  1. I know Adobe GoLive. I have not used it yet but I am planning to. I have seen the preview on how to use it at the Adobe website, and I find it easy to use and navigate. You can drag and drop some stuff which makes it easier to create and design webpages. Right now I am comfortable using Microsoft Frontpage Express and Adobe ImageReady and I will stick with those two for now. I am planning to use Macromedia Dreamweaver and Adobe GoLive in the not so long future.
  2. I hope google could integrate all their services in just one person's account. I mean, we should not register for another service of theirs if we already have an account from Gmail. If you have a Gmail account you could automaticcaly have the free service for the web account etc.
  3. I have not seen much movies based on the books, although most people like watching those kind because they could compare if the movies have been faithful to the versions from the book. They would usually react violently when the movie version is not as good or interesting as the book version. While some would congratulate the directors and the screenplay for not following the book. They like it because the ending would be different, though not entirely, from that of the book's.One of the from-the-book-movie coming is the The Da Vinci Code.
  4. Congratulations!! I hope you will enjoy the beniefits of being a Trap 17 member. I have been a member for more than a year now, and it is only now that I got problem with my account. My website account was terminated for my inactivity for about a month, so keep posting and a;ways be active. Keep collecting more credits for security!
  5. Pop-up windows and Pop-unders have always been annoying for me! I hate them and I do not want to one at my one site, because I know people do hate them too! They usually slow down my computers evertime I am surfing and There are times when adult pop-ups would just come out when I hvae my family around me while I am on the computer. They are worthless most of the time, and just waste my time.
  6. Our first personal computer was a second hand, hand-me-down from our relatives in the United States. it was Pentium III and works perfectly fine during the first months. And after few more months we needed a better personal computer because the school is asking for more advance paper works and presentation so we bought another one. I am now using a pentium four PC that works as my workstation in freelance webdesigning and graphic arts works. I am using this as my school, I am studying by myself using free stuffs and online tutorials.
  7. There aren't much new topics here at Trap 17, but I still check those psts made by latest members and try to reply to their comments. This way we can continue conversing.I always open the FIR (First Information Report) for the latest news and topics about technology and some weird news. This keeps me up to date with what is happening around the world while I am busy using my personal computer alone at hoe. I even get to find out the latest news from abroad than what is happening around the neighborhood. Though I do not post much on the tutorials section, i read them and try to work on the tips given by the members.I have been a part of Trap 17 for almost a year and a half already, and I am not in the stage where I am into making posts and comments just to add up my credits. I am now into the information and the members views regarding certain issues.
  8. I also eat Balut but not that often. maybe I average twice a month. I like the juice and the yolk. I don't eat the chick most of the time, i give it to my sister who could eat four or five Baluts in one sitting. Eating Balut has been part of the Filipino culture, and you wouldn't be recognized as a true Filipino if you haven't eaten one. Balut is being sold at the street mostly at night time because it doesn't look good, so you have to eat it in dimly lit place. hehehe
  9. This is so cool! $1million is an achievement. Their contents must be really that good to earn such amount of money from google adsense. I only recieved about $150 from Google Adsense, I hope to achieved atleast a fraction from that of Jason Calacanis'.
  10. Congratulations!! I have been gone for more than a month, and a lot of things have already happened here at Trap 17 Forum. I congratulate Admin OpaQue and The Moderators, I hope you could still managed these hard-headed members of the forum j/k
  11. This is because they can pay people from outside the united states much much cheaper for their labor, than the united states citizens. I am in a counrty which benefits from the outsourceing business so I am definitely in favor of it. Outsourcing has generated thousands of job for us here, and the business is still growing. Every week on the news papers' classified and job market sections everyone is looking for new employees for call centers and telemarketing. The basic salary is bigger than most professional jobs. And they get wage increase often. That is why some people are shifting from their professional careers to call center jobs.
  12. We have been waiting for thins thing from Google for a long time already. And our dream is finally starting to come true. I tried to register but they are currently not ope for new sign-ups. I guess there are so much demands on the service. I hope the pages will not have those advertisements like yahoo geocities's. I expect it to have ads but not as annoying as gecocities'. I hope they would also iclude us on they pay-per-click business, we will get paid just by using this service from Google.
  13. I forgot, I collected postage stamps when my father was abroad working at the middle east (Kuwait and Saudi Arabia) and at south africa. I can't wait to recieve his snail mails from other country.
  14. I used to wear eye glasses when I was in highschool. We were required to have medical exams before entering highschool and I was diagnosed to be near sighted. I hated it! I do not look great on eye glasses. Fortunately, after two years my eye sight were already perfect and I have to dispose those glasses. And lucky for me, I still do not need to wear eye glasses again. I am in front of the computer monitor all the time, yet my eye sight is still good. I can still see details on objects from a far. But I should start exercising my eyes to prevent eye sight problems, like resting for a few minutes after every half hour in front of screen.
  15. I collect stuff about this particular blond american singer, from her CDs to her books. And those news articles about her, and books written and published about her. I trade live concert recordings (bootlegs from her shows0 with other fans. I also collect FHM Philippines magazines, I Have issue number one and never failed buying since then. I Have more than 60 issues already with some autographed by the cover girls and the inside page girls.I collect photography stuff as well. Single Lens Reflex cameras, Toy cameras, Lomocameras, and polaroids. And I use them.I used to collect tickets from rock concerts. But I harly have time going to concerts lately.
  16. I guess you should not worry, i guess they would run after those people who create the crack before they get you.
  17. I am a big fan of both, they are created by the same group of people, if I am not mistaken. But I get too see The Simpsons more often than Futurama. Here at my countrySimpsons is being shown at the cable, at Star World, everyday while Futurama used to have a sunday evening schedule.
  18. I voted already! I did not vote for othe categories including Best Comedian. The fact the those people's name are in the category itself makes me laugh, They should all get the title. Do the voters get prizes as well or just the winners. There should also have a random drawing of winners for the voters! Please vote wisely!
  19. December 18 20054:47AM (+8GMT)I have been a professional bum for more than a year now, but Im still thankful for making the bumness in me a worthwhile and useful. Dropping out of university to focus on a webdesigning career was never easy, people hated me for spending my parents money as payment for six years in university only to stop afterwards. My parents never gave me any money after that, but this has not stopped me from learning what I have always wanted to do.... to design websites!Although, stopping school would fall under naughtiness, I still consider it as a nice. I have become resourceful and created products out of simple things. I have met, and keep meeting, people who have the same situation like me, and the have boosted more confidence my self confidence more. This Christmas and the coming New Year, I wish people would not judge people by how they performed only at schools. But how they performed on real life situations. They should not only praise the book-smarts, but see the talents within the street-smarts. Yet, I do not want the street-smarts and the book-smarts to be biased on themselves as well. They should share their knowledge to each other to achieve a certain goal perfectly. I hope more people would be just like my old classmate Joseph, who has told me that I do not need a degree to impress the bosses. Having the talent about web and graphic designing, when I did not have formal schooling about the profession, is enough to impress the bosses. And they would even say, "Wow!' for me having such an expertise to a career I never really learned at a university or any other school.I wish people would be just like some of my clients, who have appreciated my efforts to satisfy their needs for their website. Saying thank yous and a handshake would be useful to encourage me to do better for their websites.I hope there would be more open source progams available for the not well to do people who would like to learn despite their shortage to money. I hope people would support, help and encourage these programmers to continue upgrading the open source community. This wishes of mine would be too selfish. I have wished things that would benefit myself. But I am one of the needy people in th world, I have contributed enough for other people and I guess this time I have to wish for my self.I do not want to wish for a world peace... For, world peace has created the wars. We fight for our freedom, yet we never fight for our personal needs. Notice from BuffaloHELP: Credits to transfer : 7
  20. Those are to many! I search for free templates once in a while but I do not download them most of the time. I prefer to look at them to have an idea for my own design, this way I could still make my layouts original by not copying the javascripts and codes of those templates.
  21. I started using Frontpage as WYSIWYG program. But I would recommend using MAcromedia Dreamweaver, although you have to have patience studying it. Read the held Guide and Tutorials included in the software, do not buy those books for the beginners because it would definetely be the same with that in the Help Guide. After learning the one in the program, you can then buy a book with more advanced tutorials.
  22. I designed my first website when I was in my second year at the university, That was five or six years ago. I am a fan of this blond American singer and I was overwhemled by those fansites dedicated for her so I decided to create my own. Learning wasn't a problem because I have a cousin who studies computers and computer programming so I searched his books trying to see if there is one about webdesigning. Luckily I got one. I studied hard coding of HTML, then later shifted to WYSIWYG programs like Frontpage. And the knowledge on HTML coding was very helpful because WYSIWYGs does not really give me what I wanted to see. I uploaded my files to Geocities. I wa hosted there for a long time until later I found Trap 17.
  23. I prefer to have my own webhosting business in a remote computer. there are already plenty of affordable reseller accounts for webhosting, which cost varries depending on the amount that you want. This will lessen your worries about server errors and maintainance. you don even have to worry if you do not have an airconditioning unit at your home, and electricity bill will never be much problem because you do not have to have your computer or computers turned on all the time. You will just need to check your emails for inquiries and some customer's and clients messages. No complicated server upgrades and server maintenance.
