite movies (Backed up from a DVD ofcourse lol) and you want to put them on a DVD making them a 3 in 1 DVD. Thats 700MB x 3 in ONE DVD. Tools Required : Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 (NOT FREE $39.99) >> LINK << DVDShrink (FREE) >> LINK << Atleast/Minimum 12 - 13 GB of free space in your hard-disk. Lots of time !! lol Procedure : Aight so lets get started ... STEP 1 : Open up Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 Launcher from your desktop and select under Video Disk > New Project. Under Create a Video Disk select DVD and hit OK. When the Software Opens up, select Start Project > New Project > DVD and click NEXT. In the next section do the following : Add Video Files UNTICK Create Menu. SELECT the clip and CLICK Project Settings. Under Project Settings TICK - Do Not Convert MPEG complaint Files , TICK - Two-Pass Conversion , then CLICK Change MPEG Settings... > Customize ... Under Customize .. Frame Size : Standard (720 x 480) Display Aspect Ration 4:3 Under Compression Tab ... Quality : 100% TICK : Two-Pass Encode. Video Data Rate : Variable - 5500 kbps Audio Format : Dolby Digital Audio Bit Rate : 192 kbps Then hit NEXT .. then again NEXT till you come to the BURN screen. UNTICK : Create to Disk TICK : Create DVD Folders. Select a BLANK folder you want your files to be saved in (12 - 13GB Min Free) HIT BURN ! (Bottom Right) STEP 1 COMPLETE ! You will have to wait for like 7 - 8 Hrs depending on your PC Speed. But its worth. Please do take notice that during this time you PC will run slow ... HELL slow lol ... So its time for a nice nap ! STEP 2 : After the Conversion is complete, CLOSE Ulead Movie Factory. OPEN DVD Shrink 3.2. CLICK Open Files , and select the MAIN folder that has the 2 folders (Audio and Video). The software will analyse the frames etc and finally show you the main software screen. Open up the Main Movie tree and select Title 1. On the right side under Compression Settings > Select Custom Ratio. Slide the bar left-wise to the LOWEST % it can go. Hit Backup on the ToolBar. Select Backup Target as Hard Disk Folder Select a NEW Target folder. Under Quality Settings TICK Compress video with high quality error ...blah blah (Default) Hit OK.. STEP 2 COMPLETE !! Your backup will now start and this time you can use your PC a little. DVD Shrink does not hang up ur system so much. This process takes say an Hr and a half to the MAX. STEP 3 : Now AGAIN Open up Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 Launcher from your desktop and select under Video Disk > New Project. Under Create a Video Disk select DVD and hit OK. When the Software Opens up, select Start Project > New Project > DVD and click NEXT. In the next screen do the Following : Click to Import DVD-Video from Hard Disk or File. Click the Import DVD Folder button. Select your folder from the list and hit OK. In the next dialogue, Under disk label .. TICK Title 0 (Chapter 0 gets auto selected) and hit IMPORT. After the import process .. it adds the file to the timeline. Do the same with the rest 2 folders you made from STEP 1 and STEP 2. Let the Create Menu option remain TICKED this time. Create the Menu as you want it to be shown on your DVD player. And this time INSERT a blank DVD and select the dvd writer from the list And BURN baby BURN ! You will now have a 3 in 1 DVD, fully playable in your DVD standalone player. Oh and just incase your DVD dosent fit into the DVD in step 3 ? I would suggest you lower the Video Bitrate to say 5200 and Re-Encode .. crazy i know .. but this seems to be the BEST way to preserve quality and stuff in 3 movies lol. Asta gives you the option of PHP and MySQL when you apply for a hosting. And WordPress 2.0.3 also asks for the same Specs. Just d'load a copy of WordPress from >> HERE << and unzip to your desktop .. open the html readme file in the folder and go according to their instructions (which are pretty simple for a newbie also). And once ur blog is set up then you go searching for templates and tweaks etc .. and play around with ur site a little .. wen ur shure that u are able to do everything u need and ur all hand on with the controls of WordPress, i'd suggest you to remove ur installation and re-install it completely .. and apply the hacks and tweaks once again ... and finally BACKUP your site. I first thought the same m^e .. it could have been an Arial font with a little Photoshop effects. But the reason i asked this was that i have seen a font somewhere similar to this a while ago, but didnt quiet bother then. For all you M$N Messenger fans, the good news is that some sites have somewhat confirmed the Public release date of WLM 8. Tho no one mentioned M$ in the updated news, its believed that it could be true. Windows Messenger will be made available to the public in 8 days, Friday 16th June 2006. WLM 8 (if released) will be the first software package to come out of the Beta stage of the Windows Live Range. If anyone can confirm this news in relation to M$, then please be kind enough to post. After a long wait, M$ released a Beta version of its new Operating System to the Public. Windows Vista Beta 2 with RC1 was released to the public 2 days ago on their official website. This release is 5384.4, the same release given out at WinHEC 2006. Its no surprise that M$ is cutting out features in its releases. For example the most recent cut-out .. The PC-to-PC synchronization from Vista. M$ says Quality was the reason for their latest cut. Anyways, the P2P feature as promised wil be delivered to the customers in the near future. Hope its not too futurish. Wonder what will be left of vista if they keep cutting stuff out of it. Maybe a NEW Windows XP with loads of nice pretty BSOD's . For the more inquisitive lot, I had tested the Beta 1 release but there were some problems with my nVidia drivers not being supported. So for people who are with nvidia cards, i suggest you take the extra precaution. Nvidia has released the beta drivers for Win Vista, but for some odd reason they show a BSOD on installation with vista. Herez my contribution, dont know if this is legal so i wont start unless the go is given. How about everyone send invitations to themselves and just add the link here as below. A little backup help for WordPress (WP) running site owners. The Only way till now is to back up WP via MySQL manual backup or by plug-ins. In either case i am still not able to find a complete backup solution, where with one click i can back up the WP DB and also the complete folder where WP is installed (root). Well here's what i've found, but if anyone has more useful plugins then please do share with us. Hey my teacher said that to me once while i got caught copying for multiplication Tables ... (This was long B4 .. ) lol ... Microsoft is comming up with a new image format called the Windows Media Photo (WMP). WMP will be an addition to the resident picture formats like JPG, PNG, BMP etc. Its said to be compressed as in smaller size for pictures. The website gives a .doc on the advanced specs. for the file format so if anyone of you techies need to have a look >> HERE << is the site. The version i d'loaded 3 days ago was just 440MB .. it was called MicrosoftÂŽ Office Professional Plus 2007. Anyways the rest of the softwares that come under the Office Beta banner are: I D'loaded most of them, but havent installed yet .. scares me to death when it comes to "beta" by microsoft. But unless i hear from reviews that this version of beta can save files in a format that can be opened by Office 2003, only then would i go ahead and install and recommend. Cause therz no point using it and people not being able to take advantage of it. Newayz, incase u tried it, please do let us know if a new file saved in Office 2007 could be opened in Office 2003. Etisalat Monopoly in the gulf ROCKS ! lol Call me a bummer, but with the rate my Service provider is going, a normal university student cant afford to use this service, well only if i was a sheikh's son ,, but then even if prices dropped, these guys still have a catch at every end. Only one thing good i might say about these guys, is that they have a "fairly" good customer support.
