Too true, and if you notice that the fans aren't working right then just get some caned air and use it to blow the dust outta the heat sinks and fans then take your vac with the hose attachment, and when the comp is off and cooled, use it to suck the dust outta the power supply.

Well the question is this, is there a way to uninstal the language packs, other then the one you want, safely? I'm running low on space and want to do more stuff with the site and that takes space. Thanks in advance for the the help and thanks again for the help already given. If anyone would like to stop by and say hello the forum is located at here and the main site is here

One of my old coworkers had a system that was massivly overclocked, both the processor and GFX card, and he ran a Thermaltake Liquid system and after fixing a minor leak when it was first installed he didn't have a problem again. Just remember that after installation, as suggested before, don't power up your hardware till you have tested the cooling system.I would suggest routine maintenance of the cooling system. Make sure you change the water regularly and maybe running a bit of white vinagir through the system to keep it mold free. Also if you really want to make sure that it stays clean, use bottled water in it. That should keep any mold or any other fungus at bay.One other thing...if you really want to take the cooling to the max use a product by Royal Purple called Purple Ice Super Coolant. It is made for cars. I haven't used it in a liquid cooling system myself but from what I understand it doesn't corrod the system, though if you decide to use it I would keep an eye on your cooling hardware for awhile. My friend has been using it without any problems for about a month now.

Supreme Court Rules Against P2p Sharing
Logan Deathbringer replied to vizskywalker's topic in Websites and Web Designing
It might but it would really depend on the mood of the judge. TOU/TOC statements, while by law are enforceable are a bit tricky at times. As example, napster, when they got sued they had a similar statement at the beginning of their install but they still got sued and shut down till they started charging for the downloads. I'm not really sure where this ruling is gonna lead but its an interesting step for the courts in-regards to this subject. -
Well I think its time for me to bite the bullet so to speak. I would like to have The Knights of Glory Website reviewed. The main protions of the site were designed in FP so it might have problems being viewed in browsers other then IE, this will be changed soon since the site was originally hosted at angelfire, then transported to Xisto. Please be honest but kind, it is a serious work in progress and lately most of my attention has been on the new SMF that I have up and running. Thanks Logan

Sweet, this directory is a cool idea. I was planning on getting a link to Xisto put up anyways since they are my host, but have been fooling around getting my SMF up and running. Was wondering though, how do I submit for listing on the new directory, and, is there a "icon/avatar/pic" that I can use for the Xisto link. I was planning on making a sticky in my forum about Xisto and was wondering if any of the admins here would like to make a contribution to it when I get to it, ya'll know more about asta here then I do and I'd love to let you make a nice big post on my forum about it.

Windows Xp Vs. Linux Which one do you prefer?
Logan Deathbringer replied to Airlub's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I agree that Linux/unix/GNu based OS's are a much better product then anything that M$ can/will/is capbable of putting out. The biggest, and most unstated difference between the 2 though is this. People flat out don't like the way M$ and Big Daddy Gates do buisness so they write code to screw with his crap while they don't have much of a problem with Linux so they leave it alone for the most part. Most of the virus's out there are written for MS windows (all of the various flavors). -
Go get the game and look me up and we will see how things go.

ok I have a decent size problem with SMF right now. I tried to get the shout box on it, Grudges Shoutbox V 1.31 I think it is. When I tried to get it installed I get a a failure to creat stream, then my sub.php and security.php files are corrupted and I have to remove the install and the start over. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I've gone back and tried giving 777 permissions to all the files that give me errors over the last 3 times I've tried to install it but I keep gett'n the same error with sub.php and security.php. It always has the same error with the same lines I just don't get it and I'm totally frustraded and now I'm even more frustraded because I didn't write down the error to post it ARG...beer and coding don't mix...lol

Thx for the heads up Trekki so far I think that SMf is one of the best looking boards I've seen. Got a few people in that are on my forums that want me to switch to vBulletin but I don't wanna spend the $85 -$165 USD for it So I think I'm gonna see what I can do with SMF and have some FREE fun. lol

Okay, I was reading this article at Popular science and found it pretty interesting. It demonstrates with the various ways that are used to/experimented on to counteract global warming, let me give a brief explanation. Global warming is primarily caused by the Greenhouse effect. For an detailed explanation on the greenhouse effect, visit the link that I found off this site. So, how to stop global warming? Kyoto is out. US had to find another means of either: 1) reducing greenhouse gases/emissions 2) counteract the increasing CO2 in the air 3) or something... crazy The most feasible option at the moment is actually the Weyburn CO2 Project, which started in July 2000. The project itself is actually quite promising, but it does have drawbacks. On the other extreme, we have the crazy idea of putting a huge mirror in between the Sun and the Earth, which would *reduce* but not completely block the Sun's rays from reaching the earth - and therefore cooling us by a bit. Not only does this doesn't address the CO2 emissions we have in the atmosphere, and would cost an astronomical amount to start a project like that. Sounds crazy huh? What do you think?

20 Years From Now... Where do you see humanity?
Logan Deathbringer replied to Kyle Perkins's topic in Science and Technology
That's probably right, considering China's market is growing at an exponetial rate. However, as for both India and China, the industrial pollution is getting so bad that I can't imagine what will be left of it in 30 years. As for the younger generation inheriting the planet, it's not necessarily a good thing. The way I see society at the moment, there is a big seperation of classes emerging - especially with the younger generation. "The rich get richer, the poor get pooer". This scenario is especially dominant in extensively developed countries and cities. If inflation stays on course, the gap will just keep getting bigger. Believe it or not, there are those in the lower classes that despise the upper classes and vice versa. It's not longer a seperation of race alone, it's a seperation of class as well. A world with no borders, that's should be humanity's ultimate goal. -
Figured it out...I love SMF

Supreme Court Rules Against P2p Sharing
Logan Deathbringer replied to vizskywalker's topic in Websites and Web Designing
ok my 2 cents...The whole problem with P2P software and "gov't regulation" is that how can they regulate and stop the distribution of such software. If they are able to shut down the public software companies that produce it then its gonna go underground and still be distributed through internation, non-US, servers. Untill the entire world gets on board and starts making such distribution methods illegal then a U.S. Supreme court ruling is kind of a joke.As far as a legal ruling that the production of a P2P program is illegal means that programers who like to make these programs will probably just redefine what the program does and change the way that it does it. Such as masking the fact that it is a P2P program as a e-mail program and make it so that it downloads lots of "emails" from anyonamous mail servers. This would require some serious set up but its just an example.Basicly it comes down to the fact that as long as there are those who want to use the software, and those who will make it, rulings of this sort are, while important, a bit of a joke. Now if ISPs will be able to get into the act then things might change, but thats still aways off. Most ISP's state that if you host anything illegal that they will shut you down, but honestly how many ISP take the time to go through all the sites hosted on their servers and check the sites they host.Well thats my 2 cents... -
