Supreme Court Rules Against P2p Sharing
spacewaste1405241471 replied to vizskywalker's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Very informative....But what country does this apply to?Most pirated software and things shared using peer to peer connections originate from europe. For example, isohunt.com doesn't need to follow laws passed inside Canada or the states.Or from what they say anyways... -
I honestly prefer livejournal. Alot less people read it, and there's better restriction on who can read who's journal.MySpace defeats the purpose of having a journal. Because having a journal is supposed to help you vent and get your thoughts down. But if everybody's reading it, then it kind of eliminates the purpose of having personal thoughts, cuz everybody just knows what you're thinking now .Although I do give myspace props. They've brought the online community closer together. And MySpace is also a personal website. So now everybody can say they own a part of the internet .I for one will be sticking to Lj though. Psh to conformity. On a side note: *Is adding a poll*

What Is Dns And How Does Dns Work?
spacewaste1405241471 replied to nightfox1405241487's topic in Computer Networks
Hmmm, exactly what walker said. But if you didn't understand that, and from what I've gathered. On shared hosting there is one IP address which points to the main website of the shared hosting. For example, Xisto's IP address poitns to Xisto.com even though it uses that ip address for everywebsite. The way dns works for shared hosting is that you get the nameserver (which is unique for each account registered at a set webhost). And that nameserver points to the directory where your webhosting account is located. So for Xisto. We all share one IP address. But each name server points to a different area mapped out on that IP. That's why you must provide your webhost and your nameserver when you buy a domain name. This is only what I've understood from the matter and from semi personal expiriences.Hope it helps. Sorry if I'm wrong. -
Of course you are aloud to make your own template. If I remember correctly all the phpnuke's are open source except the newest one in which they charge. Therefore you can download it and fool around with the code however you like. I think they like to keep their logo there though. But yes, almost all templates that can be found for phpnuke were made by others, so that means anybody can make one

Hmm, after further looking into the matter the tor documentations say that most web browsers, and other programs that can be enabled to use a proxy tend to leak dns information. Tor advises all users who seak truely annonymous internet to use http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Also, people said that they didn't really notice much of a speed decrease...But I'm on a 1.5mps connection....shared through my network, which is only of 2-3computers...in which most are inactive, and I noticed a real slow down in surf speed. Still a good program nontheless though, but they really expect you to read the manual. -Enjoy.

Well, like I said when I first started this thread I will give acknowledgement to wether surfjunky was a scam or not...And it was infact a scam.I did not get paid. lol, naive I was.Ah wells though. I've given up on almost all scams of such magnitude. If ever you find a good one without needing investment send a pm my way

^^I like that minus the movie downloading..Which is illegal .Going that fast though...We'd be able to do so much more....Find cures to so many diseases...Cuz more computers could contribute at higher rates...But with every plus their is a parallele negative...For example with speeds that high, a virus could spread over entire networks in minutes. The chaos would be inimaginable.Still though, I myself would really enjoy the technologie...Once it becomes cost effective (of course).

Lan Problem where do I keep going wrong?
spacewaste1405241471 replied to nightfox1405241487's topic in Computer Networks
Ethernet cable, and yes, I think you can do that. As for the network problem...I have a D-Link and it works great. Have you tried looking into the wireless settings of it? Also, it could be a range or interference problem. If not, Make sure your labtop is actualy set up for accepting connections... This can be done through the xp setup wizard...and I know you said that's plop, but it works well. Ah wells...that screenshot would be nice, you could also add me to msn if you have it, and then I could set up your comp for network access through the windows "help" feature-Remote Access. I could probably help with that because I'm very well with things that I can see, but I don't really help much with vague descriptions . Meh, Gl either way. Btw, also try making it so that your windows group for all the computers is "MsGroup" or something else you find appropriate, it helps . -

Xanga? ...
spacewaste1405241471 replied to l337 Nurse Pedestrian's topic in Websites and Web Designing
lol...Almost all the good blogs are based upon the same code anyways, unless some new one comes along and tries makeing the code itself, like livejournal.com for example . And other companies just edit the code of the original blog so meh. It's all the same to me.I personaly don't like Xanga though, and I use livejournal, or my websites journal. -

VERY amazing job. I really like what you've done with it . I posted replies to what I think of it inside your shoutbox. Also...You don't need to find a way to intergrate a bbcode help thing for this if you don't want to. This way my users will learn to do things manualy...So that they'll have more experience with BBcode. Thanks again man. Could you possibly send me means of downloading the files I need to replace to get this going? -SpaceWaste -
