hi,I've used it a few times before and its really great,but i havent had access to my cpanel in ages due to issues and such, BUT now i can't see it in the list of items in the Cpanel.can i only use it so many times?orhas it been taken off?

Right. . . . . well unless its alot better at being an OS then its likely i won't upgrade to this. . . . i do hav a 64bit processor (amd athlon 64 4000+), but i don't know if the applications will run that much faster. And as for the eye candy. . .. the only thing which impresses me is the semi-transparent windows. . . which look quite nice, BUT thats only because thats the only part of the visual style i Don't have on my PC. If you upgrade just for the visuals then your making a mistake, since they will get boring fast and you can easily download a skinning program and downlaod free skins for windows XP. . . for my ftp, if you right click on a file, the option of CHMOD is at the bottom, this is wher eu amek the changes stated above. It is not a module for joomla.I don't understand 100% what you want to do. . .do you want to make it so its editable in the joomla control panelORdo you bassicly just want to edit how the page looks and the structure.?and well done on choosing Joomla!, its quality

well, woke up this morning, and now everything is working fine for me :Pits only sunday and i didnt think the appropriate IT staff were in till monday, and i haven't received an email from them to say they've done anything. . . .so weither they have done something or the problem jsut solved itself. . . .still quite a mystery to me. . . .but thank you everyone for your help

i went and tlaked to the IT department and apparently last week, roughly the day when it stopped working was when they did some updates. . . and they said its probably likely that this has caused maybe the site to be blocked or taken of the acceptance access list.But i won't no for sure till monday, hopefully.I will keep ya posted!

Like Bufalo help just said, i'm goign to go and report this and find out what's happening. As the University has its internet access from the same source (jaynenet), which is the same ultra high connection which alot of university's share in the UK it could be a problem larger than just what my UNI (worcester) can solve.But i'm gonna go down now and see what happens.

lol, yes Adobe owns Macromedia's **bottom**.but their both good for differernt thigns :PAdobe- The Wonderful Photoshop and Illustrator, Acrobat, etcMacromedia- The God like Director, flash, dreamweaver, etctheir both great, and don't clash on software packages too much . . . .

well its not Xisto's serivce.and i've tried accessing ANY Xisto hosted websites without luck on numerous PCs and Macs.are you suggesting my university net provider has blocked the Xisto hosting servers? thats plausable i suppose.I mean i had to persuade them to give me granted access to use Cpanels and get the FTP program i use access aswell.

well b4 when i was at school i cudnt access it when it was not laoding.i'm at University now and havign the same problems.none of thsoe links worked. . . .bassicly... anything related to any Xisto hosting isnt laoding for me :Pbassicly, only the forums and main page load.all hosting just doesnt load.and when i say anything i mean anything, not jus my account, anyone else's Xisto sites dont load for me :Pits reall really weird

Thanks both of you, but i tried it all and nothing is working :PIt's really very confusing . . . . and bad sicne i'm trying to get some sites tested and done :PThing is though this happened to me before. . . . it wouldn't load any Xisto websites when iw as home or 6thform. . . .Now i'm at UNI and it won't work on my pc from my room or the other computers on campus. . . . . I doubt they would have blocked Xisto sites. . . coz other wise they wud have blocked ww.trap17.com + forums aswell . . .and yes u were right about the IE message, and firefox says "the page contains no data" . . .which is puzzeling to me (i dnt use ff normally, this coudl jsut be normal)any other ideas/input?

I can't view mine or any other hosted Xisto sites. Its been like it for 2 days now nearlly so i had been waiting it out to see if it sorted itself out. but like i said, i wasn't sure if it was jsut me or if everyone experienced the issue.

well, theres alot of good features in your forum and its all well organised.the fan pics section is nice :POne grudge though, is the skin. The white background is quite boring, as everything contrasts it alot. The black title bars and red text seems a bit ugly in my opinion, and same goes for the red title bar and yellow text. reminds me of a hotdog (ketchup and mustard lol)The banner at the top looks alrite too :Panother suggetsion would be to change the order of your modules, so your news is just under the Welcome section. Because the news is quite important, and you wouldnt know it was there unless you scroll right down. The other stat modules arnt as important as news in my opinion.but well done all the same , keep it up

yes DW 8 is the new one, and isnt amazingly differernt. Its a great program to use and has many many many helpful features, but you need to know ur way around the program first and have some knowledge of html. (and CSS if ur using versions MX 2004+, as they automaticly turn any font customising into a css style , again that is a very handy tool .

you really can't comapre the two. . . . . its jsut over kill ^_^Dreamweaver = Industry standard webdesign program, excellent to use for everything and can do soooo much. thats why its the industry standard.Frontpage = Best for amateurs and easy to pick up. No WAY in the same league as DW. . . . . even Adobe Go-Live is better than frontpage

I.E u start of with $10. . . . which means $3 a month if u view 200 sites a day, everyday of the month .its only worth it if u invest lots of money, like with $1000 invested u get $300 a month, for viewing 100 sites a day. everyday.i would, but i don't think i wanna risk loosing my money, especially a large amout (to me, since im a student at UNI).
