1. Unfortunately he already confronted me when setting this up. He is using forums on another website instead of installing his own forums. He had a redirection going from his domain to that website, but he didn't want the url to change so I suggested using frames. Unfortunately doing so causes the URL to remain the same even when surfing in the frame. I still heavily suggest installing PHPbb or perhaps simple machines. If you wanted you could have php forward the variables from your domain to the frame, but clicking on links in the frame still wont update the url. Maybe next time you should listen to me Tramp...
2. That happens to me all the time... I've fell a few times... It's really annoying actually. You have to just train yourself not to get up fast and not to go from really hot places to really cold ones. The doctor said it was because of low blood pressure because I can't stand the taste of salt of butter and eat neither when i can avoid it. I also am not a big fan of soda.
3. Thanks for copying my topic... I guess it wasn't a good enough review...
4. The website is beautiful. I love the menus how they are expanding as you mouse over. Nice JS my friend. One suggestion if you don't mind? That search bar just feels kind of strange to me, sitting where it is. I think that it would look better if you lowered it so it was sitting right above the nav bar, and perhaps give it an image to make it settle in more. Perhaps have a rounded box coming out of the bottom of the nav bar and have the search sit in there. I don't know, I'm sure you can think of something even better, I just feel like the search box was kind of slapped on there at the last moment in a space that was available. And if you want safari users to love you you can take a look at this for your search box.
5. The first show of season two was AMAZING! It really was suspenseful and very shocking. If you missed it and didn't record it, here's just a little hint at what happened so you don't get left behind: Talk about shocking!
6. I try to stay away from inviting people because if somebody gets banned from the site they usually take a look at the person who invited you and they usually get either a warn or a ban too. As Tetraca said, its probably best to wait for registrations to open, but if I were you, I wouldn't be advertising that you want a Demonoid account, and especially on Xisto. Although I'm sure that your intentions are honest, a majority of the torrents on Demonoid are stolen, copyrighted files, and somebody might get the idea that your intentions aren't honest.
7. Inventing new technology to go suck high speeds does seem a bit excessive. I find humans to be rather impatient. I look back to bout 7 years ago when I had dial-up and quite a slow computer, and didn't even mind waiting, but now if I were going to use that again I'd probably destroy the computer out of frustration. Even now our connection speeds and computer speeds seem decent but I can't help but think that in 20 years we are going to wonder how we could even stand these computers we use now. This technology is quite amazing, but I think it would be better if instead of inventing new technology to go 100 times faster than what the average person has, how about work on bringing current technology to the person. If we have the technology to have a transfer rate of 160GB/s, we should be able to be making half that, and cheaply and accessible to the average internet user. I know that T1 lines can go quite fast, but those are so expensive usually only large corporations use it.I wouldn't be surprised if houses started to come with a second dedicated line for the internet in the near future. Pretty soon the internet and the phone won't have anything to do with each other anymore. New houses will be built with a line going to a station which is owned by many major ISP's. The line remains unused until you sign up for service with the ISP then you get an extremely fast connection with a much cheaper price than a dedicated line costs nowadays.Anyway I'm just letting my mind wander. This was a very interesting find. My mind will still be thinking about this for some time.... 160gb a second... wow...
8. Lol that is one of my favorites too. Even though I really enjoyed that episode, I think my absolute favorite is House Rules, where the smart house holds everyone captive. Many good laughs in that one
9. I was actually going to wait and see if my suggestion to have a tv show subform under the entertainment board but seeing as its two days away from the premier, I'll just post here.Eureka is defiantly my favorite show on tv. Its a sci-fi channel series about a U.S. marshal who accidently runs into futuristic town where alot of the advanced U.S. government's advanced inventions are made. I first saw a few ads for this show last year and I started watching the first series and got hooked to the show. Its the classic sci-fi type theme mixed with suspense and humor. The sci-fi channel recently announced that the second season of Eureka will be aired on July 10th! Huzzah! I was wondering who else here on trap has seen it and what their oppinion on the show was.
10. Yea i realized that it was in computer host after i posted it. My bad, I sent a pm to buffalo help but I guess you got to it first
11. In the description of the topic is what language he is talking about: "define variables in flash". So I'm guessing you mean actionscript. Now most programing languages are very similar when defining variables. Flash isn't as strict as c++ is so you do not need to put the type of variable when declaring it. To declare a variable in flash all you need to write is var variablename; After the variable is defined, you can then set it the same way you do it as shown above in both c++ and vb (and also pretty much every other language). variablename=value; Value can either be another variable, a string (text, which must be surrounded in quotations ex: variablename="text", or a number (there are many different value types for holding numbers, when you assign a number to a variable in flash it automatically assigns the variable to the correct type so you do not need to worry about it). I assume your class will go over this shortly along with all of the different variable types.
12. I just recently realized that there is no sub-forum for tv shows in the entertainment forum. I'm not just posting this on a whim, I was just about to post something regarding a tv show in entertainment and I was sure there would be a sub-forum for that... Or if there might not be enough topic under this perhaps rename the movies sub-forum to Movies & Tv?Just a suggestion!
13. In the future it would be nice if you posted the fix on Xisto but since I'm so uber pro at flash I'll tell everybody for you. The problem was that you were putting an on event in a frame. Any time you use on(etc...), it needs to be in the actions of that symbol itself. If you just put it in the frame, flash has no idea what the user is supposed to click on for the event to happen.
14. That last picture was enough to scare me, yet alone the story. I really don't believe in ghost stories like this but it would still probably freak me out if one of those paintings were in side my house
15. Oh... You used a website to make it -.-I thought you actually programmed it yourself. It does seem useful I would probably use it if it worked for a decent operating system. I'll be waiting for linux and mac support i guess...
16. The flash buttons seem to work fine for me but open everything in a new window. This is really annoying for a nav bar. If you used the getURL() function, make sure as the second paramater you put "_self", so it doesn't do this. Example: getURL("http://http://ww38.yoursite.com/page.html;;

New Rpg

The most important part of an RPG is the story. If you just say "I'm going to make an RPG" its going to suck. After you have a story and a well written concept of what the game is going to be like, THEN you can start thinking of a title. It is very easy to come up with a title after you have everything planned out. Small stuff like the title should only come after you are ready to start programing, or even after you have started programing.
18. Because of lack of participation, I am closing creds. The following users have received credits:Zachy2411-5michaelper22-5narutorasengan17-10t3jem-10The website will remain up for anybody who wants to marvel at my beautiful template, but no new challenges are going to be added. However, I am still in a giveaway mood, and on my birthday (July 26th) I shall give away more credits than ever. More info on this massive credit giveaway will be posted later.
19. unfortunately you cannot do this without modifying some server files, eh... not sure which ones so don't ask me. There is a much easier way of tricking the user into thinking its a regular jpg image when it's really a php file. Make a new folder on your server called name.jpg and inside of it put your php file, but rename it to index.php. In many cases, on websites with dynamic images, you can add /index.php after the image and it will not result in a 404 error, because they use this.
20. That error means that the page already sent the header to the browser before you used the header function. Even though truefusion is right, you don't need the header, if you want it, you have to put it before you echo anything out to the browser.
21. Another one is when your friend has a slow computer or wants to buy more ram tell him to go to downloadmoreram.tk :DEdit: for anybody who might think otherwise its a joke, and its just an animated gif image that shows a progress bar. For some reason some people believe it actually downloads something on your computer.
22. I agree. When I first saw the topic I was sure an admin was the poster. I was going to check it to see what kind of packages it sends to Xisto (and perhaps secretly other websites) but it slams me with this message: Even when I'm running firefox 1.5ITS BECAUSE I'M ON A MAC ISN'T IT! I hate people who don't add mac support to their software. Until somebody gets a chance to check out what this toolbar connects to, I suggest not typing in any information into it especially your password. I wouldn't even risk installing it on the browser you normally visit Xisto on just incase it has a cookie stealer in it.
23. I had an idea for a logo for your site and I made it, so here it is: Go ahead and tell me if you don't like it. If you decide to use it, here are some suggestions to make it look good on your site: Set the background color of wherever it's going to be to #333333 Put the logo in a table who's width matches the width of your content and set this image as the table background. This image is a continuation of the background and the line which should make the logo fit in nicer.

If you don't like it thats fine, just tell me what you don't like about it. Enjoy!
24. I do think that the 3 strikes law is a bit excessive, but I'm sure the guy knew about the law, and If I was caught twice stealing something, I wouldn't really want to attempt to steal something else if I risked getting life. Don't get me wrong, I think that the law is very unfair, and I don't think he deserves it, but he seriously should have been smart enough to have seen this coming.
