Yes but it's cjb DOT NET rather than DOT cjb. Furthermore it's much slower than even tk and not very reliable.

Image Host New image host up and running.
musichere replied to infamousflame's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well 75MB is just 75 pictures of which are 1024KBTherefore your best bet is to only allow images to be hosted whihc are very very small, for example 50KB or something for avatars and signiatuers. That way you would be able to host a decent number of images.You probably shouldn't allow uncompressed images becuase they are a pain on servers -
Partitioning A Drive Can someone explain to me how?
musichere replied to Trojan's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Alternatively again, you can use the best (in my opinion) Acronis Partition Manager, which is made by a well established company and it allows you to modify partiions quickly and easily, and it also includes it's own booter if you ever need it. -

Imageshack is perfect for me, you can store your images and have a personal account which is just an adress which you can access from anywhere in the world without a password. The problem is with their new features, which they are charging quite a lot of money for which is just not worth is. I think they ought to make the free, since it's their dedicated userbase that brought them to the top. -
Hmm since 1.0.5 doesn't have any major sercurity problems, what exactly is the advantage of upgrading to 1.1, and what new features will the final version have when it is finally released to the public as stable?

Well to be honest Windows Explorer is the same as Internet Explorer because the basis of Windows XP is based on Internet Exporer/Windows Explorer just like SuSE is based on Konqeror.;

This is as in the number it's had to delete or downloaded or what?

Emachines Pos Is there a way to overclock this son?
musichere replied to wwheeler's topic in Hardware Workshop
That's 100% exactly what I'd do if I could afford to upgrade or replace my pc eMACHINES is the WORST type of PC you can get. It's slow, it's unrelaialbe and ALL the parts are the absolute pits of what are avaliable. -
I know you are the SMF genius here and that I shouldn't argue this, but I swear that this was relased like 2 months ago wasn't it? :PI never upgraded becuase I don't want to lose my arcade scores, even though they probably won't be lost, there are lots of people that dedicate too much time to beating highscores on that and if they were to be wiped out I think I'd get more than few bruises.

Never use words like 'Please <- snipped -> ' becuase this is clearly against Google Adsense policy, which is that you cannot encourage people to 'give you money' at the expense of the advertisers, becuase that is cheating.Google Adsense is very good, the adverts are very fresh looking and you can choose the format out of banner, text and adlinks (new but in my opinion quite useless)}

Help: How To Make A "shoutbox " ? Who know how make Shoutbox ??
musichere replied to iGuest's topic in Programming
In this day and age people rarely bother writing their own scripts like this :PShoutmix is great, the advert is only a textlink which is tiny and at the top. It is barebones featurewise but it is good enough for whatever purpose you are trying to serve.There are also quite a large number of pre-made scripts on various PHP websites that you can just download, but I recommend for you not to get ones with a database because they are harder to install and rely on the databases being up. -
I think that it's 100 megs for your entire account so yeah, it's a scam in reality. The bandiwdth prices are not unreasonalb though so that's how they are dragging you in and then making you realise that you want to use their service (which is paying for files you have already uploaded (as part of you original quota of storage))
-
I'm struggling to get to my quota per day because of homework and coursework deadlines and other schoolwork...I think I'll be leaving Xisto once I get back to positive and retrieve my emails. I'll stay semi-active here but will move my hosting elsewhere becuase I just can't keep up the work here.Thanks for everything though, and I won't be gone from here

Now that Gmail is offering 2GB of storage for 10MB files and now that there are many programs which will let you use Gmail via FTP, there is no reason why you shouldn't just use that for your data storage functions anyway. For example, if you have a file larger than the attatchment size (10MB) you can use Winrar to compress and split it into sections that are exactly 10MB so you can upload them and store them using gmail.

SMF Version 1.0.5 Released! ALL USERS MUST UPGRADE
musichere replied to Trekkie101's topic in Software
A bunch of my moderations are failing now because they are not compatibile with the new SMF but I guess it's no real loss since SMF 1.0.5 adds lots of improvements. -
Excellent quality article but don't forget that you can also use the higher-compression and also open-source equivelant which is called Ogg Vorbis which also has an encoder similar to this one for use in Winamp.

The Shuffle Thing Disgraces The Flash Mp3 Choose
musichere replied to GlobalOSSA's topic in Software
Of course you can turn off the shuffle mode, it also saves battery and you can sort of choose an order for your songs (although you will still be clueless as to what the hell you are listening to as there is still no display) and by turning off shuffle it is basically turning off the one unique feauter that was in it in the first place. -
Which Laptop Should I Buy? (Pentium/Sempron)
musichere replied to musichere's topic in Hardware Workshop
The Pentium M has L2 cache of 2MB the others don't actually say how much cache they have. Thanks for all you help, I think I will buy the other one, which is only actually £600 which is a baragin in my opinion for the laptops in United Kingdom (grossly overpriced) -
All I want is an entry level basic-does-what-I-want-and-perhaps-dualboots-linux-with laptop and these are the ones I am considering buying. SMF Is just quality from start to finish. I switched to it from Invision 1.3 and I couldn't be more happy In my opinion the best part about it is how it manages extentions which is through their own administration panel which is incredibly easy to use and moderate. Also the general running is very smooth and much easier to use than phpBB for sure.

The Shuffle Thing Disgraces The Flash Mp3 Choose
musichere replied to GlobalOSSA's topic in Software
We shouldn't see the iPod shuffle like that, it was made purely to satisfy a market, not to create a decent product and I think it has done that very successfully.People I know that own iPod shuffles say that they own them because they are smaller and more portable and you get the added excitemeny of not having the faintest clue what you're listening to (which can...somehow be a positive) and so Apple have marketed it for them exactly.If they could add a screen (obviously a good thing) then it would be able to compete at about the same price but as it stand the iPod shuffle is not a quality product but it is good enough for Apple to make an amazing profit from them.
